Vengeance does the sound design for refx/Nexus. Avenger is Vengeance's flagship synth designed in conjunction with Keilwerth Audio. I believe that Avenger is used to develop the sounds for Nexus. Avenger is an uber-powerful and full-featured synth and sound design platform. Nexus is more of a ROMpler. Vengeance has excellent tech support for Avenger. If you an early adopter, you will usually have stability issues with just about any software and there is always a download crunch to access the files. I just upgraded to Avenger 2 and am loving it!

@@diwkevin Yeah, I noticed the Changelog for 2.0.6: "FIXED: Crash in ProTools when loading Avenger."
Same thing happened to me. Re-download the factory 2 sound bank and copy over the installed one. The factory 2 presets will then show up.

you're wrong at the beginning of the video sir, nexus 3 is a rompler, avenger is an alrounder SAMPLER and SYNTH, you can import your own samples into avenger which you cant into nexus 3, maybe you can in nexus 4, in avenger you also have basic osc, granular and wavetable synthesis, like i said, realy an all rounder for complex sounds and sequences, it surely is worth the price, cheers

@@itsjxomusic thanx, didnt upgrade to nexus 4, there are other instruments that are better, like sampletank, nexus is good for using the existing libraries you already have, but there are more sophisticated platforms today, even the free synth vital, i have several instruments i use wich are very powerful, kontakt 7,musio,arturia V collection 8,vital (purchased),eastwest,VPS avenger, so i have everything i need, to reduce cost i only buy instruments that are unique or have extra playability, cheers

It sounds sooooo good! The stability and crashing issues kind of killed the vibe a bit - but once it was working, I was blown away with the sound quality!

Discovering your channel. Your image and sound quality is good but it seems to me that you should read a bit more about the product you are presenting. I mean nexus and avenger are a totally different architecture and you can see that by reading just 5 minutes their web site. Second your video is not too the ppint at all, you ned to cut parts and work the timing. Friendly advise, thats all.
Avenger is a beast and… its NOT a rompler 😊
Figured that rompler thing out after the blind test. 😅 Has rompler attributes - but not a rompler. 😁
You missed out so much of the good stuff about those presets by not using the macros
I’ll have to try those. This is literally the first time I’ve ever used that VST plugin. When you saw me using it, it was the very first time ever. Down the road I’m gonna to do a deep dive of it. Thank you for watching and commenting! 🙂
omg, you can't just seriously call Avenger a rompler! :D... it's a synth with oscillators, modulations and filter. And you can't compare Nexus to Avenger, it's like comparing a car with a banana. Vengeance does sounds for Nexus, which is a rompler, but they aren't the same technology at all, they have different approach and customers...
Cool vst. Man their website looks bad though, like its from the 1990's. Idk, if there app is anything like their website, I'm not buying it.
Agreed. It looks so outdated. The frustration with this VST was not being able to get it to load without crashing. Nexus (which is like a relative of Avenger) is great and stable.
@@diwkevin I've made money from songs using Nexus, very good. Serum is my main tool, but I do feel it could be even better.
