So as of today, 31/07/2021, this video has reached 1 million views, a milestone I thought I would never reach in 10 years or something, it can take that long to even get up to only 100,000 or even 100 times less views. Although this year has been f*cking atrocious for me, I am grateful that so many people took the time to view my collection. 15 years old I am, and now I have 35 cuckoo clocks. Back when I took this video I was 12 and had 12 cuckoo clocks but at the time this was recorded, only 11 were in the collection. The 12th one was wrecked during transit from the United States and was sent to Mark Leach(Clock restorer in Wrotham) as a result, with restoration completed after September 2018. My last clock collection video was recorded on November 20, 2018. You can view it here, with a recording of Big Ben chiming on Remembrance Sunday: ua-cam.com/video/QATdEcXk0i0/v-deo.html The wrecked 12th clock is included. As of now I have pretty much not made any clock collection videos since Early 2021. My 16th cuckoo clock's music box has been damaged since June 2019 and it will be very expensive to repair. Once it gets repaired, a new clock collection video will be released. If it DOES get repaired, that is. My current cameras are broken also. I do have a better camera, but I spare that one only for tourism or filming Ropeways(Ski Lifts) in Europe. (mainly the old Pre-2000 ones because the modern Doppelmayr/Poma/Leitner ones are shit) Besides all that, I'm honoured that my collection has been viewed by so many people. It is possible that there may be new clocks added to the collection in the future, and you can see some of my later acquisitions on my Community tab posts of last year. Thank you all! -Charlie (CBF1)

Oh in my former bedroom I last had around 25 tick tocking in there. It was a whole symphony of tick tock. Any clocks that have no disable chime switches I remove the weights from simply. However I do have to put the weight back on those that don't have a rack mechanism at the exact time in which I removed it otherwise the chiming gets out of synchronization with the hands.
I love all of your clocks!! Thank you for sharing them with all of us. I could watch and listen to them all day!!! Each is very unique and fun!! Thank you again for sharing!! Maybe someday I will own one!!!🙂❤🌻⚘🌷

When I recieved that clock it's chains came off the ratchets and I decided to take the mechanism out to put the chains back on again. While putting it back in the clock I punctured the bellows. They push air through the flute pipes that make the cuckoo sound. When the bellows are punctured they either have to be re-leathered, re-papered(old bellows use leather, new ones use a special type of flexible paper), or replaced entirely. The flutes can obviously be used again of course. That clock is a 1930's Gebruder Kuner musical cuckoo clock, all original except 1 hook(it was like that when I got it), the pendulum hanger(I somehow lost that and never found it again while building my own cuckoo clock) and a pin that holds one of the music mechanism's parts on. I'm so angry that I lost those parts. Not the hook though as that was already replaced when I got it, but the pendulum hanger and that other pin, yes... Still over 90% original though, in very good shape. Music ratchet broke in 2020, clock mechanism removed again... ultimately turned into a pile of parts in 2021 but reassembled shortly after due to a house move. I used the pendulum hanger to show my woodworker what the pendulums sit on and that's pretty much how I lost THAT part and oh good lord I'm so furious...
Yeah, watched Pinnochio ages ago lol Cuckoo clock collections are partially an In-Real-Life Pinnochio. My collections much bigger now, more than twice as big as it was in this video... Nearly 3 times as big, actually.
Why does the first cuckoo click strikes 20 times? And why strike that cuckoo twice? Like first 20 times then a little music melody and then again cuckoo.
I learned a trick with that one on how to make it cuckoo a little more. It only works with Regula mechanisms(ALL new cuckoo clocks have Regula mechanisms). And I preferred to have one tune play on the half and the other on the full hour, so...
Got a new cuckoo clock today. But I won't upload a video of my collection until one of my cuckoo clocks that has been un-operational for over a year is repaired. More cuckoo clocks hopefully are to enter my collection soon...
Yes, my ex bedroom did go "coo coo" for around 4 years or so. Sadly however, my collection went into storage in September last year thanks to a house move.
I know a trick on how to make it do that. Only works on Regula(or Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co) cuckoo clock mechanisms however of which that clock has. Every new cuckoo clock except for Hubert Herr cuckoo clocks have Regula mechanisms.
Question: The chalet style clock to the right of the bright pink one... Can you tell me about it? Brand, etc. It reminds me of the one we had growing up. I don't know if this room of clocks would be a dream or a nightmare for me to live with every day. I'm deciding between a Hönse and a Schneider for my first and (sadly) probably only one. I am still trying to figure out if the noise and/or music would get old. I'm guessing I know how you feel about it. :D Thanks for the post!
I'm very late to reply to your comment here(1 year late) but it's an old swiss chalet by Loetscher in Switzerland dating to the 1980's/1990's/early 2000's. Model is quite rare and I do not know the model number nor am I sure if they are still producing it. They ARE still producing their Classic Brienz Chalet model also in my collection, see my brienz chalet clock at 0:23. Mine is a much older model dating from the 1970's and my italian uncle had it for many years. Chains came off the ratchets in 2012 and it lost it's original hooks. I put the chains back on and added new paperclips to it for hooks(as the weights are very light, only 200 grams). It broke down again in 2019 and it was fixed. It ran perfectly again from then until it and all other clocks except 4 in my collection were packed up due to a house move and they are sitting in a many century-old barn at a friend of ours's house. Schneider and Hones do make good clocks, I usually prefer the more unusual Schneider clocks like the SC455/9. I own an SC92/9 from Schneider. It's seen at 0:08. I originally had another SC92/9 in 2011 but the cuckoo flutes deepened in tone and being a stubborn little kid back then at only 6 years old I stupidly got upset over it. Eventually something else broke with it and that clock was disposed of as a result, replaced by a Hones 600/2ENU musical cuckoo clock which's ratchet broke in 2013 and also got thrown to the scrap heap. I also have a replacement to that clock too, seen at 0:27. All replacement clocks I've had since 2017. None of the Loetscher clocks are replacements. The one that you were curious about next to the pink one was bought in 2017 as a replacement to my italian uncle's clock(the 1970s brienz chalet one) until I discovered his clock in my younger grandfather's home office and that clock has been in my collection ever since, brought back from abandonment for 7 years. Hones make brilliant clocks too ESPECIALLY their largest ones as those use proper shifting cylinder music box mechanisms like in an antique music box: The cylinder does a complete rotation for 1 tune and then shifts sideways to play the 2nd tune, this is allowed by spacing between the comb teeth that allows the set of pins for whichever tune it's playing to pluck the comb and the set of pins for the tune it's not playing to go through the gaps between the comb teeth. I may do a detailed video in te future about this. If you've got a couple of thousand quid lying in your bank, definetely go for one of the enormous Hones clocks. But if you don't, buy whatever appeals to you that you can afford. :) I'd be more than happy to own at least 1 or 2 large Hones clocks, along with Rombach & Haas's Grand Collectors cuckoo clock, 5 feet tall and costs £9000... but I mainly want that one because the music box in it is absolutely glorious.
What's the issue with it, also to disappoint you here I am not a clock specialist, I can tell with what might be wrong with some cuckoo clocks but I don't have the tools for repairing clocks
I accidentally punctured one bellow while putting the mechanism back in it, as it's chains came off during transit. Not very difficult to fix honestly, and one doesn't even have to take the mechanism apart at all. So it's never cuckooed for all the time I had it, and it was the original leather that I punctured. Re-leathering necessary, or replacement of the leather with paper like in today's cuckoo clocks. Functioning principles are the same though, whether the bellows use leather or paper.
today, Jan. 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM (EST) The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists will announce the new setting on their "Doomsday Clock" (currently set to one hundred seconds to midnight). I thought this video appropriate for commentary on the folly of the nuclear arms race.
Yes I certainly do love my clocks and miss them deeply. Moving house has been a horrible part of my life and I miss my old lifestyle and now all I have are my Widdop & Bingham quartz cuckoo, working, and 3 broken clocks that can't be boxed up including the big Kuner cuckoo at the end of this video. I'd honestly much rather be back in the past right now. It needs to be changed for my sake even though changing the past isn't possible at all.

I used the pendulum hanger to show my woodworker what the pendulums sit on and that's pretty much how I lost THAT part and oh good lord I'm so furious...
thank you i was wondering about that
Does this remind anyone else of that scene in Pinocchio?
Yeah, watched Pinnochio ages ago lol
Cuckoo clock collections are partially an In-Real-Life Pinnochio.
My collections much bigger now, more than twice as big as it was in this video... Nearly 3 times as big, actually.

At 0:04 I love the Cuckoo clock. What the brand is it?
Did anyone just notice that the first cuckoo clock just strike for 20 times?
I made it that way, I knew a trick that would make it cuckoo longer. Only works on a certain mechanism type however, of which that clock has.
Ae mano legal muito bom🙂
Why does the first cuckoo click strikes 20 times?
And why strike that cuckoo twice?
Like first 20 times then a little music melody and then again cuckoo.
I learned a trick with that one on how to make it cuckoo a little more. It only works with Regula mechanisms(ALL new cuckoo clocks have Regula mechanisms). And I preferred to have one tune play on the half and the other on the full hour, so...
I'm confused why all number IV turn into IIII.
Why did it happen to the number 4
super collection

I love all your cuckoo clock collection am collecting mantle clock I fix them up for a hobby
Got a new cuckoo clock today. But I won't upload a video of my collection until one of my cuckoo clocks that has been un-operational for over a year is repaired.
More cuckoo clocks hopefully are to enter my collection soon...
👍 nice one

Yes, my ex bedroom did go "coo coo" for around 4 years or so. Sadly however, my collection went into storage in September last year thanks to a house move.

How come the first clock that went off went off twice and went off like 20 times at first strike
Because I turned the hand backwards than up to the full hour again, and I know a trick to keep the clock cuckooing. Too lazy to explain tho
I want that chaos in my room btw I have one working one one miniature
2:43 the pink cuckoo clock’s door is still open with no noise
I know, it's motor's cheaply made and it doesn't close properly.
1:00 Cuckoo Bird and bell are calling and striking 20 times
I know a trick on how to make it do that. Only works on Regula(or Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co) cuckoo clock mechanisms however of which that clock has. Every new cuckoo clock except for Hubert Herr cuckoo clocks have Regula mechanisms.
@CBF1 Thank you!

Hi my clock will not cuckoo,I change the batter,
no idea how to fix that
Question: The chalet style clock to the right of the bright pink one...
I'd be more than happy to own at least 1 or 2 large Hones clocks, along with Rombach & Haas's Grand Collectors cuckoo clock, 5 feet tall and costs £9000... but I mainly want that one because the music box in it is absolutely glorious.

Oh fine yes that will work good choice

Sir I belong a 3 weight driven black wood cuckoo clock needs repair. Would you kindly help me. No expert service man available in CALCUTTA, India.
What's the issue with it, also to disappoint you here I am not a clock specialist, I can tell with what might be wrong with some cuckoo clocks but I don't have the tools for repairing clocks
@@CBF1, Excuse me, sir ! I admit my mistake.
Meh, I'm OK with it, everyone makes mistakes after all

2:43 a pink cuckoo clock has still popping out without noise.
battery was weak so it couldn't shut properly
Tiiiiiiiime time just floats by🎶🎶 (time by asteroid 😎🦾)
2:54 my cuckoo clock is broken.
That's awesome
CBF1 U ARE THE BEST
Wait a minute.
Finlay, is that you?!
You have eleven cuckoo clocks in this video.
12th one was undergoing repairs at the time. It's as good as new now.
