    Will be nice to see 110v to 18v adapter. Makita patented it few years ago but still nothing is going on on official market

    I've added a 12v socket to mine. As long as I use a 12/24v rated adaptor (because of the 18v) I can charge my phone with a QC charger or usb c!!

    I've got the DeWalt version, it's been a life saver over the years but they are getting out of date, USB C and higher voltage is the future for these power hungry devices... Torchy's torch has just arrived... cheers lads

    Confused, why would you want a USB c outlet ?
    I've got hundreds of A to C leads but C to C is rare.

    • @efixx
      @efixx  3 роки тому

      Newer Apple and Samsung devices are either usb to lightening or usb-c to c - this is the EU standard moving forward. Plus USB C supports much faster charging.

    • @edc1569

      USB-C generally supports a level of USB Power Delivery which allow for the delivery up to 20V and up to 5A, note the up to.

    Why don’t they make a battery that converts/transforms your drill to 110v or 230v. For when your batteries run out. 👍🏻💪🏻

      Makita couple of years ago already patented box 230v/110v/18v with chargers and extension lead isnide so will be possible directly use "battery" feed from mains

    This thing is outdated. Dewalt has a USB-C PD adapter that is up to today's standard... It lets you charge laptops and even let's you charge the battery itself by plugging it into a USB-C laptop charger. I mailed Makita about this but no reaction.
