AMAZING SMOKER | Assembling the Brand New Traeger Timberline 1300

We've just acquired a brand new Traeger Timberline 1300 and elevated our meat smoking game to the highest level. This smoker is so advanced and AWESOME that we actually need to read the instruction manual. A little bit that is.
Traeger apparently brought back their SUPER SMOKE mode, which by itself is exciting, but coupled with the high efficiency smoker, with sealed edges, is going to make for some amazing smoked meats and... pretty much anything else that can be smoked. We're excited to try our hand had some heavy smoked salmon.

I’m looking to upgrade from my pitboss 1100… it was a great price and I didn’t know how much I’d love pellet grills. That being said my search keeps leading me to the timberline 1300. Is it worth the $2k price tag after you’ve had some time with it?

I like it so far. It's overall size is larger and the options with the app are really cool. With all the new racks I have a bit of a learning curve as far as what I cook in it and all the settings. I did a whole turkey for thanksgiving and it turned out awesome.

Does it have a water tray for smoking meats

you know what would be a game changer for the first smoker company who will do this?? slide out grills! like ones that you could slide out so you can throw your meat onto but also be able to unattach for cleaning. You see them on conventional nicer wood smokers.
