- 1. His Majesty the King Felipe VI of the Kingdom of Spain and Her Majesty the Queen Letizia of the Kingdom of Spain will pay a State Visit to Japan from Tuesday, April 4 to Friday, April 7, 2017.
2. During Their Majesties’ stay in Japan, Their Majesties the King and Queen will make a State Call on Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will host a State Banquet in honor of Their Majesties the King and Queen. Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Abe will hold a meeting with their Majesties the King and Queen and also host a dinner in their honor.
3. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, which will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Spain.

Hay descendientes en España concretamente en Coria de Rio (Sevilla) de la primera delegación japonesa que visito España en 1614. Les cambiaron el apellido por el nombre de el pais: Japón, y sienten un gran orgullo por descender de japoneses 400 años después.

No hay monarquía en Japón, en vez de rey hay emperador.

I'm feel so odd because we are living in the modern age and Monarchy are not really that much today, but some of the country still make more traditional and even relationship between the two Monarchy countries for example like Spain and Japan.

You've got Catalunya, we too have Okinawa. Nowadays, monarchy's job is to keep frustrated region from breaking away. This year Emperor will visit Okinawa where some of the locals began speaking out independence from Japan and setting themselves neutral between China and Japan/US.
