Good video, but I think the black outlined people could've been a tiny bit more vaguely drawn. There aren't really a whole lot of details, but I think there's just a bit too much to see it as we shouldn't, naked.

If I lie to you or about you, you or another will suffer from misinformation. If I steal from you, you will suffer from lack or have to put out new effort to regain the loss, and all this while my family, friends and neighbors turn a blind eye or encourage my behavior. Now multiply that by the world population, then add in pride, greed, sloth, hate, etc, and you have suffering all around. Then stir the pot with the destructive force of major wars and you have hell on earth (the pit).
God could let this evil run its course but then the suffering of man would be indefinite and would eventually lead to mankind destroying him self.
God could destroy the earth and everyone on it and start over, but with free will being what it is the results would always be the same.
God could come to the earth and prove that he does exist and order everyone to obey his commandments, but that would be forced servitude especially for those that believe that rules are for others and not for them, or those that believe breaking rules is OK if you don’t get caught, etc. He would have to watch over us continually to see that we behave. And those that are forced into compliance will rebel at every turn. (This means that a 1,000 year reign on earth is a false teaching.)
He could treat us like children that continually like to play with fire and allow us to get burned until some of us learn to put out fires instead of lighting them and let those that do enter into his garden of paradise. And that is what he does.
God allows mans evil to run its course but under his patterned timeline and agenda. That repeating pattern is revealed in the seven seals and seven Churches, each seal and corresponding church representing a 1,000-year day, and each day having its own set of 7 trumpets and 7 vials. The 7 trumpets are 4 progressive leading (morally failed) cities/nations ((12 tribes into Egypt and 12 tribes out of Egypt) this is why there are 24 elders), and 3 major wars/world wars, and the 7 vials are 7 events of the last major/leading city/nation of each day (each city/nation a head of the dragon, Rev 17:9 (KJV)). The 7th trumpet and the 7th vial are simultaneous and end each 1,000-year day with God destroying civilization and bringing hell on earth (the pit) and thereby sealing the day, 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalms 12:1-6-8 (KJV), {this is how he sealed each 1k year day, the 7 seals.}, the coming “great” desolation being the eighth and last time. Rev 17:10-11 (KJV)., and God decides what truths (and lies) are passed onto the next 1,000-year day.
Today we are in the 7th day/seal and God rests on the 7th day. He will allow us to destroy ourselves and the earth with our undisciplined knowledge of technology and nuclear power, beginning of ww3 a nuclear war bringing the earth into tribulation for the eighth and last time. And after 3 ½ years of “Great Tribulation” the earth is cast into the sun (lake of fire, “the second death”) along with the evil and suffering of man (Satan and hell), and the sincere “fire fighters” (the church/adoption/lukewarm) are spewed out to a new earth (the waters above).
God didn’t create robots because they would have to be maintained and tended to continually. God didn’t create zombie like creatures that can’t think for themselves for the same reason he didn’t create robots, and both make poor FRIENDS. God created man in his image meaning he gave us the ability to think, reason, and choose. Now a FACT is that if I choose to lie to you or about you, you or someone else will suffer from misinformation. This is why in the Ten Commandments it says not to bear false witness. God didn’t give us the law because he didn’t want us to do things, God gave us the law because they are fact and when disobeyed the result is detrimental to life. Mankind’s choices are where evil ensues from not from some fabled fallen heavenly angel. As far as natural disasters and plagues go, we are promised protection from such things “IF” we obey the laws. We are also warned that if we don’t obey the disasters and plagues will increase. The troubles of the world today show we are definitely not making the right choices.
Also, God gave animals their instincts and “unique powers” (as the Wild Kratts would say) to keep the checks and balances in mother nature so that they wouldn’t have to be continually tended to. The struggle for survival keeps animal/plant life and mother nature from becoming stagnant and falling into useless decay. And only God knows what the full impact would be if just one species is taken away from its ecosystem including the Strepsiptera.
Don’t take my word for it, or any bodies for that matter. Come to the bible (KJV) with a clean slate, and with sincere want for truth, and not to consume it upon your lusts, but that you may do true worship and obedience to God, with a repentant heart, and with reason and logic the spirit of God will teach.11 … in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 (KJV)
      All glory to God. Amen

“Why didn’t the disciples know that Jesus could feed the 4,000 after he had fed the 5,000 in the previous chapter?” Matt 15:33 (KJV)
The so called “Christian” leaders of today teach that it is because they didn’t have faith. But the fact is that anyone involved in such a miracle and still skeptical would not only remember it but would be anxious for a similar situation to arise and prove it one way or the other. The discrepancy is put there to prod those with eyes to see (those sincere in search of truth) to investigate.
The answer is given in the 16th chapter where Jesus speaks of the leaven of the Pharisees.
      Matt 16:6-12 (KJV).
If that bread were literal then the disciples had every reason to believe that Jesus was being literal about the leaven and he therefore had no reason to chide them. But that bread being symbolic he chided them for not considering and taking to heart his teachings even after the third time of bringing up the subject. That teaching is what you are reading now.
The bible (KJV) says that Jesus followed no will of his own but the will of God.
      John 6:38 (KJV)
His life in the flesh is an ensample (representation) of God's laws. Jesus says that bread represents his flesh (his life) which in turn represents God's law (the bread of life).
      John 6:51 (KJV)
Jesus’ death gave us the New Testament. Matt 26:28 (KJV) and Heb 9:16 (KJV)
The New Testament brings meat to the scriptures, represented by the two fishes.
The meat is the symbolic code and patterns that bring/bind all scripture in the bible (KJV) together. Heb 5:12-14 (KJV)
It has been 2 thousand years since Jesus, so each fish represents 1 thousand years. In turn the five loaves of bread represent 5 thousand years that God gave his laws to man.
21 And they that had eaten were about FIVE THOUSAND men,…Matt 14:21 (KJV)
      This gives us a glimpse of Gods timeline. 7 thousand years ago Adam was kicked out of the garden. It also shows us that we are at the end of our time on this earth;
13 … and in the earthquake were slain of men SEVEN THOUSAND: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. Rev 11:13 (KJV)
What does all this prove? It proves that the stories in the bible (KJV) aren’t meant to be taken literally. Also different parts of the hidden truths and patterns are written by different authors hundreds and thousands of years apart show that the bible (KJV) is the preserved word of God orchestrated, compiled, and translated by him and the Holy Ghost.
It tells us that the bible speaks of itself and that it is for OUR admonition.
4 Neither give heed to FABLES and ENDLESS GENEALOGIES…1 Tim 1:4 (KJV)
It tells us its message is hidden in the fables, parables, and stories through symbolism.
And above all it gives us a major key in unlocking the hidden timeline and agenda of God. It tells us that the following verse is meant to be taken as literal. 2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)
So taking 2 Peter 3:8 (KJV) as literal tells us that each creation day is 1k years.
5 .... And the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen 1:5 (KJV)
Another thing that shows the creation days are 1k yrs. is if you take the phrase “the evening and the morning” and do a search verbatim of the whole bible (KJV) the only verse that comes up other than the creation days is Dan 8:26 (KJV) There is no way the events of the vision it speaks of could happen in one 24 hour period.
Okay now to get down to it. When you make the creation days 1k yrs. long you will notice there is a big problem. There is no way that plants (created on the third day) could live 1k yrs. without the sun (created on the fourth day). The only way for this to work is to switch the third day with the fourth day. And you can’t just switch verses at your leisure; you need to get permission first. That permission is in the book of Revelation with the seven seals, (a pattern of symbols that REVEAL the second week of Gods timeline, the time of man's dominion). Remember we are looking to move the 3rd day. So when you look at the 3rd seal we read; Rev 6:5-6 (KJV)
Balances are symbolic of the weighing of two things (choices). It’s giving us a choice, “A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny;” And in that choice it warns us, “and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” not to spoil the flow of things in your choice.
So when we switch the 3rd and 4th days we see a definite pattern (a flow).
On day 1 you have the one earth with no life created.
On day 2 God splits the earth in two, still no life created.
On day 3 God creates the sun and the moon and it is mentioned! that he also created the stars. Three cosmic entities, No life created.
On day 4 God creates plants. One form of life created.
On day 5 God creates fish and fowl. Two forms of life created.
On day 6 God creates cattle, creeper, and beast. Three forms of life created.
One would argue that man was also created on the 6th day making it four forms of life.
But a cow is a beast, the redundancy put there again to prod those with eyes to see to investigate. When we go to Matt 25:31-46 (KJV), we see that sheep are used to represent the righteous and goats are used to represent the sinner. When we go to Ezek 34:17 we see God judging between cattle and cattle and between rams (the righteous) and goats (the sinners) making cattle represent the only ones left the innocent. Not because they didn’t do anything wrong but because at the creation they didn’t know of God’s laws.
Therefore three forms of life created on the 6th day, man (cattle), creeper, and beast.
And we can go further with this creation of man. In Gen 5:2 (KJV) God calls “their” name Adam, meaning more than one. When we go to Rev 17:15 (KJV) we see that waters are used to represent peoples, and when we go to Gen 2:11-14 (KJV) we see the creation of the four races of man represented by the four rivers.
And this story of the creation of the four races is only given once, which means that the story of Noah’s flood is fable also. So when we go to 2 Peter 3:5-6 (KJV) when it speaks of the earth being overflowed with water it is speaking of the earth in the first day of creation. It also mentions that there was life on it before it was overflowed, similar to a vivarium, or a prep-station.
      Let's do a recap:
God overflows the earth with water, then after 500 years of darkness (called the evening) God says (speaking to the heavenly host) “let there be light” or to paraphrase [lets go to work]. Then for 500 years (called the morning) God and the heavenly host start setting the foundations of the earth, such as putting the continents and their rich resources in strategic places. Then God lets the earth settle for 500 years, being the evening of the second day. Then the morning of the second day God splits the earth in two. Then 1k years later he creates the sun and the moon and like I said it is mentioned that he created the stars also, not necessarily in that 1k year day. Then 1k years later he creates plant life, 1k years later fish and fowl, 1k years later man (cattle), creeper, and beast. And God and the heavenly host rested from physical labor the last day of the first week of God’s timeline.
An observation of note, water is an accelerant of decay, and the earth was overflowed with water for 3,500 years. And the calibrations of calibrations that need to be calibrated before an accurate reading can be given make carbon dating iffy at best. But no matter, just because you know the age of something doesn’t mean you know its history. Just because something is buried in 70,000-year-old mud doesn’t make that thing 70,000 years old.
Just as it took 7 one-thousand-year days for the creation, God allotted 7 one-thousand-year days for man's dominion on this earth (the seven seals).
      All glory to God. Amen

People can rationalize their emotional decisions, for instance.
I'm hungry, I grab a candy bar on the way out of the store, despite being on a diet. I rationalize that I'm hungry, so I must need the calories and fat. It's more important to listen to my body than follow my diet, right? Hunger pains is pain telling me something is wrong, therefore I should eat the candy.
Human reason is flawed for coming to conclusions but we can perhaps find better understanding of issues via the Socratic method.

I give glory to God and my belief in Jesus our Lord, for the change. He has helped me to curve my tongue and my emotions that have ruined friendships. The first pages of the Bible offer us a majestic cosmology. If you’re wondering what that last word means, you’re not alone! It’s a Greek word that means “an account of the ordering of the world” (from cosmos, meaning “ordered world” and -logos, meaning “account”). It’s an appropriate word to describe Genesis 1 because it’s a story about God establishing an ordered world out of the pre-creation, non-ordered chaos. In order to read Genesis 1 in a way that honors the cultural content of its ancient Israelite author, we need to step away from the modern debates about the meaning of this chapter and ask some new questions. How did the ancient biblical authors view the cosmos, and how does that influence what they meant by the word “creation?”
This question, it turns out, isn’t that hard to answer. They viewed the world as a three-tiered house, with “the skies above, the land beneath, and the waters below the land” (Exodus 20:4). And the land is prevented from sinking back down into the waters by means of “pillars” that form a “foundation’ (Psalm 24:1-2, Job 38:4-6). And what are these waters in the first place? This refers to the chaotic waters of the pre-creation state described in Genesis 1:2: “The land was wild and waste, and darkness was over the deep waters.” In other words, the biblical authors envision creation as an act of the divine will, facing the non-reality of darkness and water and carving out realms of stability and order, so that life can safely flourish on the dry land.
If this all sounds a bit strange, there’s a good reason for that. The biblical authors didn’t view the universe the same way you and I do! Their language shows no awareness that we live on a huge globe or that we’re revolving around the sun in a solar system that’s part of a massive galaxy. That’s how we imagine the cosmos, which is great! But the biblical authors saw things differently. If we want to understand what they’re trying to tell us about the purpose of creation and about the character of the Creator, we need to put all our cosmic ideas on hold. When we do so, we open ourselves to see reality from a whole new perspective, and that’s what we aim to do in our new video on Genesis 1.

Your teaching of Genesis is incorrect, I encourage you to read "The Genesis account" by Dr Johnathan Sarfati, it is not just a story, it is literal history. The Holy Spirit wrote the Scripture through man, they didn't craft it from their own understanding. The rest of the Bible adheres to Genesis being literal and the whole Biblical story rests on it being literal. Plus, if the creation story isnt literal, when DOES the rest of Scripture become literal? It even gives an account of Adams death and goes into great detail about generations.

my hypothesis is that genesis 1 was added by priests who didn't think the creation story was good enough and so wrote down their understanding of the world; because all they knew was that it was created in 7 days, whether those are analogous, or whatever -- it's a bunch of baloney.

We could read something and choose to then say that cant be right, so it fits into our man made box of thinking. What I mean by this is.. we could be living life differently to how God intended us to live. But because we choose what we feel is right, we ignore what zgod says about sin and so deceieve ourselves, because weve made our own way of thinking what ee follow not Gods word. Man wrote the Bible, but God gave His people the words. What is written in the Bible were from countless sources passed down and copied and given out for centuries. There’s an important message in Revelation 22. In verse 22: 18-19 it is written that we are not allowed to add or take away God’s words in the Bible, but then the prophecies in Daniel 7 has been fulfilled now, which Satan will change God’s set times and laws. Many Christian have been following the rules of man, since AD 300+, like Christmas from AD325, Passover was abolished in AD313, sunday worship , easter and so on. However God promised to bring back the truth that was abolished and changed, and it has been fulfilled as well. Thanks to God. Surprisingly God , “ The Spirit and the bride” will give us the water of life as it is written in Revelation 22:17 which means the bride here is surprisingly neither the church nor us.

The Book Of Revelation was written to real people in a time of persecution. Daniel 7 shows us the 4 nations that conquered 1st beast was Babylon, 2nd Greece, 3rd Mede/Persia and last Rome ( Ruler Of the known world) which killed Christians for 3 centuries! The beasts and Antichrist are a parody of The Trinity! This is a retelling of the end times and the 3rd is the last. A recap of sorts. It is still used in Jewish teaching today & called recapitulation. For the Spirit Of Prophecy is the Testimony Of Jesus Christ Rev 19-10! This is the Testimony Of Jesus Christ. Check Rev 1-1! Do not add to it take from Jesus’s Testimony! If it was about computer chips & China, it wouldn’t have made sense to 1st century Christians. It Must make sense to Them first. Real People, Real Letter. They needed to Stand firm with patient endurance for Jesus Christ through their persecution. 2 witnesses represent Moses & Elijah (John saw Jesus in transfiguration on mountain with Peter. Jesus fulfilled the promises of the Old Testament. We are indeed living in troubled times. WE need to stand Firm for Christ now, even to Death! Brothers & Sisters in China are dying Now! Christians in Middle East are dying now! This has been going on for centuries and will continue until Christ returns. There is no rapture. Jesus Promises We Will Suffer! For Him until he returns to bring Himself to us! Please, listen to Voddie Baucham sermon series on Revelation if you truly want to understand the letter! You will never know how much Jesus loves us and how much you can love him. God Bless you!

I have been a student of the Bible for 40 years and a teacher for 20 years. This is the first time I have heard Day 1 of creation explained as the creation of time and I like this. Never has anyone else had an explanation for the light like Tim Mackie has. I'd sure like to hear a discussion of this. Chuck Missler is the first Bible teacher I ever heard say that time is finite, so Tim's explanation is moving me closer to a better understanding.

I'm an agnostic atheist, but this whole "saved" thing gets me thinking... There's a hypothesis that this is all just a simulation. (in God's computer?) If that's true, then being "saved" or not would be the difference between saving a file or closing the program without saving. All that aside, it's hard to believe in something that can't be proved. If Jesus wants my file "saved," then so be it. If not, well, I don't always remember to "save" all my work either.

Amazing!!!! Love all the richness and meaning in even the few first lines of scripture! So much more than a children’s story. I love these deep dives, and I love Bible Project! Thank you for what you do!
