Take your time, go very slow. It will feel awkward at first & can be frustrating. Don't try to get all of the movements right all at once. Keep going over and over the first movement until it's perfect, then go the second until it's perfect. Repetition and not giving up will pay off in a big way later on. With each movement make sure you are totally relaxed and breathing right; upward movements inhale, downward movement exhale. You will eventually feel very comfortable, it will get easier Thomas
Yes, Muchas Gracias Master Wong, it's very intricate movements they look easy but are not, many repetitions to learn the combinations until it becomes no Mind until it becomes Natural without thinking the Movements, I Dance Flamenco and it's kind of Similar, will do the breathing at the same time as the Movements, thanks again Master Wong, will keep u posted
Hi Master Wong, I am a woman who is fighting against a cancer, fighting for it doesn't come back. I have found these videos and started to learn and practice every morning, step by step, and I feel fine, your teaching is wonderful, clear, easy to understand. Putting this course on line you gave me the chance to do something I couldn't even hope for: doing the Thai Chi I move in time, I live every second, every moment of a second. My time, its end, is the monster I'm facing and Thai Chi teaches me that I own my time, every second of it and I'm the master of it and of my body. Me, not a cancer or anything else. God bless you.
red64419 Keep fighting, happy to hear you still have hope and keep believing in your self. Happy to hear that my videos are able to give you another path to walk on. May you succeed and live the life you want.
red64419 On the subjet of cancer, if this can help you, it is said that cancerous cells feed off sugar and that it is better to have a low glycemic index diet (similar to what diabetic people eat), in order to keep it away; which means avoiding sugars like glucose, fructose, honey, maple syrup, and even fruit juice (except whole fruits because the fibers are there to slow down the absorbtion of sugar), but also flours (bread, pastas, most boxed cereals from the grocery store, etc.) and other simple starches from natural sources likes potatoes (and bananas not too often, there are other good sources of potassium). It can be difficult to follow exactly, but to lower the glycemic index of the meals you eat helps a lot and it means basically eating more vegetables (except root vegetables that contain more starch), more legumes and more good proteins, and if you still eat some of the things I mentionned you should eat less, it's better to reduce the portions to add a lot of vegetables to reduce the absortion time of the sugars in the food, which fibers, proteins do (for example a spinach salad, which I eat almost everyday because it is one of the best vegetables for your health; it contains a lot of nutrients, and you can add any raw vegetable you like and seeds in it, even feta cheese which contains less fat than many other cheese). Avoiding trans fat and eating very little saturated fat is also important (so not a lot of fat cheese), replacing it with more good oil like Olive oil, and consuming Omega 3 fatty acid from either fish, seeds (flax, chia) or seaweeds. Doing this, having enough sleep and drinking enough water while still eating 3 to 6 times a day (avoiding some food doesn't mean not eating anymore), will help your overall health while keeping cancer away and you'll have more energy to practice taichi and other exercices. I wish you the best of health and happiness.
BrainiacN5 Thank you! I already Eat To Beat cancer, and I find it easy, because it is the way I do since I was a child. I think that kindness and empaty are very important too to live a better life, both offering them and receiving them. And that is why I thank you very much. Wish you all the best.

Thankyou for this video im a grade 8 student and i have to learn taichi because this is our project we have to perform it thankyou master wong From:Philipines🇵🇭🇵🇭
Depending on what kind of shape your in, karate has some great initial benefits. I started shorin ryu shorinkan karate about 6mo ago (mostly cause i have a dojo close to my home). But the last 6 months I lost a solid 30lbs and now it has led me to Tajiquan. I am studying to practice both now, I take the lessons of Tajiquan and apply them to my karate. Anyway, I am 43 years old, and the improvements it made to my body have been substantial. Don't get my wrong, I have worked very hard, put in alot of effort, as much effort as a middle aged overweight man with rods & screws in his lower back a broken ligament in his right knee can put in! But the results have been nothing short of amazing, i am in the best shape of my life, I am 195lbs and 6ft tall, I was 6'1" before my back surgery in 2005. I guess what I am saying is, whether it is karate or tajiquan, if you put the effort in, you WILL be amazed, and there is SO much more than just having abs now, it can change your mind/body/spirit and give new meaning to life. Thank you, went a little longer than planned, but I LOVE martial arts especially Tajiquan! And I found karate, mine anyway, is just Tajiquan cut up and militarized.
I watch all your videos and have been training since I was small boy people that don't like these video can't see the control and style in the body movements and don't understand how long and hard you have worked that's to bad hope your well I send people to ur video after all my videos hope your well take care master Wong
its not only of memorizing, you have to feel a certain way while doing it..like your floating , and that's something they dont tell you. they jus make it look like choreography.
Master wong I am from India. I really love your all videos and these are really useful. 11 Year old videos are also really good. I appreciate your affort
Thanks.I attended a Taster taichi session this morning at Barnet Library organised by Barnet Borough in its drive for Health and WellBeing. That was so so smooth and quietly enjoyable and so relaxing.I have put my name down to follow this Body Mind and Soul several-old practice at the particular programme for beginners. And I thought I would check UTube and there it is.And it jogged my memories a nd I hope to pursue this present upload. Many Thanks for bringing Peace of Mind and Soul

Many many thanks its my first time to watch this and follow your lead today. Hoping i can follow and learn slowly and be healthy in my late 50’s. So inspired and more power. Many thanks 🙏
I myself have been doing Tai chi for about 3 years now my sifu is a 7th generation grandmaster his name is Steve Wong and before him I was training with hall of famer Brian knack
Thank you Master Wong. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your instructional videos. I am a student of TKD but want to learn the mental part of martial arts. Tai Chi is one of those martial arts taught mental stability before physical techniques. Which is why I am here today to fully understand the way of the movements and how to execute them as demonstrated. A little hard to follow up on movements on the angle of the camera, but I will improvise the best I can. Keep up the excellent work. And thank you again for all your effort.
Excellent! I can follow this. It's well explained in step-by-step. I review specific segments for clarity and practice until honed before I move on to the next segment. Well done!

Thank you master wong. To all the critics in the comments, don't watch if you don't like it. Keep your opinions to yourself until you become a master then you can talk s***
Tai chi has lot of benefit and quite powerful. It can balance our body flow and make our body more healthy. If you want feel its unique, you need to have patience and hard work and you will love it.
very cool format. you do a couple things differently than I do, but I appreciate the principles. your videos are consistently informative and fun. cheers (2.2 million views at this time)
Very good lesson but the third time through I figured out what was throwing me off, one of the things throwing me off. At 4:45 the instructor starts the steps again but this time facing a different camera. It would have been nice to only use one camera as the front camera. Master Wong is my new tai chi instructor. If my Chapel HIll instructor reads this: grasshopper returns.
It has been almost twenty years since the last time I performed Yang Style T’ai Chi Ch’uan. I’m now a month from 45 and I live with virtually unbearable pain in my neck, shoulders, lower back, hips, and knees. Basically my eyebrows are the only part of my body that isn’t hurting. It would be good to take this video as a refresher as I’ve forgotten much and I know that this would be a low-impact exercise that could help. Thank you for posting these videos.
Great video! I think it would help a lot if you had another camera from above, all the time, this way it would be easier to understand to which side you're turning every time.
Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that is practiced with slow movements usually for health purposes. When practiced at high levels and at high speed is like many other martial arts punching, pushing, and kicking.
I purchased the Tai Chi lessons and am very pleased with it. I opted to start with the Chen form rather than Yang. I uploaded a video of me going through lesson 1 in hopes some people more experienced than I could give me a few pointers on how to improve my poor form.
am up to the end of part two, but keep coming back to remind where I am I have only learned from knowledge shared, this Master Wong I believe is correct and balanced to practice. I shall pay you when I am ready! Maybe I can get one of your shirts? Would be good to get the Tai Chi uniform from you if you are going to stock that in the future at reasonable prices

Linda Verhoeven You're welcome. I've never looked myself, but I'm sure there's plenty of material you can find online so you can learn to at least imitate the form in an appreciable fashion. Good luck!
Thanks for the wonderful Taichi presentation. I wish to learn from this video. However the camera angles used in the video gives me bit confusion. May be one angle for all the moments gives clear picture I guess. Thanks a lot for your help
thanks ...i will subscribe and i hope i will be able to teach myself along with your help.....i have watched this video 10 times and still have a hard time making out all the footwork and hand movements but with practice i think im sure to get it..
It is waterbending, waterbending is based on the Yang style of Tai Chi. Firebending is based on Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. Earthbending is Hung Gar (unless you're Toph in which case it is Southern Praying Mantis). And Airbending is based on Ba Gua or 8 trigrams formation.
I will repeat and follow like a mirror reflection, but I found myself confused when the view is changing. It would be helpful to show the view from above all the time. Thank You anyway for this video.
Hi, to all who are having problems with the speed of instruction, I have been doing Tai Chi for 13 months now, by nature I am a very impatient person and could not understand why I would get to a point in the form, then my head would no longer keep up and I would get frustrated with myself. So, for you beginners, it is all about repetition, do one little bit at a time. What causes the problem is this, you watch what is needed, you listen to the verbal instruction and try to understand that while at the same time as being able to move the body, arms and legs all at the same time. By stopping mid flow and thinking it breaks the concentration, I have persisted with Wu Tang Tai Chi because of a serious back injury, but over time I have been made aware of several other sorts of side effect benefits too, it is well worth persisting with, best of luck to you all, but remember, relax, breath correctly and move at the correct speed, unless you are going into competition, who cares how long it takes to get the hang of it? Surely it is being done for one's own benefit? The journey of a 1000 miles must start with a single step, Grasshopper

I easily learned this by flipping the video. You can download the video then flip it through the use of a video editor, or use an extension in Chrome (Flip this). :)
You will eventually feel very comfortable, it will get easier

I myself have been doing Tai chi for about 3 years now my sifu is a 7th generation grandmaster his name is Steve Wong and before him I was training with hall of famer Brian knack
I can't wait to begin practicing tai chi. always admired its peaceful serene movements.
Well done!
Hello master. I like Taichi so much, thank you so much for your video. Very clear and easy to understand 🙏🥰

Thank you master wong. To all the critics in the comments, don't watch if you don't like it. Keep your opinions to yourself until you become a master then you can talk s***
Woo chi position ,like sitting on a bar stool, and sink rooted.. lift hands is like they are on strings..🙏
Things are simple when you explain rarher than pure imitation. Very well done Master!

il beaucoup remercier ceux la qui sont appelée à enseigner.Grand merci à eux tous de ma part, longévité à vous encore et encore.
Tai chi has lot of benefit and quite powerful. It can balance our body flow and make our body more healthy. If you want feel its unique, you need to have patience and hard work and you will love it.

I created a playlist called Masterful movements... You truely are a master sifu... thx for the video
Wow you're a good teacher u have inspired me to do Tai chi...i hope i can do it
Very good lesson but the third time through I figured out what was throwing me off, one of the things throwing me off.

Este Paraguaio é campeão, não entendi nada, mas os movimentos, hehe, agora sim, aprendi... Gratidão mestre Wong.
Straightly loving it. Tai Chi is a wonderful way to relax. Thank you, I will do my best to learn as much as I can from Master Wong.
So calm in this video Master Wong .
Hello Master Wong, thanks for sharing this lesson with us. It's very easy to understand, but takes a bit of time for beginners like me. Hahaha.
This is so awesome, because I don´t have any Tai Chi teachers near me!
Thank you very much Master 🎉. Excellent
You are very welcome
you are very good , wonderful (from south korea)
am up to the end of part two, but keep coming back to remind where I am
I have only learned from knowledge shared, this Master Wong I believe is correct and balanced to practice.

This yang style is the style I'm most familiar with and the one I'm most comfortable with. Much more than the chen or wu styles.
Come to Brazil
Ok cool 😎 Get motivated read my book 📚 here the link: 👉 linktr.ee/masterwong
Again another very well explained lesson Master Wong.
Omg I want to learn this soo badly than I'll look like Aang from Avatar :D
You should look at Bagua zhang if you want to look like Aang when he's air bending. Tai Chi was used as a reference for water bending.
omg thank you I didn't know that :D
Linda Verhoeven You're welcome. I've never looked myself, but I'm sure there's plenty of material you can find online so you can learn to at least imitate the form in an appreciable fashion. Good luck!
Katana
I Love MTN DEW Katana from MK? Or Katara from the southern water tribe? (Who cares, like both)
This was absolutely fantastic, thanks a lot for this ❤
Amazing Your All Training Videos i am Too Happy And Also Like you Master Sifu i Really RESPECT BY My Heart 🙏❤
The bester tai chi, I'm foud this lesson, and i'm try to lean it now very good
Thanks for the wonderful Taichi presentation. I wish to learn from this video. However the camera angles used in the video gives me bit confusion. May be one angle for all the moments gives clear picture I guess. Thanks a lot for your help
This is literally water bending
Master Katara would be proud
the tai chi style was used for waterbending!
Yeah each element was based off a martial art in the last airbender. Tai Chi was the inspiration for waterbending.
I only came here for the water bending
That's why I'm here
thanks ...i will subscribe and i hope i will be able to teach myself along with your help.....i have watched this video 10 times and still have a hard time making out all the footwork and hand movements but with practice i think im sure to get it..
Hi, to all who are having problems with the speed of instruction,
I have been doing Tai Chi for 13 months now, by nature I am a very impatient person and could not understand why I would get to a point in the form, then my head would no longer keep up and I would get frustrated with myself.
I have to practice this I know this will help change my life thank you for this video master wong and may God bless u.
Don Sells 👊👊👊
These exercises are excellent.
