This dude looks like a Rock Star and he definitely knows what he’s talking about. But for $24k I’m gonna stick with my UAD Appollo with Plug-ins / Waves Plug-ins... I’m loving my sound already... But if someone has the cash to burn and the space then the dangerous Mixing package is a power option.
$24k is cheap. U was thinking more like $100 k that's awesome. I think it would climb up there when you plug everything together. I was think my a good recording studio minimum $100k that might get you a guitar and mics no drums keys or brass.
Hi, DJ_Urban_BG. Thanks for reaching out with your question. Dangerous is well known for their transparency when it comes to an audio path. This would be great for mixing and mastering. You will need a mic pre in front of it if you want to use as an interface. Riley Koenemann, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1226, Riley_Koenemann@sweetwater.com
@@DJURBANBG I would personally look at the Clarett 2pre. These are fantastic pres: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Clar2PreUSB--focusrite-clarett-2pre-usb-10x4-audio-interface Riley Koenemann, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1226, Riley_Koenemann@sweetwater.com
So I'm truly a beginner to the mixing and recording scene...I honestly didn't understand most of what he said. BUT this feels more complicated than it has to be. That said, his confidence could sell water to a fish.
You don't want to loop a mic pre into the LIAISON (input and output). If you hit phantom power- BOOM! Here you are simply running the output of the preamp into the input of LIAISON buss A.
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out! The convert 2 is a premium 2 channel D to A converter. So this would be a great solution for listening back to a printed summing mix. However by itself, it would not have enough outputs to work with that many channels of summing. Mickey Cushing, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3024, Mickey_Cushing@Sweetwater.com
@@riktascale4 Hey again! If you wanted to utilize all 24 channels of summing, you would likely need to sync 3 of the Convert 8 converters together. That would give you 24 channels in total. Feel free to call or email with any other questions. Thanks! Mickey Cushing, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3024, Mickey_Cushing@Sweetwater.com
@@jossuecastaneda8135 Nope but it IS a really good monitor control with the option of switching between 2 sets of studio monitors and mic talk back. The 2 bus+, which I also have offers 3 different colors which is a plus other than 'summing' . I still run mixes through them from time to time but as long as my mixes are 👍summing makes little difference except for some color which I rarely need for the style of music I produce. Also when I automate effects in logic through a bus for the entire mix, I am unable to retain the effects when I sum😑
Man, i just don't get it. Sometimes history repeats itself. Sometimes it goes sideways. And sometimes it forces you to ask wtf? Doesn't matter, just pick one. ...watching the tape come off that reel and goin round that mic stand... just sayin.

Looks sweet. Wish i could have it now but I have to wait at least 2 years. Gotta buy a house first.
Dangerous to your wallet.
So THIS is how the other half lives! Nice.

How about Dangerous SOURCE , is it still good for mixing and mastering , i also want to use it as interface and connect mic preamp to it ?

Totally. A dbox by them is already near overkill for most studios.
I thought the manual states that you should not run a mic pre into the liaison .did I miss understand?

Would running my 2 bus+ and d box in and out of convert 2 make a difference in sound quality????
I already have them running with 2 Apollos.

How about just using an audio interface into a swimming bus and back into the audio interface to record the stereo mix?
