Where to start… Love US Made and TX made boots, you know that. I have had my issues with AB and sold all but one pair I use as a beater. I contacted them about a quality issue and they told me they don’t have a warranty, which was weird. I talked to retailers and they will take boots back and can deal with AB but they get screwed in the process. I wish they would take their customer service to the next level. As for the heel, they are supposed to be a pressed leather heel. AB has such a cult following, if you tell all the negative issues with the company, you will get 1000 comments saying no one has ever had an issue with them… I would actually give them another try, but never by online order, I would say the best option is to try them in store and wear them for more than 3 minutes when you do try them. 100%agree on the insole, it’s not my thing, but it does make them more comfortable when standing all day. The sole saver is kind of amazing, gives a lot of grip compared to traditional leather and does just what it says. Saves the sole and gives much longer wear resistance. I do like the cutter and I’m with you, not a fan of the double stitched welt. I wish they made more or were more widely available. I think for suede/rough out, elephants and most exotics the toe bug and wrinkle are unneeded. You about hit everything on them. Good video!
With this detailed comment, you should make a video on them! I pinned your comment because it has some great info! I tried to keep all that in mind for the video, they arent a perfect company that I would like to see improvements. But do make quality boots. Thanks for watching man, i really appreciate it!
@@smackdadiousI am so bad at boot reviews, or any tabletop reviews. I am, I think, in general bad at talking to myself on camera. Come back up and we will do a colab review on AB and the new Leddy's. @@CowboyCartel yeah if you are in the area hit me up and lets go to a bar, go to heritage boots or something. Yeah man. We'll need to schedule something maybe next month or sometime after that so I can get to Jobes again. Ill bring my only American Hat Co grizzly hat so I can appear on the podcast again lol
Pull tabs with inserts and that contrasting piping are really impressive level of details. Also never heard of the boots being made out of elephant, definitely exotic. Cool to hear they are contracting that leather the legal way.
In my collection of boots i have Rio and AB. My AB are not the lower end Horsepower. Great boots, i always try to buy American made boots with hard leather insoles. Alao, glad to see your videos back, been to long.
Nice presentation Chad. I don't mind that boot at all. Granted I've never tried a pair of cutter toe, but it seems like a fine boot and one I'd consider. Cheers! ✌
Texas Boot Company in Bastrop is dope, they have good prices especially on their discount boot shelf, got a pair of AB cape buffalo boots for less than 300, just because they were discontinued.
Would you like it stiffer lol. I have been thinking about AB's S3000. The other day I looked at the Ariat Sport Rambler, yeah it has a rubber sole, however it actually fit really well. With it I could do 10.5 and 11D based on thickness of sock. Been waiting for a new video. Keep Orange Crushing It!
Lol, No comment... lmao Hey man a cheap pair of boots that fit and are comfortable to wear are better than an expensive pair. Sorry for the wait man, i have to get better about uploading
I like those boots for their style, I like the suede leather and the flat heel as well as the square toe, before I preferred the pointed toe ones but now for comfort I prefer the others. The only thing is that I'm not a big fan of coloured boots, I prefer a single colour for both the upper and the shaft, but that's just my taste. Otherwise the boots seem to be of very good quality. Greetings from Spain
Nice boots, like you I'm not a big fan of the double stitching but people who comment on the boots usually don't know much about boots and it don't seem to bother them, so I can live with it. For the last couple months I've been working my way through the Tecovas lineup. Hey, everyone is having problems with u-boob, your not the only one. Hang in there.
Dont have a video planned for these yet. They fit great still, i dont wear them much now because I dont like the double stitched welt. Mainly wear hanes socks, idk what they type is, i just buy the big packs and they last me a while
Great Looking Boots!!I agree with you with the double stitching Smack,Great to hear the Pop as you pulled your Boots on,A Good sign of a Well made comfortable pair of Boots,I Like the Boot Shafts A Real pity you don't get to see them as with all Cowboy Boots unless you are sitting down or wearing shorts. You will be wearing these Boots for Many hours then Smack?Your Every day Boots? How many pairs of Boots do you now have & how many have you obtained & purchased this year,We need to see them all together,What Boots do you want for Christmas?
I honestly dont know how many pairs i got now. I probably am not getting another pair until next year. But im trying to find a pair of rattlesnake boots
Nice boots! To me cowboy boots are foremost work boots and as such I really do not mind slightly unsightly finishing. But over the last two years or so I had some defects coming out of that factory (Olathe), both new and refinishing that should have never passed QC. The retailer usually has to step in and make things right. Never had an issue with the Rios products. They are in my No.1 spot w/o anyone coming even close. Be careful if you’re like me and like to kick off your boots by the spur shelves. The plastic ones are great, not so much the leather ones! Take care.
Dude I love AB and they make some amazing elephant boots. I don't have a pair yet but I'd love to get one eventually. What jeans are you wearing in this video? They look great. Also, what jeans do you wear with your Chisos? I've noticed that the jeans I normally wear tend to bucket around the shaft and I don't like the look but I also don't want to wear super loose pants.
Look up d and d outfitters in seguin, TX. They have a very similar pair. I bought a pair from them just a few months ago. They are cutter toe with the underslung leather stack heal and they are great boots. Best pair of Anderson beans I have ever had. But make sure you look up the store that’s in seguin because there’s another d and d in some other state that’s different.
i lost count, i think around like 12 pairs. I am going to try my best to get at least one Christmas themed video out. maybe even another winter beer review. Maybe one more serious video, who knows. lets see if I don't procrastinate lol
On a side note, thank you for being a man and wearing long white socks. If I see one more “man” sliding black no show socks in to a pair of boots I’m gonna scream.
Regarding the double welt stitch - The Anderson Bean boot you are reviewing is actually a Texas Boot Company Exclusive, meaning they designed every element of that boot and elected to have it made with a double welt stitch as opposed to a more traditional single welt stitch on a cutter toe. If you look at any other cutter toe set styles within the Rios of Mercedes family of brands, you will only find single welt stitch boots. Cheers.
I love boots, But hate trying to find a good comfortable pair of boots. Unlike dress shoes or casual shoes- Which you can walk around in for a few minutes & knowing with some level of assurance that they will be comfortable for every day wear. But boots are completely different, especially when you are talking about a pair of boots that’s $600-$800 or more. I’ve also read another review that said the quality & finish was not up to the price tag, Other also used the same word you used- a bit sloppy workmanship. But boots you can spend several hundred & wear them for 4-6 months waiting for them to get comfortable & finally realize they suck. This is the reason- I have a half dozen boots, but haven’t had a real comfortable pair in years. Lastly I wouldn’t buy an elephant 🐘 boot, as they are endangered, Beautiful creatures. Makes no matter, Never heard of Anderson Bean boots & don’t believe any stores in Georgia carry them, And can’t afford $750 or even $550 for a pair of boots, especially ones with sloppy craftsmanship.
