Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The best I can offer at this point is my old blog: fascinatedbytheword.wordpress.com/tag/genesis-1-11/ You should be able to copy it from there.
Do you have a recommandation for a german translation? As church musician, I am bound to Luther 1545, but for seriously studying these repetitions etc, I am not convinced. Happy if you found some.
If you want to be serious about it, learn Hebrew and Greek. As for translations, I would recommend the Elberfelder Bible. It's not perfect, but you'll see more of the repetitions there than in other translations, especially if you pay attention to the footnotes.
@@MasterpieceBible Many thanks Chris. Yeah, Greek, hebrew and then aramaic (for Daniel 1-7). Some say, its not really useful (Tim Roosenberg about the Daniel 11 study group). For me the question is, how much time on how many years I should invest in this...
It depends what you want to do. If you just want to recognize repetitions, it's probably sufficient to use an (online) interlinear Bible like this one: biblehub.com/interlinear to check which word is used in the original language.
@@MasterpieceBible Yes, i use it and I like it. With Strong's numbers it's also a help, though I am aware that I don't get the subtilities of the text. I will give a try at learning greek. Since I know 4 languages, maybe will not be too hard. Anyway it's rather to read-only... Thanks again.
I see these things all the time. But if I try to point it out to my family and friends... they think I'm crazy. I never have anyone to talk to that can follow concepts like this. Thank you.
Sorry to hear that. I’ve been there myself at times. Feel free to share things here in the comments if you like. Definitely hope you find some people who appreciate your insights. Blessings!
"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:3 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Rev 21:1-5

I don't want to open a can of worms 😆, but your presentations on themes within Genesis really expose the problems with the whole book of Enoch controversy, angels having relations with women. it seems very foreign to the themes of the text, like Greek mythology entering into the story. what your presenting really shows how the sons of God are most probably the human godly line/seed as God said would happen in Genesis 3, not angels. I'm curious do you happen to know any futher material on this?
I agree. Have actually been working on a video on the sons of God for a while now, but haven't been able to finish it yet. I think the immediate context also points in the same direction. There's a good discussion in Mathews' commentary on Gen 1-11 (The New American Commentary Series), for example.
@@MasterpieceBible Thank You! I've read Reinaldo W. Siqueira material on this, but I wondered if there was anything I've missed. if you haven't read his article do check it out, it's enlightening. God Bless I truly enjoy your ministry and I want to see it take off! sharing it all around 😁
@@eastking1157 Thanks so much, I really appreciate the support! Had not seen Siqueira's article. Very helpful! He confirms much of what I have observed in my own study of the text, in particular with regard to structure and context. I just remembered that I shared some of that on my old blog a few years ago: bit.ly/3sp0zGH and bit.ly/333cH7L (Part 1) and bit.ly/3gy3qYk (Part 2). There's also an interesting article by Fockner in JSOT which is not available online (as far as I know). I could send it to you, if you're interested. My contact info is in the About section.

I have one question will you please replay ???
Sure, what's your question?
I’m willing to bet this same pattern is at the end too
Tree of knowledge of good and evil was the law of Moses...Tree of Life...Christ
Does the figure of Eve in Genesis become a type in the Old and New Testaments? There is a New Adam, is there a New Eve?. David
Cool! I thought Japheth was the oldest son, though?
Chris is the new land Christ brings us into Heaven?
