@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Hi Simon, thanks for the reply :) I was thinking if you can give us some tips on how to improve accuracy and consistency of the shots. Also, a good topic might be what type of injuries you can experience and how to prevent them. I have badly sprained my ankle 5 years ago. It's all good now, by my left ankle will have only 2 good ligaments for the rest of my life. Greetings from Oakville, Canada.
WOW what a video quality guys, the audio, graphics, images all the things incredible, congratulations for the work you’ve been doing, appreciate a lot 🎾👏🏻
Thanks guys, I am coaching a high school group and I use these tactics quite a lot. Mostly just the way you explain it helps me too put my thoughts into words that are easy to understand and follow.
Wow! The video editing improved..and the sound is perfect. Thanks ! Not that i don't like hearing the wind blowing in the mic ;) but here it's professionnal quality! The video and sound finally reach the same level as the tennis strokes and advices.
Great video! Really polish production. Highlights excellent content. During the return section, I did a quick search to see if you guys do a *return tactics* lesson. Your return lessons are tremendous. A return tactics video would be a welcome complement. Thanks again Simon and Alex!
So nice to see the improvements in editing and cutting of your videos. The content has always been amazing. You guys do some great work and (as a coach) it's so appreciable and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledges of the game!
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Oh yes! I see many players and even myself struggling sometimes with releasing there arms on the forehand, hitting it with the arm too much bent. I know that the more in front of the body you hit the ball the better control and speed you generate. Any good advises on how to put that in practice? Thanks a lot!
Hi Guys, Great lesson. In the states, the USTA and PTR have a lesson sequence called green light, yellow light, red light - the court divided into 3 segments from baseline to net (in order stated). Green light area - baseline to 2-3 ft. into court (attack area); yellow light area (get out of this area either back or preferably go into the red area (1/2 way from service line to net) - that's your kill area. I'll use this in my games + with my students. JS
This was such an insightful lesson, definitely made me alter my perception on serving ( I struggle with it - I'm more stressed that the ball lands in the kill-zone edge). Thank you again coach! Looking forward to the next one 😊
Can you suggest a vid or do a video on how I can challenge myself to be more aggressive. I tend to play quite safe, and would like to begin to hit more aggressive shots, Thanks for all your wonderful videos.
Great video! Can you guys make a video about hitting the sweet spot consistently and on how to stop hitting the ball long? I use a straight arm fh btw.
Your videos are really good man, they really make me learn a lot. One question: where are you playing and filming this videos? I'm from Spain, so I usually play in hard courts and sometimes in clay. I would like to play in a grass court like yours to feel the experience.
Thank you for watching I would assume it reduces power slightly since you stop the string bed moving as much, but I think it would be minimal. You'll decrease mainly the feel of the ball with a dampener, that's why most pros don't use them
Great video guys- just one question regarding the drill. What's the best way to feed a ball from the baseline that will force my player to defend? Move them to the deep corner? High and deep topspin feed?
Thanks for watching Rui You could feed heavy topspin with high net clearance, flat and low balls, off the ground feeds, short then deep to push them back. Many different ways All the best Simon
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Hi Simon, as a club level player, I really want to improve my doubles. Can you cover more advanced doubles strategies? like use of I-formation, when to poach, switch, double net etc?

Top Tennis Training - Pro Tennis Lessons Well Simon , I have got a big serve , generate a lot of pace on my own , I’m pretty much a serve and volley player ( rare breed these days 🤓) ..but I have been having arm issues on and off only during play and interesting no pain while not playing ..so not sure if there is anything wrong I’m doing on the court ..that’s frustrating me big time and these days because on the court when pain creeps in , I can’t serve/hit to my potential anymore and mentally I switch off ..badly looking out for the right Racquet spec which will not allow me to compromise on my playing style inspite of my arm issues ..just not able to figure ..I end up using a Racquet (305gm strung ) for serve game and 325gm for receiving ..so I switch racquets between games 🤦🏻♂️..which is kinda helping but still ..not sure for arm issues should I keep the racquet weight high or low ..
Awesome video. One thing that struck me was the net clearance. I was expecting something lower on grass. Is it because of the educational nature of the video (to slow down the rallies) or is it representative of a real game at that kind of level you guys play?
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial thank you for the reply. So one can assume the net clearance shown in the video is one we could typically expect from players your level on grass during a competitive match?
The height will change depending on the situation, if you're attacking and inside the court, you tend to hit lower with less spin, when defending you tend to hit higher with higher levels of topspin, when in a neutral position you can do either option
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Yes. I would love to see the serve for those who can not bend the knees much. Concentrating on the swing path starting from the trophy position all the way to contact point. In particular, the relationship between these components: - the racket drop - coil/uncoil - elbow - racquet up - pronation - ball contact - etc. Thanks much.
The feed for the defensive zone has to be aggressive, deep, heavy spin etc Then for the attack, the feed has to be just inside the court but not too short
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial just use a tripod please and never fall into using such cheap "special effects" for goodness sake. It doesn't matter how fancy you're dressed in tennis.
