I love your videos man! I am starting my own journey in the service area and these videos are helpful to say the least

Sounds Like you’re training with a Future HVAC Technician. 😬👍
Sometimes those thermostats will revert back to factory settings if the power goes out for a prolonged amount of time with no batteries, didn't see if they were missing or not. Also, some of the older Goodman's will actually energize the SOV in heating just like the Rheem/Ruud stuff. Looks like neither one of those were the issue, good job Curtis!!
I was lost till the end when you explained what you did then aha moment
Loose connection. The thermostat probably needed a good reboot also. Much like personal computers and gaming systems, they sometimes glitch too.
Nice job Curtis.
Good job Curtis what was the reason for two transformers in the air handler?
The thermostat's base had a "2022" sticker on it. That definitely would make you suspect something related to it. (Unless the entire system was new also).
That was the code to get into program it
Nice vid curtis, and all due to a bad thermostat termination 👍
0:45 ooooh! 🚁 with 📱.
A bad connection on one small wire can ruin your day. Good diagnosing and repair once again.
Great video, love watching your work. Curious your opinion on unit sizing. What to unit is likely needed for 1700 sq ft house with 1 upstairs bonus room? Upstate SC region, average sun exposure. Currently have a 3.5 ton ComfortMaker and have someone recommending replacement with 4 ton, but seems rather large to me.
I cannot begin to guess on that. Best thing to do is call for another estimate.
@@HVACGUY is there a good online calculator that everything into consideration. Just not really sure who to trust up this way. This estimate just doesn’t seem right to me, but I’m not an expert either.
@@jasonduryea9166 Keep in mind, bigger is not necessarily better. If it is too big, it won't de-humidify.
@@bobgallo3775 I get that. That’s part of why I’m trying to understand how this is calculated. I can get more quotes like Curtis suggested, but how would I know which is correct?

LMAO
Loose connection ... Good fix ...
Some times remaking the Connection Works. 🤔👍
Title sounds like my mother in law
Still I can’t understand what happened what did you fixed was lose wire or not connected wire ?
Likely the orange wire on thermostat sub-base was loose
@@HVACGUY I appreciated your response I got it. I do watch each and every video of your channel I am working as PM technician and want to move up to next level. I finished my studies first than I starts working. Thanks for your response and sharing
I Really hate when they install the t.stat so low that you have to get on your knees.
I don’t know if this varies by state, but a tstat here in NC should be installed 5 feet above the floor
How many calls do you take a day on average in the summer?
7-8
Hey I respect your work so I was hoping you could help , I had a mini split that was getting a pc04 error code and after months I finally cured it after figuring out that the tandem breaker that was used for 120 volts mini split was also powering a refrigerator and technically tandems work great for extra circuits but the inverter compressor did like be on those and hope you will help get the word out about at least 1 reason bay will cause error codes on mini split because I have seen alit of people say it’s fine but it’s not 😂 so thank u
What Honeywell thermostat do you recommend. Non Wi-Fi
TH8320R1003 is my go to.
I buy T-4 and T-6
@@HVACGUY T6 is junk and looks cheap IMO. For a 100 bucks more most customers opt for the VP. Just my way.
You either fixed a dodgy connection, or gave the thermostat a good reset. Possibly the thermostat is on its way out, but it could also be a random glitch.
This is what I call a technical exercisum. You show up,say some technical words, wave some technical devices, and the problem seems to vanish. You leave wondering when or if you'll be back. This always seems to happen at a helicopters pad. Go figure.
Wow that's a shabby install is that air handler on angle and no supply plenum holy cow
👍👍👍
whoever did the electrical for those units should not have a job. Looks like they were trying to get outta there as fast as possible
Don’t you love those helicopters? Just in the way they are.
Helicopters usually become good buyers! Don't knock'em!
@@bobboscarato1313 Yes, they become buyers but will they understand the system you are putting in for them
@@josephkey7935 As long as they buy, means they trust you. I used to get lots of referrals!
