Both Dagda and that horse peacock demon I forgot his name would look at nanashi’s persona in utter disguist. Dagda cuz he realized that the boy he’s now bound to is the reincarnation of his brother and that horse demon would accuse Nanashi of sacrilege to both yhvh and Lucifer at the worst kind, claiming that his awakening marked him as enemy of all gods of both law and chaos, and defitnletly an aberration in the face of the divine powers. After killing that demon, Stephen would come and explain that ther hasn’t been a wild card for a millennia. He later explains that Awakening Personas are in fact the worst sin a human could do against the gods because not only it represents the user’s other self, but alto the absolute Declaration of Independence from the guidance of gods by finally realizing that the persona user has discovered and accepted his flaws and such and he’s willing to better itself and find answers to its question by himself and other rather than praying for a god to fulfill him with a vain sense of accomplishment. Persona awakenings were quite common in the past, but they vanished from the human cognition during the dark ages due to a rare instance of a ceasefire between angels and demons to exterminate all persona users and subjugate the humans into not awakening personas anymore. Only a few selected worlds are seen with persona users which are the ones that neither Yhvh nor Lucifer hold some sort of power in there. The more humanity understand, the demons and gods will undoubtly undergo changes for the better or worse. But that’s the issue, gods don’t want to change.
