I’m so glad that I wasn’t afraid to say that I enjoyed this movie when it first came out despite people looking at me like I was crazy. Essentially two gods fighting on earth would cause massive destruction and the destruction of you watch the movie enough, isn’t as insane as you think it is the first time you watch it. I loved this movie!
I appreciate the fact that they made Jor-El’s character a Scientist, Badass Hand-to-hand combat Dad... And I’m a little bit surprised that not enough ppl ever commented on the fact the Jor-El beat Krypton’s Top General and one of it Strongest Warriors... with a two to three piece, no biscuit combo, with well placed knee strikes lol
I like to think that Zor-El being able to whip Zod's ass was all because he had something worth protecting while Zod was clinging to an empty idea or planet in this case.
Left out my favorite exchange in the movie between Jor El's consciousness projection and Zod: "Zod you're talking about a genocide!" "Yes, and I'm arguing its merits with a ghost." Great video aside from that little detail! I'm a sucker for well-produced reactions, and this channel definitely doesn't skimp on producing quality content 👍
The DCU was setting up for something awesome. No idea why anyone rejected it. They nailed Superman and Batman in the DCU. Ben Affleck is my favourite Batman.
Because some idiot bloggers forced WB to make MCU-like movies. WB listened to them more than the fans to save face in front of the media. DC fans could have something different, distictive, & special, but WB just listened to the wrong crowds.
Christopher Meloni's character in this (albeit a small role) was phenomenal. The true courage of a soldier (Marine or otherwise), is knowing the true meaning of fear and that you might not be the best fighter in the fight, but you engage anyway. Love it!! I'm a veteran, so maybe I'm a bit biased. hahaha
@@ItsAPrimatee its crazy dude how everyone shiit on this movie and said it was dog shit because critics was nitpicking everything. I was like this was a good orgin story for superman.
The boy just called the LEGENDARY Lawrence fishbourne “Homeboy from John wick”. I’m DEAD. He gotta be 5 hrs old 😭😭🤦🏽♂️. Thats MORPHIUS MR IKE TURNER HIMSELF LOL
That scream of anguish from Superman after snapping Zod's neck and killing him I believe that is from superman's moral code not to kill anyone (on purpose). He was left with no choice. That kissing scene with Amy Adams near the end was about as intense as some of those fight scenes.
I'm kinda sad you skipped over Clark's reaction to having killed Zod in the video. Especially since his reaction immediately would've followed your view on the situation.
You know, the suit Superman is wearing is actually Kryptonian equivalent of a shirt or t-shirt for humans. Notice Jor-El's AI opened his coat to show Clark the House of El insignia? It's like someone opening their coat or jacket to show you the shirt/t-shirt they're wearing.
This Clark Kent became Superman just days before fighting zod how can he know the full extent of his powers and he is also a bit young and learning I don't blame him
People like u is probably why someone like Superman would be who he is in those films....do something good and freak out on all other stuffs and miss out the really important thing
I loved this movie and cast. The only nit pick is the end battle was nuts. They legit destroyed the entire city and killed a ton of innocent people. Way over the top.
Man your enthusiasm during the battles is great, I come back now and then to these reactions because not often I meet people who also love those scenes. Speaking of which, while the movie may not be the best according to majority, I really love it, I think the greatest contribution of this movie to the hero genre are those fights between the Kryptonians, they are definitely in my top 1 superhero battles because of how op both sides are. They punches, the speed etc. and movie producers really did those scenes well, you can feel the speed and force of it all. So good man, so good Edit. The punches*
Zack snyder didn't just give people another "show up, do good and leave" superman, he gave us an entire look into the mind and human-like struggles of clark and how he ultimately came to terms with them. I honestly don't understand how anyone could possibly dislike this movie.
Technically you can see Superman breaking Zod's neck as a losing situation because maybe Superman wanted Zod to live, but Zod played with Superman's emotions towards the humans
Glad you enjoyed this movie man Personally this film made me a fan of Superman! Don’t know if you wanna continue with the DC movies but if you do I’d wait until next year to watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League, it’s gonna be more of a continuation of the story from this movie and Batman V Superman compared to what we got in 2017. Though I definitely recommend Wonder Woman and Aquaman too
I’m super late, but glad you’re giving this a chance and have been enjoying it. The people that are super divisive (whether Marvel or DC Uber stans) don’t seem to understand that comic book fans are just loving all the content. It’s all a mish mash of foolishness on both sides because, heaven forbid, you actually just like comic books coming to life and aren’t focused on “choosing a side” like a dumb dumb.
I like this movie. I understand that superman is a completely different character than the actual superman. I understand that the ending battle is a way over the top with the destruction. I understand that the cgi is kind of not good. I dont care. I still like this movie.
don't get what you mean by "the actual superman" because there are many different versions/adaptations in the comics etc. Also don't think the destruction was over the top but I agree with the rest.
Bro wtf why do I keep seeing people saying that the vfx are not good. They're fantastic what do you mean? Are you watching it on DVD on a 32" screen or something?
@@user-gi6sn6cv9z that's the point. You have two "gods" making the earth their fighting ring. You will end up with wide scale destruction, and that’s no laughing matter
during the School Bus scene... that kid calls him "Dicksplash" and the bus blows a tire, falls into the river, and Clark pushes the bus out, but noticed that the kid who called him that name wasn't in the bus. So he dove back into the water, and grabbed that guy and pulled him back up to the surface. He should've looked him right in the eye and said, "That's MR. Splash, to you, sir."
The fact that kal el said”Krypton had its chance”.shows that krypton had plenty of time and options to save their planet, but politics and power ruined it, plus he consider earth as his “home” because he was raised there and history of krypton.
Just recently re watched MoS again , feels bit different now lol. Because after watching Snyder cut, I cannot imagine that all this time General Calvin is Martian man hunter. He did pretty well in hiding himself in human form. Martian man hunter is very strong , man I would love to see him in action he would kick some ass. Hope Snyder universe is not dead but continue to live on
That arguement was resolved before his dad died. He called him dad at the end. And zod is as strong as Clark..they have the same physical nature as Clark
It was hilarious when you saw Laurence Fishburne in your first thought was John Wick. It's only because I'm old but, when I see him I think of the move Higher Learning. F****** time moves way too fast.
General Zod's the real hero of this film imo. He fought for his people even if it made him look crazy. He set his eyes to the reconstruction of his nation that had fallen while everybody else stood by and did nothing: or like Jor-el only chose to save his child. With his memories of their traditions and customs and culture he sought to have a Kyrptonian Renaissance. Except he was stopped by a confused and assimilated Kal-El who is ignorant of his people and sees his people as enemies. Jor-el was in agreement with Zod on the state of their people. They just disagreed on the way they should go about it. I think once Jor-el saw his child he was more worried about his child than the entire race of his people which is understandable but in comparison to Zod, his is honorable. From there I think even his A.I was more worried about his child than his people.
I wish Clark would've said 'hit me' to the guy in the cafe in the beginning.. and then dude would've broke his hand on his face and Clark wouldn't even have flinched bwahahaha
If Clark and Lois had a child, the law of nature and being is to carry the seed of your father. Apple seed, Apple tree despite the spoil. Kryptonian seed, kryptonian offspring, despite the womb.

No producers or writers or staff of DC/DCEU were involved in the making of the Trilogy
That was Christopher Nolan's Batman inspired by DC's Batman
@@fargo1234 Inspired by DC's Batman, yes. With DC character's. So yeah, my favorite DC movie since the Dark Knight anyway.
When you watch BvS, don't watch the theatrical cut. Just watch Ultimate Edition. WB messed up Snyder's vision in theatrical cut.
Technically speaking they messed it up still as BvS was supposed to be MoS 2
General Zod is one of my favorite villains, because the best villains honestly believe that what they are doing is right.
When it comes to superhero movies, this one is BY FAR the most underrated one! Such an amazing film piece!
I like to think that Zor-El being able to whip Zod's ass was all because he had something worth protecting while Zod was clinging to an empty idea or planet in this case.
Yes. Their son would be named Jon Kent. Part human, part kryptonian. By the way, Lois Lane is pregnant in Snyder cut
That moment when Clark killed Zod and realized he killed the last of his kind :(
Left out my favorite exchange in the movie between Jor El's consciousness projection and Zod:
"Zod you're talking about a genocide!"
"Yes, and I'm arguing its merits with a ghost."
Great video aside from that little detail! I'm a sucker for well-produced reactions, and this channel definitely doesn't skimp on producing quality content 👍
Honestly, I think this movie portrays super powered beings the best out of any other. The movement during the fight scene in the town is incredible.
kal was on of the first kriptonian in 100s of thousands of years to have a natural birth
BvS next! We need that Ultimate Edition reaction!
Christopher Meloni's character in this (albeit a small role) was phenomenal. The true courage of a soldier (Marine or otherwise), is knowing the true meaning of fear and that you might not be the best fighter in the fight, but you engage anyway. Love it!! I'm a veteran, so maybe I'm a bit biased. hahaha
Glad you liked it! I’m gonna be back once you drop the BvS Ultimate Edition. IT HAS TO BE THE ULTIMATE EDITION!
Finally, It's almost catching up to new reactions
Yup!
@@ItsAPrimatee its crazy dude how everyone shiit on this movie and said it was dog shit because critics was nitpicking everything. I was like this was a good orgin story for superman.
Swordman07 is better :o(
The boy just called the LEGENDARY Lawrence fishbourne “Homeboy from John wick”. I’m DEAD. He gotta be 5 hrs old 😭😭🤦🏽♂️. Thats MORPHIUS MR IKE TURNER HIMSELF LOL
thats what i said LMAO
BvS is the sequel and ithe only way it works is if you watch it AFTER Man of Steel and if you watch the Ultimate Edition
I LOVE this movie and BvS: Ultimate Edition!! Zach Snyder has such great visions. I can't wait for the Snyder Cut.
I actually really thought this was a great one. Micheal Shannon was perfect. I loved the Krypton opening.
That dude who was about to fight the girl with a knife was a real man of steel
Love this movie its one of my favourite Dc movies
Really liked the way you put it about him having to off Zod. Choosing a side. Choosing earth. Good stuff, man. Love the reactions.
Thanks mam
I always found it funny that Clark felt bad about killing Zod, but he didn't mind killing hundreds of people when he destroyed the city fighting Zod.
Kinda pissed off batman tho.
This Clark Kent became Superman just days before fighting zod how can he know the full extent of his powers and he is also a bit young and learning I don't blame him
People like u is probably why someone like Superman would be who he is in those films....do something good and freak out on all other stuffs and miss out the really important thing
@@topg1703 maybe but that's just my opinion
@@vinaykrishnan4729 not replying to u bro
I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THIS MOVIE.
Complete narrowminded dummies imo. This is the best Superman movie ever made. don't @ me
Some people look to deep lol
I loved this movie and cast. The only nit pick is the end battle was nuts. They legit destroyed the entire city and killed a ton of innocent people. Way over the top.
@@kevinmatthew1050 yeah the killing innocent people
@@kevinmatthew1050 what did you think was going to happen? Its literally Superman vs Zod. I don't know what you were expecting
@@kevinmatthew1050 yeah 2 god's fighting and nothing would happen
Man your enthusiasm during the battles is great, I come back now and then to these reactions because not often I meet people who also love those scenes. Speaking of which, while the movie may not be the best according to majority, I really love it, I think the greatest contribution of this movie to the hero genre are those fights between the Kryptonians, they are definitely in my top 1 superhero battles because of how op both sides are. They punches, the speed etc. and movie producers really did those scenes well, you can feel the speed and force of it all. So good man, so good
Edit. The punches*
This movie just gets better and better
Zack snyder didn't just give people another "show up, do good and leave" superman, he gave us an entire look into the mind and human-like struggles of clark and how he ultimately came to terms with them. I honestly don't understand how anyone could possibly dislike this movie.
Technically you can see Superman breaking Zod's neck as a losing situation because maybe Superman wanted Zod to live, but Zod played with Superman's emotions towards the humans
My favorite movie and favorite Superman perfectly portrayed by Henry Cavill.
Most realistic superman movie I have ever seen
this movie is soo underrated it breaks my heart
If you haven’t seen Remember the Titans it’s very good and on Disney plus
If you are wondering it is not a DC movie.
The fights with Zod and Kryptonians are the closest thing we'll get to a live action anime battle.
Glad you enjoyed this movie man
Personally this film made me a fan of Superman!
I watched Man of Steel at the premiere here at the cinema.
It was amazing to watch on the big screen!
One of the best superheroe movies ever, this movie make me a fan of superman
I believe this is the very best DC movie. Bale's Batman trilogy was epic but this, the man of steel, is on it's own level.
The voice from the ship that told Jor-El to surrender was the real voice of Henry Cavill. Without the American accent. Fun fact! :)
The fact that kal el said”Krypton had its chance”.shows that krypton had plenty of time and options to save their planet, but politics and power ruined it, plus he consider earth as his “home” because he was raised there and history of krypton.
the visual effects and CGI of this movie is BEST TILL DATE
Just recently re watched MoS again , feels bit different now lol. Because after watching Snyder cut, I cannot imagine that all this time General Calvin is Martian man hunter. He did pretty well in hiding himself in human form. Martian man hunter is very strong , man I would love to see him in action he would kick some ass. Hope Snyder universe is not dead but continue to live on
Never mess with Kansas Superman's mum, no no no...if you do he will NOT be merciful.
That arguement was resolved before his dad died. He called him dad at the end.
And zod is as strong as Clark..they have the same physical nature as Clark
In a different superman movie him and Lois actually do have a kid and he does have powers, it was either superman 1,2 or 3
This is THE Superman film…it’s got everything! It’s an absolute masterpiece and the soundtrack is incredible!
The whole interaction with the dad telling Clark to stay back when he is about to die is so sad.
I love when he hits his chest and he doesn’t even move
I wish Clark would've said 'hit me' to the guy in the cafe in the beginning.. and then dude would've broke his hand on his face and Clark wouldn't even have flinched bwahahaha
The Superman flight in man of steel and Spiderman swinging in asm1 and 2 are perfection
i just wanna know where his beard went halfway through the film
So weird to see the General after the Snydercut...
The guy holding Superman as a baby at the beginning, is Russell Crowe. You probably remember him from gladiator.
A suit of the House of El. Dam powerful, when we Navajos introduce ourselves in the original tongue... we also call ourselves the house/family of...
I did watch this movie on the big screen when it came out in 2013, and the visuals were epic!
I loved it when it came out people kept trying to tell me it was bad... I don't talk to those people anymore.
17:09 A LEAP OF FAITH🙌 just reminded me of the Into The Spider Verse Movie.
If Clark and Lois had a child, the law of nature and being is to carry the seed of your father.
Apple seed, Apple tree despite the spoil.
Kryptonian seed, kryptonian offspring, despite the womb.
This is literally the best reaction for MoS I've ever seen
:)
12:41 I don't know about The 100, but the guy on the computer played Mr. Gaeta in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica
