As of the day this video is posted, the abyss has changed to one where the favorable side for Navia (1st side) has a chamber with non-bosses. In order to get the best out of Geo MC, make sure you don't put the meteor right under the enemies, otherwise you can bump them up and make it hard to actually hit them. Try to offset your meteor slightly to the side, and have fun!
Also never play GMC with Furina or you will hate yourself

@@M1ndzor yeah, that's why mitigation units are kinda poggers in this abyss. You can play Hot Rock (solo geo, navi-bennett-xiangling), then the flex unit could be a mitigation unit like dehya, xingqiu, beidou, zhongli. I prefer using dehya (w/ a sac greatsword and tenacity, so that i could have potentially 100% uptime on E + tenacity), because the mitigation is on E, no need to burst. having no zhongli on my account, dehya became my option. ~

@@squallleonhart1463 technically you can play both navia and noelle. using noelle to genereate crystall shard and quickswao to navia to using her skill and switch back to noelle. i tried this but somehow need high ER on noelle or i'm having skill issue

I really appreciate how Zajeff really apologizes about thing he can have judged harshly. It's sincere and makes me trust his judgement quite a lot.
I've got Noelle on Redhorn, Navia on Unforged, Furina and Yelan, and absolutely loved it. Furina and Yelan need minimal field time, and Noelle picks up the slack time that Navia has in her kit while stacking fanfare. AND you can swap to Navia in the middle of Noelle's burst to skill and NA/CA and go back to infused Noelle to pick up more crystallize shards.

@@preshandpereira4035 yeah I'd guess as much, it's 2 80 energy units and 2 60 energy units, and none of them generate a ton of energy - the best you've got is navia's 2 charge skill and you only get 2 charges on yelan if you're C1+

Genuinely been surprised by how fun and decent she is. I pulled her just because i enjoyed her character in the archon quest, but im not really regretting it like i thought i might've.
So far ive mostly been experimenting with her, xl, bennett, ning. Still trying to actually build my ninguang and find a good rotation (one that lets ning use petra to buff xl, and give thrilling tales buff + particles to navia, and gives navia enough time with bennett buff) but it's actually been super fun.
If you're using Ning to buff, then put her in a double hydro, double geo team with Navia and Furina. Put Ning on the new Songs of Days Past set and Prototype Amber. To max out the SoDP buff, everyone in the team will need to have sufficient hp thresholds, meaning 35k+ for the hydro chars and 25k+ for the geos and/or Ning with a healing bonus circlet. Cheers!

when you first started testing geo mc on stream i instantly tried it myself and honestly geo mc felt the best as navia's geo partner since i care about energy comfort a lot, with geo mc on fav ive been able to run navia with 0 er substats which is crazy

I think the tactic is use geo MC for boss content and Alfredo for AOE content in her teams. Provided you have him.

Navia finally gave a use case for my unlucky Unforged pulls. With R2, I'm already reaching 3k attack with an ER sands and pyro resonance before Bennett's burst, his Noblesse set or Zhongli's Millelith set.
Unforged scales a lot better without other external atk buffs like Bennett or TTDS so you might consider playing non benett teams and look for other options that give you dmg bonus if you don't like bennett
@@prastal The difference between performance between R5 Serpent's Spine and R2 Unforged even in a Bennett team is rather small because of the ER sands that I like a lot for the consistency in solo geo teams. If I had any of the crit 5 stars I'd obviously run those, but the Unforged works surprisingly well. The full passive is pretty much always up for hold E's thanks to crystallise.
I'm glad to hear that you've taken a step back and apologized for the way you frame characters viability in teams. It's been an issue I've had with your analysis for awhile. That the flexibility of a character to fit well into a team that isn't necessarily their TOP team but still create a team that is really good is an important aspect for many players. From a purely meta perspective it allows you to alter your team to content. From a player enjoyment perspective I think it matters to a lot of people to add a bit of spice to what can inevitably become extremely repetitive and boring gameplay.

Agreed, I was kinda miffed at how tazer and stuff was handwaved and ignored last vid since my furina was in other teams and I'd not use xl.
and still everytime i see any streamer play Navia they use only Xiangling/Bennett, sometimes with Furina (if they have C2). in reality her teambuilding is pretty limited.

I have huge respect for Zajeff doing this post-release format where he reviews his own video. I wish more people did it because I think it's so insightful and important to elaborate on the evolution of your thoughts on a characters and also to be able to fix your past misconceptions in a very clear way. Although your takes are generally well thought out it still takes courage to evaluate yourself, especially publicly.
I feel like Albedo is very underrated , i use him on my team (Navia , bennet , raiden shogun , Albedo) and he can actually provide the 6 stack very quickly when Navia doesn't have burst up. Even though the increase EM from Albedo burst doesn't seem that significant but it's still can increase the shield strength which mean you less likely to take tons of damage and his skill also deal more damage when enemy are below 50% hp , since he is geo mean he can generate Energy for Navia very easy and also get access to geo resonant.
I agree. Idk why everyone is saying albedo is only ok with Navia when in fact they synergise so well

Thanks for addressing GeoMC. My Dendro needs are plenty met with Nahida and YaoYao, and GeoMC is the only other Geo character I have besides Noelle, so I've been really wondering if they're worth investing for the resonance.

so far Navia is one of the most fun chars in the game. The shotgun sound is satisfying as hell and her numbers seem rewarding plus you get free crystalize shields all the time so you get resistance to interruption and she also works as a shielder

As a person that used Geo MC a lot in the early abyss and got myself a Navia, I'm really glad to see this. I've had a lot of experience with using the short hold meteors on Geo MC and I finally can get back to it. My MC is on Dendro but will switch to Geo to test this out. :D

I was running thru the world of Teyvat with team Navia/GeoMC/Layla and Charlotte and with my still not finished artifacts on Navia (not enough cr%) it was really fun experience.
Ice and Geo resonance were carrying it altogether pretty nicely.

Surprisingly, I’m enjoying playing Navia with Ayato, they feel kinda similar to play! I’m pairing them with Fischl and Albedo and it’s working fine
I was super unprepared for Navia because I pulled for Wrio and Furina prior. Had no artifacts and team built for her and people usually recommend bennet-xiangling as her definitive "best team" which i both don't use.
So when I got her, I was so relieved to see that shes a lot more flexible than people made her out to be. Ended up using her with Furina, Albedo, and Charlotte.. The rotation is pretty smooth and she performed really well in abyss 12 for a lvl 80 6-6-6 unit with skyward pride :')

I pulled Navia 1) because i love her and 2) because I've had Albedo since 1.2 and i wanted a team to finally put him in. i have had dog shite luck with artifacts so i'm running 2 petra 2 glad with a 4* feather because thats what I have, and i pulled xiangling and bennet from my childe national because i don't have furina and they were already built. all this is to say that i have an extremely scuffed Navia. My review is that she is amazing, super simple rotations that do big numbers, the amount of crystalize i get makes her easy to play, her lack of reliance of NA combos means i don't have to feel bad about sprinting to dodge. Even my shitty Navia managed to 36* at level 70. She's very forgiving for people like me who are Bad at video games. I have a lot of S tier DPS characters benched and Navia for me is more fun than all of them.
I appreciate the comment about teams. It would definitely be wrong to say that her only good teams are Geo/Bennett/Xiangling and Bennett/Xiangling/Furina. Out of the ones I've tested the ones I like the most are Geo/Bennett/Xiangling and double geo/Bennett/Yelan. Fischl is also a good option if you need electro for some reason (like in the last abyss it's good for SIMON) or just don't have anyone better. Furina's energy reqs solo hydro are high enough to be really obnoxious to build around for me, but that's definitely personal preference and I'm sure if you do they perform well enough. Honestly I'm too lazy to switch around artifacts and weapons all the time when there are double hydro teams I'd way rather use Furina for personally. Overall, the main point is that yes, there are definitely other viable teams that to me, generally feel better to play in some cases.
I think that more than a lot of other characters, the state of weapons on someone's account affects the performance of Navia's teams relative to each other fairly significantly. Because Verdict and Serpent Spine are generally her highest damage options, and don't have ER, if a player does not have access to them, the ER weapons (Mega Magic Sword and Sac GS) are genuinely among her best options, which makes meeting the ER reqs for solo geo teams much less of an ask. I've done pretty much all my testing with Serpent Spine and Verdict and with those I would consider her ER reqs in most of the solo geo teams to be unreasonably high unless you switch to an ER sands, which you *can*, but it restricts things even more and you're losing a lot of atk. But with an ER weapon they're not unreasonable at all.
That being said, Navia does have more options to screw around with her EQ reqs than a lot of units do, since you can pretty reasonably get an extra E on the first and last rotation of the chamber.

I actually rly enjoy zhongli with navia, i apply element on enemies and then E shield with zhongli to get insta X amount of crystallize shards instantly, then i swap to navia and can have that way instant burst of E, thats among other benefits
As high investment navia I always do 3E it's solve her energy requirements and enemy always die within 1 rotation, except the 3 mil boss but they are close to die that I can just do random stuff and funneling energy.

I haven’t been able to get on my PC for a month (flew home for break) and I got Navia and playing her on mobile is one thing; I’m very excited to actually be able to try her properly on PC. She’s one of my favorite characters to play and if I decide to build Geo MC it’ll be hilarious, I’ve never considered using her before. Navia’s a W character, love her a ton.

Agree with many of the points. Though I really like Navia in Wet Rock with Furina and Kokomi and Albedo. Albedo just feels better than Zhongli (caveat on shieldless enemies and you have albedos event weapon), his application and damage contribution is much higher. Zajef is also on point about crystalise, you don't stagger often because you always have at least one. That leaves the very contested double Pyro units for other teams for which there are many. I actually tried forcing mono Geo Side one and Wet Rock Side two and got a 36 star clean. Replaced Albedo with Bennet on mono with Fav and just brute forced the geo slimes with non infused normals. Bennet was also able to help with the Tulpa
I will go out and say of the fontaine dps I have the following at C0 (since I choose new characters/weapons over constellations)

She is the easiest to get really good damage and has the most flexible team options at C0. On a very average signature set with the Wolfs gravestone still pushing 300k nukes in the current abyss cycle and can very easily two rotation most of the floors (side two floor two takes a longer because of the geo slimes have to auto more here without an infusion but still can be brute forced).
Neuvelette absolute needs his signature or high refined BP weapon. I have neither so he feels underwhelming, I've tried a bunch of other 5 star weapons.
Leney has to go mono pyro with a shield, (*Neuvellette also needs a shield in many situations). I also think he really wants a high crit bow for which there aren't many options.
I still like using Albedo with her and Charlotte-Albedo combination for crystalize is amazing! 4th slot can be flex. Though Furina is awesome with Charlotte as always, I do prefer going for Cryo Resonance, so 2 Cryo + 2 Geo. The most pleasant part about this is extreme consistency, though maybe not the highest high.
I've been using Navia with MH, Barbara with the new healer set, Zhongli, and Furina. I considered using geo MC, but I didn't feel like going to the statue.
I will stick with my bloom build on my Barbara. O love seeing those MASSIVE bloom hits that she can trigger.

i use the navia jean furina zhong team to farm her artifact domain because jean burst instantly kills the elemental shields and allows navia to 1 shot the horsies

I love Navia. I got her because gunbrella but she’s a killer even at all skills at 1 (I just leveled her to 80 with an ok artifact set, I dread farming).
Now we just need to find the true "The Bell" user
And i also like to use beidou instead of XL bcs she gives you interuption resistance and swapping to beidou to perfect counter feels good. Also she can hold my gws
I didn't have a good 4th unit for my Navia team and was looking for cope options and found one that worked really well and didn't expect at all, Lynette on a nobeless. Her talent gives 20% attack on burst, so 40% attack buff and she generates a ton of particles with 2 skills and a fav and goods extra off-field application of crystalize triggers. Probably not best, but it's a functional cope option. Was enough to clear abyss with a lvl50 1/1/1 talent lynette.
Anemo it's not good with Navia, because she will proc less Cristalyze.
You can get the same amout of DMG by using 2 Geo or 2 Pyro.
My fav Navia team is
Navia, Bannett, Dehya, Yelan/geo/(Furina but ion like only Bennett for the heals)

I tried a team with Geo MC and the Barrier doesn't spawn half of the time, even when there are no bosses around. Which makes it basically a wasted slot.
Then I trapped myself inside the circle and the Electro boss cooked me alive. 10/10 immersive rock simulator.
I'm glad the biggest flaw with Navia is just the lack of geo supports, since that's easily fixable. We could very well see a future unit that synergizes super well with her and boost her back into the spotlight

I would say how zajeff see a characters is more in pessimistic way? It's not bad at all. It makes me as a player who will pull a specific character to not have high expectations. Even when the actual comes up to be better (that makes feel alot better) is pretty good feeling. Tho coz he gives us pessimistic perspective if the character turns out to be bed it wont hurt as much as expected and its very nice to have him. (But still this is kinda exaggerating, coz it just probably that he face up to the harsh reality rather than catter the simper eheh)
Well most of the community tends to either over hype or doom-post over new characters. Zajeff tends to take a more reasonable stance for pre-releases.
He has an huge hate boner for five stars that are limited and five star weapons...well, he hates anything that might require pulls or money in this game, besides Favonious. You need to know this about him and understand that all of his opinions are like one or two levels above doomposting, but definitely more on the pessimistic side of things. He's unrealistic, but in the "it will save you money if you listen to him" kind of way. I think that Jamie and Genshin Scientist (although he has some really awful takes as well and is in the other direction: a little TOO positive about garbage kits like Cloud Retainers kit which is god awful) have more accurate takes. Jamie specifically has the best takes out of anyone that does theorycrafting and makes content. Shills like Sevy will sell a character no matter how shit and garbage they are, like Dehya, convincing her viewer base to summon for that god awful unit as if she wasn't terrible. This is why I trust Braxophone over her, any day of the week. Zyox tends to have a pretty middle of the road take most of the time, and is pretty good.

She doesn't hype up character unreasonably (unlike Brax, actually, who describes every other new release as "insane") she just makes her guides for people who already like/have the character. She had an extremely level tone about Dehya in her video and made no illusions about Dehya being especially good at anything.
Hii! I love your content and how deeply you explain every aspect of each character. I have a question, how did you buiild Bennett for the Navia / Xiangling / Bennett / Furina team?
I'm actually a big fan of GMC.. prior to DMC release, my go-to MC was GMC and fully-built them (so my built MCs are actually just GMC and DMC). Also, my go-to flex slot with HT team- which, I know, might be weird and difficult for some. But I got used to using GMC. Anyway, with this, I'm just happy GMC got another recognition with Navia's release.
I play Navia with Bennett, Xianling and Yun Jin. Yun Jin's buff makes my Navia do twice as much damage with her normal attacks and the duration and cooldown lines up perfectly with Navia's infusion. Plus since Navia is Geo I can run Yun Jin with less ER and more Defense.
The heavy-hitting enemies are so true. My Yoimiya felt even squishier than ever.

I have Unforged R2 unfortunately, so i am using it on navia, it allows me to get rid of bennett and use other supports without worrying too much about atk buffs, like Furina Charlotte for exemple. It also matches her looks pretty good.

Outside of boss content I've found Alfedo to work rather well with Navia. The account I have Navia on doesn't have Yelan otherwise I'd probably go double hydro Furina with Bennett.

I have a limited roster, but a heavily invested Noelle, and I feel it works well with Navia.
My Noelle has been getting *stonks* lately. First Furina becomes a permanent fixture on her teams, now Navia with short field time, high single-target damage, and high particle generation who can ALSO take advantage of C6 Gorou AND Furina...the synergy is fabulous. Noelle has carried me through just about every abyss since 1.2 and it looks like that trend is going to CONTINUE, BABY.

the 10% crit rate from geo MC also is a good support buff to that i wouldnt be suprised most people dont even remember it being a thing.
but ya its rare to see the eariler MC elements get use, like the 1 situation ive found for electro MC is hyper energy funnel into 1 unit. electro MCs energy funnel is so strong(especially with fav) its possible to cast burst on CD for someone like noelle at 0 ER, also works on itto and xiao.
She's forever stuck on my Flex team.

About Zhongli one thing that is good is that you can find the time to burst and since cristalise do a good job at protecting navia, it is possible to go with more offensive builds on Zhong so his burst do damage

This. My Navia is with c2 ZL, Furina and Benny. With Furina buff, my support ZL only on ToTM/Homa is able to do 150k+ on burst plus his petri somehow be helpful to me coz I have distance perspective problem and I could miss Navia shot lol. ZL shield is important since I'm using r5 Serpent spine on Navia so ZL is perfect with her.

HP sands. It gives Zhongli damage while increasing the tankiness of his shield. He also gets a generous bonus to his...well, literally everything through HP scaling tacked on, and it's pretty good, too! I have HP sands, Geo Gob (ATK Gob when with Furina because she gives so much dmg bonus that you would prefer attack goblet) and a Crit helm on Zhongli. I use Homa with him as well, since he's not paired with Hu Tao. I can get his meatball to hit like 250k to 300k depending on how many buffs he catches. This is with Bennett, Furina, Zhongli, Navia. His burst is no joke with the huge AoE and crits, you can easily get a 750k to 1million nuke in aoe if you hit 3 / 4 targets. @@arsalirahaiy5275
True! You should definitely spend thousands of resin in ToTM domain, in order to gain like 2k dps from zhongli.

As a C2 Navia haver C1 and C2 reduces the need ER and possibly Battery. C1 allows you move some ER to Crit and C2 allows you to move CR to CD. Wolf's Gravestone and double pyro allows you to completely dump Atk% substats from your relic sets making it easier on your builds to focus more on Crit stats (My Navia only has 53 flat attack substats and is on atk% sands and has 3.5k atk total at level 80)
My C2 Navia has +20% ER in substats and that seems to be enough to allow Navia to get her bust from skill and normals. My Navia hypercarry is literally just Burst, Skill, Normalx4, Skill, Normalx4, Burst, Skill, Normal 4 and then swap off for rotations.
Geo MC is a pretty good geo teammate for Navia. One thing- the crit buff means a lot, especially since 70% crit rate feels like 10% whenever I fire Navia's skill. It's so obnoxious to miss that crit but Geo MC is a flex seal to that problem, even providing on demand energy. I think the only issue now is AoE situations due to that displacing enemies onto the roof of said geo construct.
So my go to is Navia + Albedo for AoE and Navia + Geo Traveler for ST. If we could get more dmg bonus buffers in future, I would vouch for double cryo with Unforged/WGS because if it aint 100% crit rate, its a 50/50 or even worse, its less than 10%. The cryo resonance actually does things here since Navia crystallizing on skill means she is hitting enemies affected by cryo so 15% more crit rate plus 20% if Blizzard Strayer on team.
I wish I was happier with how Navia turned out. I've loved Geo since day one of the game and lil sad to see how it is now. Hopefully Chiori is interesting to me
This I a pretty wierd team comp , but I have found out that gorou is pretty synergistic with navia.
He can absorb shield and provide interuption resistance and def that increases her survivability . And at C6 he can give 40% crit DMG and minor healing.
The best part you don't need any artifacts for the buff, so you can use any artifacts on him and hell beff her , as he just needs er.
Personally I've found 4 gilded rlly good on gorou as it makes the crystalised shields stronger
I don't really think making crystallize shields stronger is worth it over using noblesse or exile, but hey, as long as it works for you
