It's crazy how you can take the upperclassmen or the freshmen against some of the other bands and they'll stick take the win. JSU is on the cusp of showing us something special like never before and i can't wait.
If you love this you gotta see that 5th quarter when they combined. Dropped two new songs and brought a song back. They are about to be a problem next year again. And them trumpets gonna be goated by the time they are seniors because it looks like the underclassmen got a lot of those screamers
KB, I’m a clarinetist and I WAS THERE! I met some clarinetist and the band director. However, I’m in middle school but I am in Band Of Excellence jpps. It was soo much fun 😃
The future of this band is definitely in good hands, those freshmen are dangerous NOW so just think when they get to their JR year......they will def be running the SWAC for yrs to come.
But did anyone realize that this is like THEE MERGE part 2? They MERGED in the new at the beginning of the season, and now they MERGING out the old to welcome in the new.
I loved seeing the competition between the upper and underclassmen, unfortunately the upperclassmen not only had the more mature sound, they also outnumbered the underclassmen in most sections. I think it might have been better to just split the band EVENLY into two groups, name one group one school color and the same with the second group. 🎉I still love the idea and both groups were winners just for participating, plus this let's you know how amazing they sound as one!!!❤🎉
I remember my HS band director made us freshmans play Vice Versa and had the upperclassman play it afterwards and the difference was major. After that we was waxin for 4 years straight 😂
I like pine bluffs neck you should check it out it’s definitely different and yea hoe check uses the same bass line from chillin wit my broad Rip Big Hawk also here’s a fun fact a lot of people think jsu plays coming to America but it’s actually “on everything” by David banner that uses a marching band sample of coming to America
Interesting who side you said was better lol but I was there. You can tell by the drum majors upperclassmen on the home side in the shade underclassman in the sun on the visitors' side
JSU played Danger 2019 SU most definitely ain’t played danger. JSU played let’s do it at boombox #1 Bama state played it a week or 2 later. Do you know what you’re talking about???? 😂
@@manniefreh I am specifically asking when does marching band season end? It ended for us after football season. We then went into concert band season. Seems like in the SWAC, marching band is all year around.
@Avery-Mac as a jsu and boom alum. No it doesn't end. But in the spring semester we focus more on ensembles such as woodwind, concert, jazz, and percussion. We would have practice from 6-7 monday-thursday. If the band director wanted to only work with the upper brass or lower brass on concert pieces, then the schedule would change. We wouldn't practice for a session like this until the day before
Hit that "LIKE" if you think the Upperclassman can wax 90% of the SWAC?
And You Know This, Maannn!!!🧨🧨💨💨
90 percent is crazy fam you got southern tsu famu in the swac if we talking complete bands each band takes the edge in one department or anoher
@@jericoyouharrison9748tenn state is not in the Swac 🥴
90% but they can’t take THEE 100 🔥
@@Joneschapel-q2l No, it’s just called tradition. Famu has variety, something Jackson and Southern could only dream of

Man if they ever get 400+ members I'm sure they gonna start having there own parade band and football season band😂😂😂
They already have the band broken up into Variety and jr. Variety performance status.
Both sides trumpets eating💪🏾
This proof that our band program will continue on the right pathway for years to come. LuvDaBoom
2024 finna be crazzzyyy
Kb be loud and wrong about these song names sometimes….hilarious😂😂😂😂😂
The freshmen held their own going up against all other classes!

That’s crazy jsu underclassmen could march a 12 game season and really have the same results as if they whole band was there that’s scary 🫣
Just goes to show what jsu got up there sleeve dont even have to be 100% to blow out the whole stadium
The upperclassmen sound good AF!!!
KB, I’m a clarinetist and I WAS THERE! I met some clarinetist and the band director. However, I’m in middle school but I am in Band Of Excellence jpps. It was soo much fun 😃
This was JSU Blue & White Football Game. That’s why it’s aggressive.
Im gone need that 5th qt of the blue and white game FOR SURE and the Day with a Boom combined video
KB it’s just the freshman class. Not underclassmen (including sophomore)
If that’s just freshman… JSU is doing amazing..
The future of this band is definitely in good hands, those freshmen are dangerous NOW so just think when they get to their JR year......they will def be running the SWAC for yrs to come.
First band definitely upperclassman
23:59 good & plenty🔥
But did anyone realize that this is like THEE MERGE part 2? They MERGED in the new at the beginning of the season, and now they MERGING out the old to welcome in the new.

As a fan of SU, i gotta admit, JSU got some killas for 2024.. The Boombox is gonna be a classic this year
Drum majors were marching on the field
They’re blowing to the freshmen coming to their side

I personally like Southern’s Neck better. I like JSU’s groovy version too so it’s hard to even compare.
JSU has the best neck..
Freshman class ready!!!!!
You should react to the high school battle of the bands 2024 with carver Douglas reed and booker t Washington

Southern Against everybody 😂🤦🏾♂️
Southern lost to jsu alone so wdym ?? Su not the band u think they is 😂
They're already playing Danger. Southern played that last season. They're also playing LET'S Do It. Bama State played that last season.
When did SU play danger?

JSU is def a great band. Just wonder though .... is marching band season ever over in the SWAC?
Not sure if I understand your point but, JSU has a robust music dept including other ensembles like the Symphonic Wind ensemble and concert band.
They better watch those elections.😮😮😮

The freshman sound good.. just a little tempo issues. I'm going with the freshman for moral support 💙🤍💙🤍
Definitely wasn’t winning with ease but they did have an advantage with sound but freshman screamers were cleaner and more accurate
