    Great presentation. Without strong ankles and feet a runner is at a disadvantage. These are essential exercises.

    Running slalom is also activating and strengthening the muscles around ankles and knees!
    You can introduce some wider slalom and then get smaller and quicker.

    Just try circling your feet under the bedcover! You can also double the cover, the small resistance will do a lot!
    Another trick to train the shin muscles: Walking on the heels. A flat heel segment of the shoe will also generate resistance while you're pulling your feet up walking for about 20 meters. You can do this isometric only holding feet upwards or add some contractions.

    Question: how long would it take, in general, for the ankles to change to a significant difference based on doing these exercises?
    In simpler words, how much time does it take to see permanent flexibility improvements with focused ankle exercises?

      No such thing as permanent mobility; use it or lose it.
