Most of those cards in the FTK didn’t exist in the zexal era (both irl and in the anime) and even then, Don thousand had manipulator of souls at the time since he absorbed Vector (the barian who used it)
I swear, there are tons of people that sit in the lower ladder just to toy with experimental builds. At least it gives people who don't have a lot of time or skill to ladder climb with interesting stuff to see and play against.

I faced that FTK before and honestly I could have stopped that with a super poly summoning mudragon but I thought he was going for hope harbinger which I thought "ok, once your dragon shows up, I super poly getting rid of ur utopia and ur hope harbinger for my level 4 monster and then ur gone." Little did I know he was going for that... Which I should have used super poly before he activates utopia eff again

the worst thing is that i knew exactly what was going on the second i heard gain lifepoints. so that ftk is now advanced to the next level where you only need 3 level 4 + a 6 of trap though no disruption

I've luckily only played against it once... and luckily, it NEEDS the opponent's Draw Phase in order to work... which means if you have Droplet or Chalice in your hand like I did? You can stop the FTK lmao
I don't know how to play all i know is that battle city is hell and the fact that you can only attack after turn 2 *does not mean you're safe from turn 1 death*
I don't get how you guys get excited over a deck that contributes absolutely zero RNG, zero Skill, zero Heart. The player is essentially cheating to get a 100% win-rate, and the only way to prevent that deck is to specifically build a deck to counter that specific deck, which then your deck will be worthless against majority of the decks being played. Shit like this shouldn't be in Ranked play as it only further screws up the meta, and ruins the fun atmosphere of the card game in general when you literally wait 10+ minutes for a jackass to finish his 'combo play' turn, where all he's doing is summoning stuff out and shuffling through his graveyard/Deck continuously until he gets the perfect hand.

You say that, and all I've seen when playing MD in the low tiers (not the best, can't win enough to climb consistently) is swordsoul tenyi all over the place. I hear all these stories of interesting and low power decks and that's all I've been paired against it's not fair lmao
I think Lower ranks could actually be better than higher ranks, they're actually creative and not running the same negates or something. I looked at the platinum decks and it's all basically the same "stop plays" cards. Too lazy to put everything else.
That FTK is really consistent too, you just need to draw a way into the utopia line and one of 3x destruct potion 3x trap trick 3x mystic wok

Fluffals are probably too good for this. They're missing VFD now, but they still put up a bunch of negates and Scythe lock.
