    What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?
    ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
    My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to provide anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, serve as a study aid and much more.

    It's interesting that you mention being "drawn" to the book, and Carl Jung in general. I've felt the same lately, and there's some kind of haunting draw to this book that I can't describe. The subject matter is so abstract and intellectual, and there's something almost spiritually attractive about it, to people who crave knowledge. I've felt this way for quite some time, and have found myself just obsessed with the book and the ideas in it.
    It's just... Interesting, I guess.

      I've heard so many people say this sort of thing--and that people become almost.. disturbed in a way when reading it.
      There must be some kind of strange spell on it or something, cause so many people have said this.

    I love having someone read to me like this. It's very comforting and relaxing. Carl Jung was an absolute genius in so many ways. I really enjoyed going through the "Red Book" with you. You really seem to have a deep appreciation for Carl Jung's work. I am inspired to revisit it myself. I love his book "Man and His Symbols". I highly recommend that for you especially since you derive so much from his symbolism. Everything he wrote was a work of art. In that sense you and him are very similar because these videos are a work of art in their own right.

      Andrew Vernon Always great to hear from folks who can appreciate Jung's works. I definitely want to pickup that book someday, but I still need to get through the Red one first! ;) And I agree, he may not have seen himself as an artist but he sure acted like one. And thanks for the kind words.

    This video is literally perfect, for me mostly because of the fact that it’s exclusively whispered. Most videos even on ER channel when reading he crosses over to his reading voice which for some reason really rubs me the wrong way when in asmr (although his voice is beautiful). If anyone can recommend any other asmr videos of reading which are only whispered I would be so grateful ❤️

    Bill W called Jung a trifounder of AA.
    Though he wasn't alcoholic he knew exactly what the sickness was , he knew what the solution was , he could not effect the treatment because he didn't know how to trigger it, he didn't know how to produce a spiritual awakening.
    He was a genius who showed AA the way, without a doubt.

    Occult psychology :-). I'm into Carl Jung too but I haven't researched deeper on him yet however I'm into occult symbolism and esotericism. I'm also into Gnosticism and hermeticism. And I love symbology. Probably shouldn't have mentioned the occult because some people are turned off about it and get the wrong idea about it but anyways I really like your asmr work. Keep it up :-)

    • @easilydistracted5192
      @easilydistracted5192 4 роки тому +1

      The occult is the most important thing to mention, because it speaks of the breach between imagination and what is perceived to be real. Those who are turned off by the idea are indoctrinated until they tear themselves free. No euphemism can help with that. Unlike them, we speak clearly.

    Why are we whispering? As a young man I read the Collected Works and was intrigued and for a while a devotee. Like Crowley, Jung had endured an aggressively Christian childhood and both spent the rest of their lives trying to get out from under by inventing their own various religions. Their era was a time of following leaders so they fit right in. In the aftermath of 'leader worship' - WWll - people were not quite as disposed to follow them.
    A lot of Jung's images are redolent of Frida Harris' work for Crowley's Thoth Deck - an amazing achievement by any standards. In the sixties and seventies I was a professional artist working on large scale public and private commissions during which time I came across a number of top end graphic artists. With a little imagination I think Jung might have made it as an illustrator of children's books

    he wrote somewhere that, if your soul is so sick that you read in the newspapers about wars and other bad stuff its time to get your inner healing process going.

    Special butterfly syndrom. People like Jung are mostly guys with an anxiety problem. They think that their thoughts are leading them to a deeper truth, but in the end they just run in circles. Most people can stop the search because they don't feel this hole in their soul. Meaning in life comes from the mind, but sometimes the mind doesn't know when to stop, and people will see meaning everywhere. It's ok to search for some deeper truth in life, but at some point people also have to accept reality, which is often much simpler. It's no accident that in Buddhism the search for meaning and the search for relaxation are so closely related.
    Jung und Freud waren beides einfach nur merkwürdige Leute, die sich für was besseres gehalten haben. Ich bin auch nicht sicher, ob ich für die heutige Form der psychologischen Behandlung dankbar bin, welche auf den Werken der beiden begründen.

      It doesn't matter if there is a truth. The universe itself is true/truth, but there is still no meaning to it. I have no problem with people making a living hell out of their lives by making it an endless search, but someone should point out their mistake, so that some can at least find some peace.

    • @WiredRoot
      @WiredRoot 10 років тому

      *****
      Naive platitudes... It's hard to be called naive when you say something which came from your original flow of thoughts, but people will always take their own view for some higher truth. You can say the same for me, but as I wanted to point out, it doesn't matter. You can find as many truths as you want, but in the end the only useful product that will come from it is an illusion which helps to ignore the ultimate meaninglessness of death. It's as laughable as the "truth" that the brain itself sees it's existence as something special.

    • @WiredRoot
      @WiredRoot 10 років тому

      ***** Are you joking? You should really read your own comments. I suggest that you at least don't criticize people for something, when you do exactly that of which you criticize them in your own comment. Besides... naivity is what you're showing to me in this case, because you cling to a subjetiv meaning. You're unable to accept reality, so you substitute your own. I'll stop the discussion at this point, because I get the feeling to be "trolled".

      ***** If you're really not joking then you simply don't get the difference between the truth of reality and the subjectiv meaning given to these truth. The universe exists in a real state which is not controlled by our perception of it. The real arrogance stems from your opinion that your subjectiv truth is more important then the truth of reality.... which is in the end a good explaination for why most people run in circles without arriving at any truth at all.

      I found this whole intellectual argument amusing. You're both proposing different notions and failing to properly comprehend what each other is saying. So yeah, in your replies to one another you both miss the point of each other's arguments.

    Ok...I know very little etc of Jung, having studied Social Science up to 2nd year Uni, little work in a psyche out patient clinic voluntarily sure you get the picture. Upon reading what is ASMR on Wiki I keep getting the sensations described, be it from knowing this or coincidence i happen to read on something special then experience it, who really knows , I understand but how amazing. Or is it the q's and triggers etc i have had to stop the video as its too much and was going to happen any way? I am a sensitive person everyone from psychiatrists to psychotherapists from friends to enemy's even tell me this. Dunno why I listened to a Introduction to Carl Jung [ ASMR ] prior that led me here but I have with interest - though found the whispering frustrating on this video i had to look up ASMR to see if there was an link. I think I am going to take my time going through this video, with all due respect and return when I wish to understand more on The Red Book, thank you for sharing Ephemeral Rift. Angus Aberdeen.

    Not trying to be a Smart Ass here but the first page in Liber Primus is actually written in latin! Everything that follows is German. :) Just a minor thing though. Love your videos ER keep it up :D

    It's just unbelievable how ignorant this comment section is. Like the title is so hard to understand, bitch please, [ASMR]. See? It's even highligted as such a video. My god.
