I saw Yoda too 😅 Love your shelves and the dolls, seeing them and especially the barbies makes me miss buying them for my daughter. Wish we had a rag and bone man still. Enjoyed spending time with you today 🎉
I so enjoyed your December Wrap-Up Candy. The musical interludes were gorgeous too! I cracked up at ‘Yoda’!! 🤣 Didn’t think much to that book when I started it years ago… Love that you buddy read with Poppy…precious! 📚❤️💫
Omg YODA 😂😂😂😂😂 What a riot! I love that you buddy read with your daughter ❤You’re inspiring me to organize my shelves. It’s been ages. And I definitely need to read The Chimes and Peter Pan!! Loved this Candy 😊❤
I really like V.E. Schwab.A darker shade of Magic was really good i thought. The invisible life of addie larue was one of my favorite books. It's so nice you buddy read with Poppy 🥰I am so happy you had a nice December Candy 🍬 🍬I missed you 🥰Much love and many Blessings and please send my love to Tilly ❤❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹🤗🤗🤗🤗
After a bit of a stressful day I really enjoyed spending these 40 minutes with you Candy. Loved your December wrap-up. It sounded like an adventures month of fantasy, mystery, wonder, and magic.
Hey stranger! Long time, no see (at least it feels that way). You have been very, very busy reading. Wow. I hear you on the "yoda" book, but you had 2 very interesting and different expectations. Maybe you should re-write it from those povs? Anyway, I love that you are in a "good space". You've watched BRIDGERTON?!?!?! We have to talk. Asap! OMG (I need a tarot deck for that show). So glad you and Poppy share more than just Taylor Swift. And such fun with Tilly 😍. You are so adventurous in many of your reading choices. Thanks for taking us along. I really enjoyed it. (Also hoping to catch up, one day. Lol) ❤❤❤
Hi Candy thanks for sharing all of your books, I loved the moomins as a child something magical about the stories. I never realised the author wrote adult books, I will have to take a look at some, love and blessings ❤
Glad you had a good December and Christmas. I think I’ll try The True Deceiver it looks like a shorter read which I need after the marathon of Wolf Hall, Bring up the Bodies and The Mirror and The Light. I’ve just finished The secret Diary of Anne Boleyn and need to drag myself out of Tudor England back into the real world😂 I did enjoy my January challenge book The Girl in Red. It’s an easy read and simply told and now I’m looking for other Fairy Story retellings. This is not a genre I would ever have chosen so thank you for that prompt Candy😀
I can’t read certain genres for the very same reason. I have A Darker Shade of Magic on my bookshelf! I’ve heard great things about it from everyone who’s read it - maybe I need to move it up my TBR list. Peter Pan is a truly wonderful book, and one of my absolute favorites! I love that you read it!
I am reading 'Witch Wisdom for Magical Aging' at the moment. It is brilliant! Also reading my copy of 'Witches' magazine which is a beautiful read. Such magical illustrations and articles. ❤😊
"The True Deceiver" sounds really good, thank you for that, Candy. Have you ever read any Barbara Pym novels? She's an incredible writer -- "Quartet in Autumn" was nominated for the Booker Prize and I personally love "Excellent Women." I think you'd like her. Also, Hungarian writer Magda Szabo wrote a wonderful novel "The Door," which reminds me a bit of your description of the Tove novel. Same kind of quiet yet intense story of a relationship between two people in unusual circumstances. As always, thank you for sharing, Candy.
I just finished "Little Women" the other day. I had put it down for months and finally read through the last 3 chapters in 2 days. (patting myself on the back). I think I am going to read "Bleak House" next because you reminded me that it exists.
Candy. I know what you mean about some books living in your head. I read a Persephone book (they print vintage books that are out of print) before Christmas. It was based on a true story and its stayed with me. It was such a sad story. Its haunted me ever since.
I could see Yoda on the cover too 😅. Your Christmas shop book sounds like all the hallmark Christmas movies that are on during the season. I know what's going to happen because it's similar plots but I watch it anyway lol. Thanks for sharing your happys.,
Yay! 🎉🎉❤ I thought it was yoda as well. 😅 oh wow that yoda/angel book sounds terrible. Like a bait and switch. 😢 oh yes. The images that go on living in our heads after the book is done…. That’s a huge issue for me as we’ve discussed. I feel this. But I loved hearing about your adventures.

Great vid..how many books can u read I a month?
🤍💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍
yeah, I don't like jostein gaarder. sophie's world was really popular but I thought it was awful. it was a novel trying to teach philosophy.
I thought it was good but I was doing a Philosophy course at college so it was good at explaining philosophical ideas in simple language.😊
