@@petrihiltunen4478 Thank you very much! With the first decals it starts looking like a finished model and removing masking tape with high contrast colours is just satisfying. Regards ScalerDan
Thank you again for your appreciation. I'm very happy with the result, although it comes out a little cleaner than planned. I had to google CorSec first but your impression fits very well. It's nice if someone thinks more deeply...Regards ScalerDan
Thank you very much for your nice comment. I am very happy to give a little inspiration. Enjoy your diorama build, Yavin IV will definitely be great. Regards ScalerDan
Great job! The style in which Bandai does its instructions takes some time to get used to, but after enough Gundam kits, your brain learns to switch modes. 🤣
Thank you very much for the words of praise. I'm very pleased that you like the little diorama and that it's entertaining. That is very motivating for further projects. Regards ScalerDan
Looks really good. I'm looking back at some of your other Star Wars builds now. Was this X-wing OK with the thinner you used for the oil paints? I've read that Bandai plastic goes brittle and snaps when exposed to it, and that certainly seemed to be the case on my Y-wing - bits started breaking and falling off a few weeks later.
@@ModelNerd Thank you very much for watching and commenting. I like Bandai but you have to be really careful when using Mr. Hobby like thinners. I try to use as less thinner as possible. It also helps to use a good clear coat before weathering. On the X-wing I could avoid problems but I had a At-At which fell apart after a while. Regards ScalerDan
Thank you for the nice comment, that motivates me to keep going. I still have a few Bandai kits in stock...so it won't be the last Star Wars project. Regards ScalerDan
Really nice build and those are some great droids. I just checked and I have this same kit but also Micro Machines made a bunch of starwars characters in the same scale!!! I have like 150 of them to play with…. My head is spinning with ideas. Haha.
Thank you for your kind words. That sounds like a great collection. I'm already thinking about a new Star Wars diorama but I can't decide which one. B-Wing or Millennium Falcon... luxury problem! Regards ScalerDan
@ I see falcons all over. Maybe the B wing? Something different or less frequent at least. Haha. Great work again on the xwing. I’m off to church then cleaning and organizing my desk before the next build!
I got the 3D files from thingiverse. Unfortunately I don't have the file name for the droids. It's best to search for starwars, hangar, droids... I also like to use 'Cults.' to find 3D files. Regards ScalerDan

Unmasking canopies is my biggest form of satisfaction ;)
Sad but true ;)
Great video! Decalling a racecar model AND removing masking tape from any model are my two most favourite parts in modelling :D

The scheme makes me think it belongs to some kind of security force, like CorSec. Very nice build, thanks for sharing your hard work.

Funny, I hate masking the most. Peeling it off after is so much better!
