I bought a Sonos PlayBar, Subwoofer, and 2 Play 1's back in November to have wireless 5.1 surround sound in my bedroom and I absolutely love it. The sound is incredible. Best money I've spent in a minute.

I was going back and forth with SONOS and Bose SoundTouch 300. I went with Bose because of the slimmer design of the sound bar. The sound is great. Especially, the bass if the Bose AcoustiMass 300 is included. You also get at least and HDMI port on the BOSE whether the SONOS doesn't. It only had Optical. Bluetooth is also supported with BOSE. Only WIFI on SONOS. And I believe BOSE supports also 4K audio. But both are great sounding products.
is this thing a viable surround option now in 2019 ? or is it anything new we have to consider before buying this sonos pack with bar, 2 speakers and sub ?
smuthole Sonos creates every product with the intent to make it last years. Yes it is still viable. You won’t have Dolby atmos though
I have Sonos speakers all over the house and you can sync all your rooms to hear the same music everywhere. The quality of the Sonos is legit. But I do have Bose noise cancelling in-ear head phones on right now so you probably can't lose.

If your asking which has better sound quality it would be the sonos. Sonos has lossless capabilities and hi res but bose soundtouch doesnt. Soooo its not even a competition.

You can connect up to 32 sonos speakers all in one house. Sonos is amazing. got 1 playbar, 3 subs , 6 play 3's and 4 play 1's. Sonos all over my house. The App works good too. This a Win.
M.N Wilkinson wireless works really well. If you can try assign them to a wifi network not being used by your phone or other devices

I have two play 5 hooked to mines for surround sound and they sound great.
Floss, you should have reviewed the Samsung K950. It's a true Dolby Atmos Soundbar with discrete surround speakers and 4 height channels. It's regarded as being the best Soundbar on the market, and is not compared to other soundbars. Instead, it is compared to AVRs with separate speakers.
Do you have to use Ethernet connection or can you connect with Wifi?

Michael Anyim The Sonos sub is pretty powerful but the SVS will go much deeper. Hardly any usable output below 35hz with the Sonos.

I got the sonos playbar and i dont like it. the sound quality is almost the same as my 100$ speakers of Trust.. and yeah i put them both together.. and switcht between them with several songs.. and me and my partner where both like.. this sounds exactly the same!? i then tryed too adjust treble and bass.. what made it even more worse.. the sound is just not warm.. my Yamaha set from years ago sound better.. so im thinking about too sell it again and take an reciever with separate speakers again.

Bose get much louder and hits harder. The Sonos is more accurate sounding and sound better at lower volume. Sonos has slightly better software and they both offer 2.4 and 5 GHz. Having said that, I have sold all 5 of my Bose ST30 units and am moving over to the Sonos because the Bose software is not that great and Sonos works with Alexa. If you have a SmartHome then get the Sonos, if you like your music LOUD then get the Bose.

I did side by side comparison between SONOS Playbar and BOSE SoundTouch 300 and I feel Bose provides a more cinematic sound like the sensation you get straight from IMAX cinema. Since I have SONOS Play 1 and new 5 in my house so I’m probably still go for SONOS if I would buy more speakers.
But you thing the Bose Sound bar and Bose Sub 300 it's better than Sonos Playbar and Sonos Sub to watch movies and hear music? Or you thing its almost the same thing?

I'm glad you did a video comparing the Bose 300 with the Sonos Playbar system. I don't agree with one point that you made though. I really don't care what the speaker looks like, it's just not important to me but to each their own. I would think that the Bose with the glass on the top would have a tendency to reflect the image of the TV off the top of the Bose speaker. I could be wrong though. I'll admit I used to be a Bose fan boy but thankfully was exposed to good speakers and now realize that Bose doesn't make a speaker that in my opinion is worth buying.
I have Sonos Play 5 gen 2 in all my house that's like 5 speakers and i had before bose soundtouch 30 and 20 and the sound from Sonos is crazy just absolute true suround heavy bass crystal clear sound i also love at Bose that display in the middle and the sound was also great now you show me this sound bar !!! Just to let you know Floss i love your videos man and love when you show good gadgets and hight quality stuff.Unfortunately I'm not upgrading yet my sound setup but for your viewers as an advice Sonos is better in sound than Bose...now i don't know everything about all they're products but that's how i form my opinion after i saw they're presentation and also own a lot of gadgets from both of them and i love them both but in speakers for home I'm going to give Sonos the lead in hight fidelity sound.Peace to all !!! ;)
I don't think you can get as many Play:1s as you want unless you're talking about whole home sound. I want to say that 5.1 is the best you can do which would be Playbar, Sub, and two rear speakers (Play:1, 3, or 5 gen2). Otherwise, good review! I think the true winner of Sonos is the whole home audio. Can't beat it.
Sonos speaker to me is the best easy set up and excellent call support to help set up if there's any questions. Only one thing I had trouble was getting subwoofer to work had to buy the extra &50 sonos bridge to connect wirelessly. I love the fact the sub is wireless.

Sonos just for the fact that you can add up to One's throught the house and can manage each of those speakers.
I have Sonos 5.1 in my living room and just amazing. Once again Bose is 👍 however Sonos is unique.

im 24 and love BOSE was introduced to it by my dad, and floss bose doesn't need a whole lot of speakers for surround sound. a lot of their 2 speaker set ups sound just as good as a full what 7 speaker setup. It's all those years of research that they have on the competition.

Man, praising Bose so much! Each their own opinion but have you even listened to a good AV setup of actually great Brands? Bose is fine and all, but for that price you would expect high end drivers and enclosures.. what do you get? fairly cheap speakers and mediocre enclosures. You pay big time for the name of that brand man.
