What is especially valuable is that Baldwin understood the connections between homophobia and the USA government's genocidal lack of action during the AIDS epidemic.
America's social contract ended when the pilgrims landed and thought it was normal to commit genocide on the indigenous and illegally import black human bodies as livestock.
