    This was excellent advice for getting into politics. If you get into trying to influence what you’re passionate about, it’s natural that you can find your way into politics, and you also won’t be lost in your way.

      It's excellent advice for lots of careers. If you are getting into it for money or influence, your heart will never be in it and you'll be mediocre at best. You gotta love what you're doing to have the drive to be the best.
      And yes, as he said, you must have been born with a certain amount of luck to even have that choice, unfortunately.

    As a strategic Liberal voter for decades I’m not pleased with the Liberal party right now and do think it’s time for a new party leader, but was impressed PM Trudeau did a great job here.
    To be fair I think Justin Trudeau is taking a lot of hate that really belongs to uncooperative right wing premiers who are actively sabotaging Liberal government policies and programs. I think Trudeau’s biggest mistake was failing to regularly communicate with Canadians and use powers available to him to inform and protect Canadians from bad provincial leadership on issues like public health, healthcare, housing and unconstitutional provincial legislation.
    Unfortunately there are a lot of good, honest and hard working Canadians who don’t really understand politics or appreciate what the different levels of government are responsible for which leaves them vulnerable to getting caught up in Conservative hate and mud slinging that encourages them to just blame the feds for everything.

      I disagree, Trudeau lacks long term vision and doesn’t see how his policies would affect each other, just look at his immigration policy and housing policy, whatever he tries to do now is a little too late and the negative impacts of such policies would take years to fix. Also he keeps hiring incompetent/wrong people (Freeland as an example) for the different positions in his cabinet, and they just keep making wrong decisions over and over…

PP refused to have a security check done when the leaders of the other parties did, he refuses to commit to spending 2% of GDP on defence spending, the conservatives voted against the trade deal with Ukraine, using the excuse it included carbon tax when Ukraine has carbon tax. PP blames Trudeau and the Liberals for things that are Provincial responsibilities not Federal. I believe PP will cancel the funds for Child Care, Dental and Pharma Care, plus I fear PP will cancel Govt health care in favor of Private health care plus funds marked for social services and education.

      Trudeau has destroyed Canada. He and his party are so reviled that if there were an election today he would be instant history. The gap between him and the party that is normally hated is immense. That other party, the Conservatives are set to get over 200 seats, as many as 220, when 170 roughly give a majority. The Liberal Party of Trudeau is projected to get less than 100. Housing prices are through the roof and not coming down, 2 of the top 5 least affordable cities in North America are Vancouver and Toronto. Wages are stagnant, they have flooded the country with more immigrants than America takes in (a country 10 times larger than Canada) in a bid to help corporate friends drive down wages. They are horrible. And to top it off, he has been cited for ethics violations 3 or 4 times while prime minister more than any other. And worst of all, he tried to surreptitiously change laws to protect a major engineering firm (SNC Lavalin) from being criminally prosecuted for international bribery of government officials of a different country (which we were supposed to do by international treaty agreements). The law is to allow the Attorney General to reduce the charges from 'criminal' which would allow that company to still retain and bid on billions of dollars in government contract. She declined to do that and fired her for not doing it. He denied that he was responsible for firing her, but she kept recordings proving otherwise and only made them public when Trudeau and team tried to slander her. some accuse her of being unethical in making the recordings, but proof was in the pudding that they were required as protection. He is an absolutely horrible person and a completely inept leader.

His son is also very intelligent and always does what he believes is in the best interest of Canada and Canadians, not always from a nationalistic but from a globalistic perspective. We all have to realize that we're all now inextricably very globally connected.

    Canadian here. Sure Trudeau seems like a nice guy, but don't be fooled. Canadians under the Trudeau government are saddled with extreme high costs of living, doubled housing costs, low wages compared to Americans and the general suppression of our economy. There is more homelessness, food bank use, and vast government waste of tax dollars. Time for new management in Canada.

      There are no doctors, unemployment is nearly 8%
      The cost of a two bed one bath bungalow is litterally a Million dollor mortgauge.

    • @ChrisM-tn3hx
      @ChrisM-tn3hx День тому

      That's absolutely incorrect in every way imaginable, but not surprising for a Liberal. It's the result of having little to no education on how an economy actually functions.
      National debt was 47,000 dollars per Canadian prior to Trudeau, and comprised about 80 percent of the GDP. Now it's 87,000 per Canadian, and makes up 107 percent of the GDP. One hundred and seven percent. In other words, Canada cannot possibly produce enough goods to get out of debt at the current rate. Any time your debt exceeds your GDP, your economy is in severe trouble.
      It's even worse than that. Since Trudeau took power, we've increased the population from 34 million to 41 million. 25 percent increase in 8 years by immigration. Meanwhile, he has not created ANY infrastructure to allow for that, resulting in severe housing shortages and rent/mortgages nearly doubling in 8 years, not to mention a shortage in jobs for younger people.
      The increase in population combined with the 85.1 percent increase in debt PER CANADIAN means the ACTUAL debt has more than doubled. Canada's economy is in serious danger.
      Learn.
