Three rare miniature cuckoo clocks with similar brass triple plate movements. All have the time in front of the chime train separated by a center plate (instead of the common way with the time and chime beside each other within a single pair of plates) . These are all very small and have special whistles with the low tone having a 90 degree bend at the bottom of the case and going slightly forward to make the different tone.

I had 5 once for crying out loud. It’s a thing.
These are full functioning miniatures. The time train is separated from the chime train by a center plate instead of being beside each other.The pattern of holes for the chains at the bottom is a square rather than a straight line. The weights for that one are only 200 grams, but they usually only run on tiny 150 gram weights. It runs on a little more because it actually has a bird post. A lot of these have a bird that tilts up on a hinge by a wire while chiming.

I Love them. They are great. Everyone should have one or better a few of them.
Tiny movements = tiny governors plus tiny cases = tiny bellows = fast, high pitched chimes. It's the way they are made, and the way they are supposed to sound.
A tuba doesn't sound like a trumpet.
These can be rebellowed, but it's extremely difficult just because of their size. Not all of them have the whistle tubes held in with screws, either. Some are glued, and have to be gently pried off. The front of the clock has to be removed just to take the movement out. It's not easy, but I could help you through it if you want some directions. Most professional clock repairers won't touch these.
The scale of these is very good. The shorter pendulum must cause the faster gong and kuku. Love it! 👍Hope to have a mini myself some day.

Most of them are right at 4 3/4" from the top center of the case, measured from the back, not counting the carvings. The carvings don't add much more to the size.

You need to lift the hammer a little for the first clock.
The hammer arms are so short and light that there is very little gap tolerance. Temperature changes will effect how the gongs are struck, even.

I've never seen a brass triple plate cuckoo. I've only seen them with wooden plates. I'd love to see a video of the insides of one.

The bellows in my clock are glued in. The material appears to be a type of canvas..? I am going to tackle this during the winter. Any insight will be appreciated! Thanks!

I have one allmost exactly like the one on the left, it was my dad's. The whistle bellows have got bad, so it just kinda goes "kook" now... lol

All three of these clock make the cuckoo call far too fast. They sound like clocks from a cartoon.
That's correct.partly because the weight come should be 275 gram not heavier
@@bigmuller1 a 275 gram weight would destroy these. They run on 150-200 gram weights. None of these are running on anything near 275 grams.

You might find a similar design in a larger cuckoo easier. Only seen two of that design in many years of this type.

They used to go for the opening bids most of the time before I put up this video. Do the clocks you have have the chains come out of the bottom of the case in a straight line or square pattern?
These are miniatures, and the cases are less than 5 inches tall, measured from the back.
I have that one with the green leaves the exact one!

Takes up less space. They are touchy little timepieces. They are made to be as small as possible and running well easily is not something they do.

how to slow down the ring?
The only way to make them chime slower is to get a larger clock. The governor "fly" to regulate the speed of the chime is a very small flat fan. Full sized cuckoo clocks have larger governors, so they chime slower. Some larger clocks have a metal tab that the governor fly can be moved closer or further from the gear to regulate speed a little, but these don't.
The middle's cuckoo sings SOL-FA, not SOL-MI; it isn't in tune...
Seriously? They're smaller than a man's hand, are fully mechanical, and they work.

The bellows may have already been replaced, and the wood on the whistle tube warped or cracked enough to no longer make sound on one side. I'll ask you for some pictures. Expect a message from me.

Play it at 0.5 speed to make it regular speed if you think it's "2x speed". You'll notice the pendulums move ridiculously slow if the video is slowed down. These clocks are tiny. The chime trains have governors that are a little smaller than the metal part of a pencil that holds on the eraser. The video is at 100% normal speed.
