A vs B is probably one of the best things in Master Duel I get to see either the most boring-ass duels, or the jankiest decks and plays people have to offer
I watched a Lair of Darkness deck yesterday play some of the slickest plays I’ve ever seen and still get pummeled to death by the most Grindy Branded Despia build I’ve ever seen. Mirror jade came out like 5 times. It was so disheartening. Branded fusion is toxic. bad card design.
That Ancient Warrior guy saw Duelist B Discarding a Kaiju with Trade in and was like: "I am too scared of being Kaijued, i refuse to play the game" Lol
I love how in that first duel, the only reason Duelist A was able to OTK was because the opponent used Ring of Destruction on Aluber. If he'd saved that for later, he would've been able to bait out the Gryphon negate and come back on the next turn.
No he would not. Despia player had Branded in Red in hand. Had Gryphon's negate been used, he would simply attack normally, then used Branded in Red, targeting either Aluber or Tragedy since he had both in grave, then be able to fusion summon Masquerade by sending Mirrorjade and Ad Lib. Ad Lib would then summon back Mirrorjade, and he could attack again for the extra 3k and get game. Alternatively, Despia player could take the burn damage instead of negating, and then just use branded in red and just... sit on Masquerade with Mirrorjade on board. 2400+2k+3k means this opponent would have 600 life points left. So if he activates ANY effect, he loses the game.
@@TimothyGod OTKs ain't special though. That's just what a good deck should be capable of. A cool deck on the other hand, will attack the opposing bungus and defeat the opponent off of emotional damage rather than overwhelming physical force.
As someone who played time thief in ranked on MD just for fun, these new archetypes made me sad but their vulnerability to me stealing all their crap was oddly on point.
your reactions to these duels are really priceless and entertaining. the duels themselves from duelists A and B are really amazing that I can just watch them as many times as I want and I never get bored watching.
I like your funny words magic man, as I haven’t tried to play yugioh except casually when the egyptian god cards were the strongest thing imaginable and exodus was viable
It’s actually Neo Parshath the Sky Paladin! That’s the way that I was able to draw a card after inflicting the piercing damage, and why I was able to inflict piercing at all. But Mara is an interesting option that I may put in for the funny lol
Genuinely, can we get the ability to select what rank our Replay takes place in? Rookie/Bronze is so much more fun to watch than Diamond/Platinum most of the time.
Duel live is the dark side of master duel, I legit had to watch a 60 turn game of a marincess player getting rhongo sales banned till the deck out. For those sweet 5 gems.
What you were looking at were 2 duelists playing the game how it was meant to be played before they changed the game to “oh I’ll just negate everything and waste 10 minutes watching you summon.”
So I’m 90% sure that I was the Duelist A in the Agents vs Blue Eyes Duel lol. Should I have won? Probably not. But I did wanna fuck around and find out lol. I’ll have to see if I have that replay saved somewhere to confirm tho
I think the AW was passing because he wanted to wait for the opponent to control a monster so he could use the AW that require the opponent to control something and OTK.
I think skilled players that been in forget how difficult the game is now a days for people who re enter competitive play or are getting to it for the first time there a lot to take in that the general player base punish you for not knowing
Yeah alot of players who play are either completely new, fans of the anime, or just want a version of the game as close to irl without gimmicks. I'd probably play Duel Links myself if it wasn't for the fact I didn't want to deal with the gimmicks there.
Decks are more about what the player find is cool or fun in those ranks. As much fun as I have with silly decks like Fireisland Yubel, I still find fun in my Branded/Buster Blader combo and my first truly effective deck being Stardust. I would find Cyberdark or Cyberdragon more fun if it didn't brick so hard, but then again thats pretty much the same case for Blue and Red Eyes. Fun decks, brick easy. Honestly got back into platinum after slogging through the hoard of Floos and FTKs in Gold 1, but won't forget the L that I took against an Aesir. I was so impressed with how they played their deck that I just accepted the L when it was clear I wouldn't be allowed to recover. Let them get the W rather than Scooping when it was already over.
As a huge Dynasty Warriors player, loved the Ancient Warriors deck - played it once or twice myself Sometimes I feel like I am the only person to ever play it haha
Rulingquestion: if I activate dinomischus targeting a face down card my opponent controls, we then realize it has to target a face up card do i have to retarget a legal target if ther is any or can I set it face down? Can someone also send me a link to an example on the database, i couldnt find something similar
This isn't yugioh, this is ADD on roids. 7000 chains later and you win turn 2? Nah modern day card game really is for the "I need instant gratification" kids
As a Stardust and Buster Blader player I never understood the Blue Eyes hate. Really the only thing I critique is if my Blue Eyes opponent has 50+ cards in their deck. Really the issue I see with Blue Eyes is that it has no negates or decent protections from negators or steals. That and not alot of usage of Eyes of Blue cards that can make a Blue Eyes deck trolly if played right. For example Maiden with Eyes of blue combined with Protector with eyes of blue to set up for combos. As good as Sage is, it loses momentum quickly and can be countered just as hard.
@@francisharkins I hate Blue Eyes because of duel links when they got their 2016 era tcg support. For a while it was an actually top level deck on top of being extremely popular (because of course it is) so every other game was a god damn blue eyes match on every level of the ladder so I just have developed an instinctive hatred for that deck. Also the new jet dragon pisses me off for some reason so thats another reason. Also some blue eyes decks were starting to use halq to go into formula and then barone so thats just more annoying to me. I dont care if the deck isn't good in master duel, I am just petty like that 💀
A vs B is probably one of the best things in Master Duel
I get to see either the most boring-ass duels, or the jankiest decks and plays people have to offer
I still think they should have named them Red vs Blue
I remember watching Numeron getting rekt by Dinomorphia on Duel Live i wish i can save that replay 😏
the only things we need now is too
see the decks in the replay and hands

@@HyperFlame64V1 I mean there is nothing wrong with that if you believe that you won't have game on-board.
Same honestly haha
The AW guy could have done a clean OTK but was scared for....some reason
That Blue Eyes vs Agents duel is what I like to call "True Gaming."
It was a true “lemme see what I can get away with” moment lol
I love how in that first duel, the only reason Duelist A was able to OTK was because the opponent used Ring of Destruction on Aluber. If he'd saved that for later, he would've been able to bait out the Gryphon negate and come back on the next turn.

Tbh he should've summoned Persona Dragon to negate any extra deck monster.

Didn’t need to lol, I had the plan the whole time

To the Duelist of Game 2 playing Ancient Warrior, I say to you sir as an Ancient Warrior Player myself...
*Well Done, based list.*
As an Ancient Gear player I gotta say, the Ancient archetypes are always based
the second players were playing with the new rule that say you can only set cards in the first 4 turns.
That blue eyes player negating the Dimension Wall with Baronne when the wall was set in the imperm column gave me a goddamn aneurism, I swear...
And would he still take damage when he activated Dark Ruler that turn?
only works for the turn its used, so wouldnt of been negated.

Props to the Agent player
That Ancient Warriors vs. Blue-Eyes was simply both of the players going, "You go first." "No, YOU go first!" "NO, YOU go first!"
That Ancient Warriors player was so infuriating to watch, as an AW player I felt insulted, dude had full combo
Love these kinds of kooky matchups.
We can see that 2 people playing badly/bm against blue eyes player and still win lmao
I wish we could see the decks, some of these duels defy explanations, logic, etc...
