My family lived in a flat above Bridgeton train station. My dad worked for the Scottish railways. That was the mid fifties before we all emigrated to the USA, (Boston Massachusetts area)
I used to live right on Bridgeton Cross and i used to call the phone boxes outside and wind up the local nutcases. It was all fun and games until they saw some poor innocent bastard at his window and blamed him.
Dont be such a clown, tbere are many catholics, celtic fans live in bridgeton, or are you just so anti everything that isnt Catholic or celtic, a pseudo irishman??? Take a real honest look at the history of the area. Get an education, or are you happy being a sectarian bigot.
Alex the majority of decient protestant Scottish people also have concerns about orangism in areas like Bridgetown not just Catholic bigots and to call someone pseudo irish because they take pride in their heritage is in itself a biggoted statement and as reguards education it's a well established fact that the more educated people become the less tolerant they are of organisations such as the Orange Lodge .
@@alexwallace5486 I am actually from Ireland! Tell that to mark Scott’s family! What was his crime? Being a Celtic fan they stabbed a 16 year old to death! Aye great place mate!
@@Starryplough1916 my point is not everyone in bridgeton is a protestant bigot, you're judging a whole community as one and that's wrong. No one deserves to be killed because they wear football colours or because they are RC and yes that was horrific. Just a wee addition to tell you a fact, it was bridgetons own people that helped the police capture the culprit. Also when a priest was being assaulted and wanted help, it was two orangemen that helped him and handed the guilty party over to the police. So as much as I maybe need to open my eyes a bit more, so do you.
