    Wow great mod! It seems that it actually makes you fire quicker, hope you sell this trigger package in the close future 👍🏻

      I'm glad you liked it! I'm trying to get the design up on shapeways so anyone can get them made, however shapeways isn't letting me make the holder available :(

      If you're wanting to do this mod I've added links to shapeways, a site where you can get the parts 3d printed and delivered to you! The page linked will be one of the parts required and the description of it has links to the other part and also to the microswitches I have used!

    Nice mod, and love the way you setup the camera! If you just added “realistic trigger pull mod”, it would help viewers to better understand what the video is about. Like this title (Realistic trigger pull mod for the airsoft G&G L85) and you don’t need the keyword airsoft.

      That's a fair point! I'm still trying to figure out the whole titleing/thumbnailing process so any feedback is greatly appreciated :D

    Definitely interested in seeing what you make of the control unit in the future. I'm desperately in need of a fix for the semi lockup issue that isn't just throwing a bigger battery at the gun until my stock trigger explodes.
    Think I might try this mod in the mean time though.

    • @EnglishKiwi

      Lockup can be fixed with a MOSFET and a 11.1 lipo. Honestly for the £20 it'll cost it's well worth it 😀

    Nice mod. Unfortunately, I can't see it fitting in AR or AK type receivers.
    Must be great having a 3D printer!
    P.S. do you use the pre-cocking on your Gate mosfet?
    Have on on a G&G MP5 set to pre-cock mode and 3 round burst on auto. Works great!

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  4 роки тому +1

      Cheers Pal, yeah I don't think it will, but I'm there's a mod that can be done to those platforms as well! 3D printers are great for experimenting and coming up with new ways to do things :D
      My mosfet is the Merf 3.2 so doesn't have a configurable pre-cock but does have a burst feature, though I usually just have it set to semi and full auto :D

      @@EnglishKiwi The pre-cocking is great. Pulling the trigger and instantly releasing the piston to fire a shot certainly makes an aeg feel 'closer' to the real thing.
      I only use 7.4 lipos with pre-coking, it's all you need. I use an 11.1 to de-cock when I'm finished.
      I have several aeg's with Ameoba gear boxes in them, all set to pre-cocking with the magnet mod (a great and simple mod if you're not familiar with it).
      The only non pre-cocking aeg that I have has SHS 12:1 gears and an SHS high torque motor. Virtually instant response even with just a 7.4 ... but not quite pre-cocking level.
      Get your creative brain working on a viable 'real trigger' mod for AR/AK type platforms.
      I'd certainly be interested!

    Hi Kiwi, a quick question, what length air nozzle are you using in your L85? I’ve measured mine as 21.65 but no aftermarket ones exist in that length and I’d like a decent O-ring one for consistency’s sake. Any recommendations?

    Hi
    You sooo should make a version for the ICS to get rid of there nasty trigger unit that is way over engineered

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  4 роки тому +1

      Funnily enough, I've been thinking about doing that! Once my ICS is back in my hands I'll think about doing that!

    Does your G&G not have a little metal piece screwed into gearbox, where the trigger actuator slides back and forwards?
    I haven't seen it on any of the g&g I have worked on, I presumed it was because they were all second hand - maybe been removed and lost.
    But the last one I worked on was brand new out box in 2016. It didn't have it either, but my AA has it.
    It basically adds a bit of "break" feel to the trigger.
    Do you have any idea what I am talking about, or have I been drinking too much again and imagining it

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  5 років тому +1

      I've not seen anything like that... The only thing I can think off is the breaking bar that connects to short out the motor. Any chance you can take a pic of what your referencing? It'd be cool to see what AA have done :)

    any update on the L85 Hopup unit?

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  5 років тому +1

      at present I'm still trying to figure out the best way of distributing it. I think at present I'll be ordering the body and adjustment dial in and printing the nub and ring in house. I'm gonna be ordering a few bits in over the next few weeks and hopefully sending s few units out to others to test and give feedback on.
      So short answer, it's still being worked on and I will be looking to release it in the near future! :D

    so this replaces the OEM trigger contacts? my plan is to use this in tandem with a mosfet to get better performance out of the L85

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  2 роки тому

      not exactly, It adds the feel of a real trigger, though doesn't replace the original contacts. If you use this instead of the original contacts you'll loose your single shot functionality.

      @@EnglishKiwi so I did this anyway lol and using a burst wizard 3 I was able to set it to 1 round burst and semi lock it but still can switch to full auto or 3 round burst on the fly
