- YEP, IT'S THAT time again, when I have a feeling that I miss a previous car too much and decide to secretly look for another. it happens a lot actually, lol!
So based on the last video in which I was on my way back from KKB, this beauty is what that trip was for!

EDIT: The long-wheelbase W126 is called the V126, it's the 1st time MB used a different chassis code for this variation.

I remember my late father purchasing a similar two tone green 300 SEL W126 in the early 90s. I remember seeing it for the first time the next day, bright and early on a Saturday morning, and I remember being so incredibly proud of him. I had tears in my eyes seeing that car again. Thanks for the great trip down memory lane Chris!

Love the sound when you closed the rear door! SEL and sunroof means this is a CBU model. Only the SE was CKD in Malaysia. Another fast way of spotting a SEL is the thicker vertical double chrome strip for the rear quarter lights. The SE had a single chrome strip. For me the facelifted 300SEL had better presence but the original pre-facelift 280SEL with the smaller 14” bottle cap rims and thinner bumpers is far more elegant and captures the original design better. I also love the deep burble from the in-line 6 which today’s direct injection ICE no longer have. Congratulations on your lovely new acquisition!

Love the two tone green exterior and the interior looks so nice. The curtains work for this car too. Super good pick up. Loved the silver one from back in the day and this one is just as cool. How do you get classic car status tho ?

@@clarencechiong5331 typically the SEL variant is at least twice the price of a normal SE. They're going for about 30k+ thereabouts, and more.
