We can debate about how much manufacturer's greed in in the price points nowadays, but while doing that it's dishonest to not mention the cost of labor nowadays. Nearly everyone supports the UAW when they're striking but the money & benefits they demand costs us end consumers money, not the maker. I recently toured the BMW factory in SC & didn't see a single human employee working on the lines coming anywhere near breaking a sweat. I've abandoned having a truck in my stable & pretty much am on the brink of eliminating anything bigger than a subcompact SUV. I will rent a truck when I need one. Trucks & mid/large SUV prices are completely insane.
There are actually power outlets in most camping spots so it’s not really accurate lol. The point is you can bring gasoline but not enough power to make a difference when truly going off grid (which almost no one does and there are a million other things to consider that are equally important). FWIW I want both to exist and I would lease a Tesla if the mileage limit was higher.
We drive a 2006 Honda Odyssey at 193000 miles, and was considering getting a new car for my family, but these companies have priced out lay people like us. Instead we put the money intended for car payments into a high interest CD account
Ford is the only company that still offers them, but was there a single supercab at that show? Not another ridiculous, bloated four door with a baby size bed? An oversized, sedan pretending, I want to pretend I’m a truck driver grocery getter? Was there even a single two door, actual pickup there?
They don't make a lot of 2 door extended cabs because they don't sell that well. You and the people that always say this stuff are right there with me and the people who want manual transmissions. They don't sell and we're niche buyers. Time to accept it.
That's a show? Where the people? Looks like a massive tax write off for companies that produce gas powered vehicles. You should go to the EV show, in Thailand. Where ALL car makers show up to compete. Most EVs come in under 40k. This "show" doesn't show anything but zero interest in American's crap engineering and foresight.
my daughter loved Bronco but once we rented it, and drove it, the car sucked so we bought a used Porsche Cayenne 2018 and she loved it, bought for 22k with 80k miles and warrant to 100k, and it had an original sticker of 73k.
30k for that escape. No thanks. Should be like 20k. We don’t need 30k entry level SUV’s. Low 20’s is realistic. Until that escape is 30% cheaper, everything else will be way overpriced and way too expensive for the normal folk and we are forced to buy overpriced vehicles or not buy anything at all. Thats why there’s millions of cars available currently. Total greed. Corporate greed.

Not in a Tesla though. Super Charger network
@@frostcb2 I haven't seen any Tesla chargers anywhere. Though upon looking it up the closest ones are ~30 minutes or more away from my city.
Just this year two general chargers were installed in my city. The first two I ever saw here, and no more new ones that I've noticed. I've never seen any at lodgings which makes overnight trips pretty much impossible.
@@frostcb2Only really applies along major interstates, and definitely not in the wide open Western US. I just did a quick road trip of 1700 miles round-trip.
Ok, Boomer. Lemme guess, you think we all have 100 mile extension cords.
Do your phones still have cords, too?
Also it comes with a nomex suit & a large fire extinguisher 🧯.
Thanks for keeping us updated
Let em rot!
They will still get bought by rich assholes who probably scammed somebody down the line themselves
top prices loaded..... 35k for a car.... 50k for truck.... you will sell like hot cakes in the winter! why...... average income is 45k in the US... sure many are making 100k and up...... they are the only ones buying them ..... look at your friends how many are making 100k and up??
Most of my friends are well above $100k and still won't buy these vehicles. We are NOT that vain, nor that stupid. Far better things to do with our money than to give it to an auto maker.
If you make $100k you buying a $75000 or even $50K car making $100k you're dumb. I agree with you.
I make 105 and would never consider anything out there right now. I have a 2003 infinity qx4 (suv) and a 96 chevy truck. Less than 10k total invested and have 2 vehicles with less than 100k miles and from a time when they were built to last and cheap to fix
Everybody’s whining about the costs of ice vehicles. Yet they remain clueless to the cost of electric vehicles and the benefits. Get educated or go back to riding horses.😅
Zues your a clown 🤡
Those prices dont add what the dealer adds on like nitrogen and paint protection etc. You will never find those prices. Ask one of the reps there to find you one of any car/truck at the lower price
Are you aware that Costco has free nitrogen to fill your tires You don’t even need to be a member Just drive up and fill your tires
@@vidguy007 So, what's the percentage of nitrogen in the air from the hose at a regular air compresser? Nitrogen is such a silly 'upsell' product. You don't need it.
Why'd they put a BMW in the Toyota section? I still can't believe Toyota did that to a great legacy.
see that is where they missed the point, we don't care about 0-60, we want a vehicle that goes 500+ on a charge and can charge on 110 at your home---and costs 30k, built that
Most people don't want that.
@@GoonyMclinuxmost people want what they cant afford. Just like the overpriced houses people are buying to impress their douchebag so called friends 😂
And in Canada, with an exchange, you add 30 cents on every US dollar. Is it any wonder cars are not moving at all in Canada.
And taxes and fees. It’s nuts. Camry SE is 45k.
While having my 2016 Honda Accord LX serviced this morning at the dealership, I saw a lifetime $500 nitrogen package on a new 2025 Honda Civic Sport. Unbelievable.
Union workers are not payed too much, nonunion workers are simply payed too little.
"There's no chargers where you are camping..." Are there gas stations? You and I must camp in different places. 😂
If there is electric hook ups for RVs you can charge an EV.
Maybe, if I didn't pay more than 6-figures in taxes, I'd be in the market for one of these...
I watch your videos while at work towing cars 😂
I assume there are a lot of repos today going on.
I like how now the base price includes just one color, and any other color is extra.
We drive a 2006 Honda Odyssey at 193000 miles, and was considering getting a new car for my family, but these companies have priced out lay people like us. Except for minor problems with aging accessories, Odyssey engine runs smoothly with no major problems. We'll drive it until it dies on its own.
@ Nope, I’m gonna complain about it. 😂
Hi Brandon, enjoy your content 😊
Ever hear the phrase: "You will own nothing, and you will be happy" ?
You are witnessing the implementation of that phrase.
EXCELLENT tour!!! Thank You!!
I spent $32K on my last new car and I thought that was a lot. 🤑
We need for prices to go way, way lower. Hopefully the bubble will pop within the next 2 years.
my daughter loved Bronco but once we rented it, and drove it, the car sucked so we bought a used Porsche Cayenne 2018 and she loved it, bought for 22k with 80k miles and warrant to 100k, and it had an original sticker of 73k.
They used to give you luggage with the purchase of a vehicle but getting a dog sounds good to me 😂
If you think the companies that got bailed out and gave themselves bonuses care? Lol
I honestly never understood these comments. The government destroys the value of your dollar and Americans blame the corporations.
It's wild.
It's an rst, rst starting price is not the same as base model starting price. Someone could probably sue. It is false advertising if it doesn't specifically say so.
I'll be driving my 2021 CRV for many years.
There is no point in manufacturing vehicles that give dealerships higher margins, if no one is going to buy them.
Honestly, after going to a tesla with FSD, I would never pay over 30k for ANY vehicle that does not drive itself. Just did a Thanksgiving road trip, 1500 miles round trip, and Elon drove 98% of the trip. My skills excel in the parking lots.... 😂
I remember as a kid, probably 17 going to an auto show. The new tj was hitting the market. I remember how tall the step in was, it was red, and around $19k for the loaded Sahara! I was floored, who could afford such an expensive jeep!
My wife and I are both Subaru owners, I'm on my third in 18 years. I've never owned a dog. Not all of us are dog owners.
Shame they can't build most engines without needing headwork before 100k
Folks need to check their insurance policy to see if you have enough liability coverage
The vender area at the Chicago Auto Show is bigger than this auto show LOL
Thanks for the auto show tour. I haven’t been to one in years.😊
Nowadays there’s no point. Overpriced vehicles half as reliable as 10 years ago.
Last one I was at was 1995.. remember the trans am up in the air on a wall with the new 5 spoke wheels for 1995 made the car look so much better than the weird 3 spoke 93/94’s…the new hummer 1 the big one Arnold loved and bought was cordoned off couldn’t get near it.. show was cool then in Detroit… but a waste of money to go, I could look at any vehicle I wanted just going to a gm lot for free..
Thank you for your work. Hopefully, pressure from public and your videos will start making noticeable changes in terms of what is being produced and msrp
The “smile you’re on camera” sign next to the Daddy’s money cars 😂
Simple. Maximum stupid level greed. 😮
I'm not blaming manufacturers or dealers. The one who is responsible for the high prices. Is the consumer. As long as enough people are willing to pay 80 to 140k for a vehicle prices aren't coming down.
Yeah, someday, these people will stop doing these high prices. You know dealerships know the prices are too high.
Alot of trust fund babies running around. What a time to be alive to have to compete with the non worker
@4:36 SO JUST SO YOU GET THE UNCENSORED TRUTH; WINDOW STICKERS & THE NUMBERS ON VEHICLES MEANS ABSOLUTELY "0." 👿
The volkswagen van looked pretty cool
Funny how they NEVER have the starting price models. Like. Anywhere, ever.
You can order one through the manufacturer i believe.
They should be made affordable for us people stop being so greedy what is wrong with car high prices market? 30,000 sounds good for a truck please now lower prices so we can buy a car. This is so sad this is happening to us. We did joe we did it never forget. Thank you Brandon may God bless you and everyone.
I enjoyed going to auto shows, first was 1963 and have been to many over the years. Thanks for doing this. You have saved me some time. I haven’t attended in a while and can see by these prices I probably won’t go again this coming year. The auto companies don’t seem to understand , unlike a loaf of bread I can pass on overpriced vehicles. The ones in my garage still work .
I got a 23 Tesla Y for around $30k after tax credits and discounts, and they gave me a great trade in value on my old car, so it was very affordable. And it is amazing; and it has the same design and trim level as a the most expensive version. Who would buy these $100k crappy cars?
Work trucks were basic an affordable not now no one can buy no 🤑 Toyota hops comes out with their IMV small truck said will be sub 20K😮
If everyone stop buying new vehicles at the price they are the price will come down I will never pay more than $30,000 for a new vehicle I usually buy a good used 10 year old vehicle !
All i need is lights for movement on my mirrors and a backup cam.
To be fair, the disclaimer on that Colorado at the show does note that the price does not include destination charges. The $31,395 Colorado you pulled up in Homestead Florida is $29,800 + $1595 destination - it has zero options. (With the Bomnin Chevrolet discount of $9000 its actually $22,395)
What you smokin?
@@profrog493he's smoking math. Not meth, he did the math.
Ive been saying thid for years and nobody listens...
People cant even afford the down and payments on a 25k or 30k car.
The reason the manufacturers are keeping prices high is because the only people who can afford car payments right now can afford the higher price points.
