It’s one of the great Olympic scandals, reflective of what a chauvinistic corporate sham the Olympics can be, that the Russian and French judges conspired to keep the Canadian figure skating team from winning gold medals. Had the judges been impartial and objective, Moir and Virtue would have won gold in Sochi too.
I have been comparing the film Moulin Rouge with T and S Olympic ice dance and found so many little nuances in the tango on film that were nodded to in the routine. And am I wrong or was Scott singing the song at the end of the skate? ,Rouge with their Olympic performance
Yeah they were so stressed during the quad year leading to sochi. They were in a different space mentally and that reflected in their skating. Also, their fd at sochi was just technically a little inferior to d/w fd. But so glad they came back and won at pyeongchang :)
