wams jams they used some of the moves for synchronization parts where you see either Yuri and yuri or someone else skating synchronized together, like 2:41 Yes at 0:44 in the opening you see them do the same move

I remember when my dad was watching the olympics and i came downstairs to eat something and i wasn’t paying attention to the tv bc normally not really interested in figure skating but as soon as i heared the yuri on ice sound track i was basically glued to the screen. And what a performance it was!

With all those amazing sports manga/anime like Haikyuu, Kuruko no Basket, Slam dunk, Captain Tsubasa, Yuri on ice... no wonder why Japan always have so many talented athletes. Their young generation grow up inspired by those anime/manga and strive to become athletes themselves
Not going to lie, when I saw their skate on the livestream, I cried. Their interpretation of the song was beautiful, and of course it made me happy to watch a performance of the thing that got me into figure skating in the first place at the Olympics. Truly a beautiful program.

I remember when I was watching this live on TV and when I heard the music playing I just started bawling my eyes out because clearly YOI have touched the hearts of even the professionals and they’re willingly using it as their Olympic performance just speaks so many levels for me😭

Didn't watch the Olympics sadly but around 2 weeks ago ISU had a competition at an ice rink in Thailand(it's the same rink Phichit use to practice!). I only get to see all the short programs but seeing the competition with my own eyes was the best experience ever +w+

Yuri on ice is the anime that inspired me to start figure skating and honestly it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I finally found a sport that I love and that made me fit and that i can put all of my passion into. I'm going towards 3 years of doing figure skating now and I can only repeat myself: this is the best thing that ever happened to me. So seeing this soundtrack used in actual olypmia inspires me even more and makes me want to improve and be able to feel and show that song how they did. Maybe I won't go to Olympia (because honestly that would be too stressful anyway) but I have found something that makes me truly happy and satisfied with myself.
Im actually planning to start skating but im literally so scared cause its Ice and your on a blade of steel. Also, it seems to cost a lot since im broke and my parents can't help me afford skates or anything to even help me start and since im 11 I can't get a job or anything. So can I please have just some tips/advice on getting started once I do gain the amount of money to were I can at least afford skates?
That’s beautiful!! I would love to skate but I live in a tropical country and it never snows here, so it is really hard to find ice rinks and expensive to learn. But, anyway, that’s ok cause even so the anime helped me while dealing with daily anxiety attacks and I will be eternally grateful. I wish you all the best :))
I feel you! I startet two years ago and it brings me so much joy! I am quite nervous because I have a show skate and a local competition coming up. But it is the best thing that ever happened to me and I wouldn't give it up ever! It's so much fun!
This hits me so hard because I used to be bullied really badly back when this anime first came out (i was in 6th grade) and this song helped me forget about it all and just be happy for a minute, and seeing them skate to it (because I've also always loved ice skating which is why Yuri on Ice appealed to me so much) makes all of my dreams come true
For everyone on this thread, please know that it gets better. As you age you will find your tribe, and it has never been easier than it is today. You may not have people at work or school who understand you, but I promise there are pockets of people online who are just waiting to accept you for who you are.
Omg! Now I understand why that was my favorite part! It actually made me think about Yuuri’s strong suit being his footwork and that you can’t really look away. This presentation was enjoyable and the jumps were ok, but the foot work really made me feel something with the music.
To think people used to use that meme that went "still a better love story than twilight" and then proceed to like Yuuri K that's like the Bella Swan of anime and one dimensional boy Victor (his forehead is bigger than his character's personality, development and depth). It's just curious...
I agree that this performance was gorgeous but as a figure skater myself I have to admit that the skaters probably needed to do a little bit more and the performance was a little slow. The sport is so hard 😅 so competition is really stressful especially in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics that was a big one 😁 Hopefully that helped a little bit and have a great day :)
There's something tentative, almost timid about their partner work. It might just be a flaw in the execution, but to me it felt like the representation of a freshly blossomed love, one so delicate and new they were hesitant to touch one another even though they were longing to. Beautiful performance.
Sometimes I found myself crying while watching this. The few first times would remind me of Yuri x Victor. But the more I watch it, I actually more focused on the actual skaters, the movement, the emotion, the tempo, the mood, the eye contact,.. the perfectness. I actually made a plan to try ice skating with a best friend before the covid-19 outbreak, but we couldn't make it with busy schedules. Today is the 4th day of quarantine. I watch this video every time I feel like losing hope that I might cannot meet my best friend again. It always help me to hope again. Im sorry it's too long. Don't give up. All of this will eventually pass. Give it a try it's really fun. When I started figure skating I originally thought the same thing as you but eventually fell in love with the actual sport. I was supposed to attend my 1st competition on May but was cancelled because of coronavirus.

Honestly that goes for any anime. You may hate anime and never want to watch it, but the music is almost always awesome and something you want to listen to. Its either beautiful, funny, or so catchy that you want to get up and dancy
As a figure skating and anime fan I was so happy when I heard about and started watching Yuri! on Ice. So when watching the Olympics and I heard opening notes, I went crazy on how it all went full circle
I was watching this on the TV, and when the first second of the song started I said "OH MY GOD IT'S YURI ON ICE!" to my mother and she was really confused. I had to explain what Yuri on Ice was (I left out the shipping parts.)
I love ice skating and anime when I was watching this live I remember hearing those beginning keys and absolutely freaking out. It's been a while since I watched the routine again. These two did great on the ice, and simultaneously breathed new life into a gorgeous anime.
📍 Don't mind this,I'm just leaving a mark. I wanna be a figure skater when i grow older, I've been a fan of YOI and Yuzuru hanyu and other skaters💜 I'll hopefully come back if i get to get a chance to figure skate.

Yuri on ice is the anime that inspired me to start figure skating and honestly it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I finally found a sport that I love and that made me fit and that i can put all of my passion into. I'm going towards 3 years of doing figure skating now and I can only repeat myself: this is the best thing that ever happened to me. So seeing this soundtrack used in actual olypmia inspires me even more and makes me want to improve and be able to feel and show that song how they did. Maybe I won't go to Olympia (because honestly that would be too stressful anyway) but I have found something that makes me truly happy and satisfied with myself.
Im actually planning to start skating but im literally so scared cause its Ice and your on a blade of steel. Also, it seems to cost a lot since im broke and my parents can't help me afford skates or anything to even help me start and since im 11 I can't get a job or anything. So can I please have just some tips/advice on getting started once I do gain the amount of money to were I can at least afford skates?

I would love to skate but I live in a tropical country and it never snows here, so it is really hard to find ice rinks and expensive to learn. But, anyway, that’s ok cause even so the anime helped me while dealing with daily anxiety attacks and I will be eternally grateful.

This hits me so hard because I used to be bullied really badly back when this anime first came out (i was in 6th grade) and this song helped me forget about it all and just be happy for a minute, and seeing them skate to it (because I've also always loved ice skating which is why Yuri on Ice appealed to me so much) makes all of my dreams come true

I agree that this performance was gorgeous but as a figure skater myself I have to admit that the skaters probably needed to do a little bit more and the performance was a little slow. The sport is so hard 😅 so competition is really stressful especially in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics that was a big one 😁

There's something tentative, almost timid about their partner work. It might just be a flaw in the execution, but to me it felt like the representation of a freshly blossomed love, one so delicate and new they were hesitant to touch one another even though they were longing to. Sometimes I found myself crying while watching this. The few first times would remind me of Yuri x Victor. But the more I watch it, I actually more focused on the actual skaters, the movement, the emotion, the tempo, the mood, the eye contact,.. the perfectness.
I actually made a plan to try ice skating with a best friend before the covid-19 outbreak, but we couldn't make it with busy schedules. Today is the 4th day of quarantine. I watch this video every time I feel like losing hope that I might cannot meet my best friend again. It always help me to hope again. Im sorry it's too long. Well, I don't think anyone would read it lol.

Don't give up. All of this will eventually pass. Give it a try it's really fun. When I started figure skating I originally thought the same thing as you but eventually fell in love with the actual sport. I was supposed to attend my 1st competition on May but was cancelled because of coronavirus.

Honestly that goes for any anime. You may hate anime and never want to watch it, but the music is almost always awesome and something you want to listen to. Its either beautiful, funny, or so catchy that you want to get up and dancy
As a figure skating and anime fan I was so happy when I heard about and started watching Yuri! on Ice. So when watching the Olympics and I heard opening notes, I went crazy on how it all went full circle

I love ice skating and anime when I was watching this live I remember hearing those beginning keys and absolutely freaking out. It's been a while since I watched the routine again. These two did great on the ice, and simultaneously breathed new life into a gorgeous anime.
