    Thank you and your team for your effort in explaining these models. You made a not-so-easy to understand model (Johns Model) easier to grasp and apply.

    I wish you could feel the level of relief I am feeling right now! This model allows the opportunity to work on things that do work too :) thanks 😊

    I'm so glad I found your videos - you've really made these models accessible and valuable and I feel much more confident about writing about reflective models now I've found you. Thank you

    This was incredibly helpful - especially the way you discussed the pro's & cons of each model. Thank you so much.

    This has been a fantastic lecture, so informative and rich in content. It was so helpful to see how you applied John's model to your own practice, and wow what a bonus to see a discussion about the pros and cons! Thank you, you have saved me hours of reading 😀

    Hi Holly, thank you for this. May I ask, did you use this structure when you answered questions on your clinical experiences in the Dclin interviews? I have a reflective clinical portfolio and wanted to enhance the reflection piece by using this model.

      Hi Simone - thanks :) I actually found it hard to use these models to structure answers but they were really helpful in me understanding my experiences better :)

      @@ClinicalPsychologyCommunityUK Thanks Holly. Very clear. I have two DClin interviews next month and your videos have been a great support over the last 3 years. I hope your second year as a trainee is going well- you certainly worked hard for your place on your course and I admire your energy and enthusiasm. Best wishes.

    Is this the sort reflection you would discuss in the dclinpsy application?

    • @ClinicalPsychologyCommunityUK
      @ClinicalPsychologyCommunityUK  3 роки тому +2

      Hiya - yes you could use this as a framework for reflection rather than saying "Using the Johns (2006) model has helped me reflect". What you could say is "Using reflective models, I have noticed that I have been drawn to working with underrepresented groups [and then go on to give examples and say how it will help you on training]".
      My video on reflecting a DClinPsy application might offer some help: ua-cam.com/video/PQ9ekj8_OKY/v-deo.html

      Clinical Psychology Community UK wow thank you so much for your reply. Your videos helped me write my application. I have worked with clients who have lacked insight into their mental health but I’m struggling to say why this will help me on training! Are you able to say how this can help on training? Will we exposed to clients on training who lack insight and how can we make the best out of the situation? Thank you x

    Thank you for this video Holly, it was so useful for me! I am about to start a placement as an honorary assistant psychologist in a neuropsychology department, I am going to start a reflective journal, how often would you recommend I do a detailed reflection like that of the Johns (2006) model, for example, is this something you would do every day, or once a week? Thank you so much

    • @ClinicalPsychologyCommunityUK
      @ClinicalPsychologyCommunityUK  3 роки тому

      Hiya, glad it was useful!! I would do it as and when needed. You can use different reflective models for different sizes types of experiences - I would advise having a play around with them :)
