Staging build carbine is really good, but at least currently, damage and hit detection for the staging build feel really wonky. (Example: Firing one barrel from the super shotgun does as much damage as it would firing both in the master build). I've also had a few instances where I've had bullets go straight through enemies.
I love the new updates, it is bringing all of the weapons to the same high quality. One thing i cant stand seeing in mods is inconsistent quality and art styles, especially in weapons. For me one of the major selling points of project brutality is its consistent high quality weapon sprites, so this is a big plus. The old sprites really didnt match as well even if they looked a little cooler on their own or more badass, as a whole they stood out and didnt fit. I will say that the some of the changes to the BFG and unmaker i am scratching my head about. The BFG before was a ncie mix of using the classic bfg, and the one from quake 3 w its alt. Now instead it has what looks like a beam weapon, which imho fits more on the unmaker. The unmaker both of its fire types to me seem unfamilliar and unlike any ver of the unmaker we have seen, but i could be wrong and need to play w it.
I like the modifications in the staging build, but for me the best versions of pb3.0 are between 2018 and 2022. I have the late 2021 build and it's awesome but i have to admit that to this day my favourite is the March 2019 build, we miss you flamethrower zombie 😢

Also Staging plays somehow differendly from Master. Like Zombies are dodging when you're aiming at them, but sometimes zombie scientists just go crazy and attack air, and dual-wield autoshotguns are became even stronger. Also fire is going through walls, which is ridiculous, and fire is much stronger. And maybe the recoil of weapons is lesser in Staging, but i not too confident in this. Sad thing you can't shoot flamed enemies to get 5 health bonus in Staging build, but I'm think if you shoot them with autoshotgun altfire they will. Good change of freeze rifle - it actually more useful in Staging as frozen monsters now droping health and frozen spear mode pierces through rows of enemies. Also good change with BFG/black hole gun. In Master there is a dark-matter rifle upgrade for plasmagun, but it's so bugged and glitchy that it is was good to remove it completely for them. New mode for BFG is amazing.

Another W.I.P feature I discovered is that there is no current option for you to replace specifically placed partial invisibility spheres for captured marines.
No mention of Flamethrower vs Mancubus arm? Honestly, I kinda wish the Mancubus arm was available as a downloadable submod, just cuz of how cathartic it is to roast demons with a severed limb.
I won't lie and say that the staging build is better than what is publicly released. However I like the look of the old Super Shotgun much more than the stagin build version because the gold accents at the begining of the barrels staging version look off. Also I miss the two hammers and skull that the public release has. The new carbine is better but the BFG not having any color (all gray) is kinda dull compared to the public release having that beautiful green accent. The new unmakyr definitely matches Project Brutality's artstyle compared to the base brutal doom one. But the base brutal doom unmakyr has its own charm due to there being a literal demon skull at the end of the weapon. Overall pretty cool staging build, but I will miss some of the old weapon looks...
I agree with this one they say it too edgy but its not distracting and somehow cringe inducing as the new one when you play hope someone make a mod as a skin for the staging build
I have found a big difference between Project Brutality master and Project Brutality staging, the master version the enemies are difficult to kill, in the Staging version they are much easier to kill, which takes away the originality and personality of the master version, I think What is an error
My only gripe with Staging is the fact the supersh- sorry the sawn off, doesn't have the normal doom ssg reload. I don't know why I dislike that type of reload so much, I guess because it's slower in practically and you don't keep a finger on the trigger. Oh that and it sounds bassy with no boom.

The pickup for Staging uses the Doom Reload but uses what I call "the coach gun" reload, where you hold the barrels with the off hand, take your firing hand off and use that to load. I dislike how the weapons perform in the newest Staging Builds of Project Brutality v3.00 not being hitscan along with the regular shotgun being way less accurate than before. I'm sticking with the May 18 2022 Master Build since the weapons don't feel like I'm shooting a bunch of capguns.
@PotaTOOM.Official The moment I saw the ballistic weapons being no longer hitscan while the regular shotgun is just a pozzed super shotgun being fired from a single barrel, I immediately deleted that Staging Build and went back to the May 18th, 2022 Master Build. It pissed me off that badly.
Project Brutality is built off of Brutal Doom and actively worked to remove Brutal Doom things. The creator of Brutal Doom also very strongly hates Project Brutality. They started together and separated. They will never merge and be together again.
I remember reading in the PB Discord that they redesigned the SSG because some people said it looked a bit too edgy. A strange thing considering the Quad SG keeps it's skull riddled gothic design and even the new Unmaker looks WAY creepier with more realistic flesh parts and the little screen showing the poor tortured souls inside the weapon.

turn off wall decals set blood and gibs to 0 and if you can endure your game looking less impressive turn off dynamic lights or at least reduce it to 126 or something
The black hole gun and the ice gun are weapon modes already available in the Stanging version.

The blackhole Generator is incluted in the secondar mode of the BFG-9000 MK V Staging Build
The BFG firing sounding suttley like a growl is topnotch sound design.
They merged the black hole gun into the BFG you didn't use the secondary fire mode!

you can't dual weild a revolver

they didn't go backwads. they've combine black hole gun with the bfg as alternative mode. the ice gun is there as well.

I think you're confusing the pickup animation for being the reload.
