Wow! Have to say another great tutorial, def save this one aswell for later to rewatch. I never thought of the freeze option, and the same goes for the wavetable spread (had no idea what that was about). And the pads are really lush, you can almost feel them. Thank you Demis!
Cool stuff Demis! I have your JP8000 from a pack I bought. I have so many Vital wavetables, as you can import them from about anything. Where did you find that Crystal Sweep?
I have to try this. Very very nice. It would be nice if you said at the beginning, "this is what we are going to make". We can skip to the end yes but that's cheating. Just a thought. Thanks for the video.
Another excellent vid. Did you create that JP8000 wavetable? I don't know much about wavetables and still not got Vital. If I had you sitting next to me for a few days Im sure I'd get the hang of it...
This particular JP waveform is captured from a JP8000. This particular one is not a table that I am using but I do have an adapted version as a wavetable.
@@polznbladz3242 Maybe I am wrong but as I understand it waveform is that single shape in the oscillator window say saw/sine/square etc and wavetable is a whole set of those forms stacked one behind another that allows you to "scroll" between them (or morph the shape from one form to another) and that allows the sound of that oscillator change over time.
can you make us a full tutorial about PAD's ADSR (parameter amount) for any bpm of the song ( genre ,...). I am struggling with attack and release when I am trying to make an ambient pad or even for a hypothetical house or trancy pad which is technically faster in bpm. the problem occur in chord progressions, it does not satisfy my feeling, when chords alternate each other- there are not coming in and going out as fast as I need. I am sure VITAL is a good vst to show everything in detail.
I am a total amateur so take with a grain of salt what I am about to say. To me it seems like you are trying to force quick succession chords with slow pads which by definition are meant for slower paced / longer elements of the track. Pads (in general) are about that slow attack, long decay and release type of sounds what You are trying to do in my opinion is to force lead melody onto pads. As if you wanted to play guitar riff or piano arpeggios with legato strings, it won't end well. What you should/could try is using pads as a background melody that is slowly evolving etc and then layer snappier lead sounds on top for the main melody (short attack, short release).
Lovely sound! Instantly reminds me of the wavestation Pads edited by David Weiss for the “Aquatic Ambience” score from DKC (SNES/Superfamicom) 😊
i've listen to dkc today
Not only informative but also sympathetic..
I need to start using Vital more than I currently do 👌
Those are some lush pads! I've definitely gotta explore that advanced panel more.
Thanks 😎 Vital has a few nuggets hiding in the UI.
really enjoy these demo's thank's.
