    It's pretty inspirational to see student films like these, especially on film(16mm in this case). I'm planning to purchase an old camera and make my own movies using old school visual effects and matte paintings.

    • @cezar211091
      @cezar211091 9 років тому +2

      +Jane Beanette Oh, it's paintings on glass. You can do anything that has to do with backgrounds and mix it with the live footage. Simplistic explanation, I know. That's how they did it before computer generated animation. The cameras are not cheap but they're not expensive either, affordable prices can be found on ebay, for example. Cheers

    Great cinematography, use of locations and narrative without dialogue. Well done film.

    This footage (Super 16mm?) looks just amazing! Great film and stunning cinematography. Very sharp (beating many a 35mm release print), yet silky. Seems like you have control over the shutter angle (I see a strobe effect in some shots) and great control over depth of field. Love the natural colors - and just a hint of grain as not to be distracting or too "indie/retro-gritty/experimental" looking. This is top notch on all levels!
