- NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
It's official - We have set a new record! Our "Mission World Record" by the Förderverein GreenTeam Uni Stuttgart e.V. was a huge success.
We couldn't be happier to finally received the official confirmation that we are now officially record holder for the fastest accelerating electric car.
In 1.461s our self-developed car E0711-11 EVO accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h.

Seriously, how did you manage to not include a single shot of unedited 1.461 seconds of the whole run?
Haha, was wondering why the theatrics. Just a simple drone shot at 50 ft?
For real. Stupidest video ive ever seen
I think the complete run is included twice.
@@GregoryFariss it’s not included a single time in any way where we can actually see how fast it is accelerating
@@BestOfTate23 they used a drivers view shot. A much better job was done here:
ua-cam.com/video/n2XiCYA3C9s/v-deo.html
Congrats on the record. Also, holy crap this video is over-edited
Would've been nice to have a simple overhead view to get a better perspective of the speed and distances covered.
Would have been nice to hear the car vs the music. Why do content creators always do this.
Germans...
How many cuts did they make? Horrible.
Looks like a "How to sit" MLG tutorial.
Congrats. Too much slowmo. It would have been nice to see a real time shot of the full run outside of the car. An overhead shot from a drone would have been ideal.
Very based
ua-cam.com/video/o0-gsb4kFGo/v-deo.html
I will subscribe if you promise to upload static camera shots with no music so that we can get a sense of the speed. Great accomplishment! You should show it off with footage that lends perspective to what you accomplished!
Agreed. I don't have a reason to doubt they've truly made it, but the video leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to seeing it in action
They have those videos in the channel
😂👍🏻 +1
@@webbugt its an electric car, there IS no action.
Its acutally very boring because you don't have a sense for the Speed. Its about 20 Meters of accelaterion with No reference
Not sure why this needed so many close-ups of transistors? Didn't make it feel any faster for me. A full shot that's not cut or edited might make it a lot easier to convey speed?
Good lord, must every video production house ape Hollywood? There wasn't one exterior view of the entire run... nothing but quick edits, slow motion side views, voyeuristic close-ups, techie gamer graphics, and over-the-top sound effects. Oh, and let's not forget birds flying, because... you know....birds.
totally agree
Absolutely, need to see the track from a distance to have any kind of perspective!
Yeah
Birds are everything🥲
@@siba-mini8377 - Indeed. I'm sure they knocked off a few hundreds of a second. 😉
Impressive! You went 15 meters and couldn't manage to show the entire run?
It's quite possible for 15m to have BEEN the entire run...
They did, twice
1 second
1:25 You can even see the speed in the dashboard
@@SomeRandomUserName960 Not really. The dash shows the speedo up to 30.x unknown speed units. Should we guess units are m/s or should the video tell us? And isn't that showing the wheel speed and not the car speed? They should say how the speed was measured. With all of that missing info, an overhead camera can show the actual distance traveled, which is proof of speed (relative to ground) (as long as nobody plays tricks with the frame rate)... In order words, we want another 2 seconds of something more grounded than this overproduced video gave us.
Congrats great job.... Now PLEASE upload a video of the actual run that is not stop cut edited to oblivion. Just a nice static camera shot or two tacked to the end of the video would have been perfect.
Fire camera man and editor. Honestly frustrating the sheer stupidity to not include a single good clip that would have been 1.4 SECONDS long
Congratulations!
It is a pity that in the pursuit of coolness of the images, we lost sight of the essence.
I wanted more images that showed a sense of acceleration.
How sticky is the tire :D ? Yes
This the slowest-fastest speed record I've ever seen.
it was not possible to propose a good outside view for the record apparently
Great job with the car! Congratulations!
But I wonder why did you make a video showcasing how fast this car accelerates, in slow motion? 🤔
Yeah let’s put it in fucking slow motion to show how fast it goes
this video does a terrible job at showing the actual speed of acceleration.
Whoever did the editing needs to resign. There's no proper shot of it accelerating without the slowmos. You've gotta be kidding me
Yes! How hard would it have been to get a normal perspective? I waited 2 minutes to see 2 seconds that were not there.
Agreed. The one thing we want to see and it's all superfluous imagery.
Congratulations GreenTeam Stuttgart, what a phenomenal launch off the line!
Congrats!!!
Proud to be part of the Formula Student community
would have been nice to see it in real time, even if only 1.4 seconds......
I came here to say the same. Slow motion and on board footage just doesn’t show how quick this is.
1:17 oder 1:27 :)
Didn't even realise when the record run finished. Had to watch again 😅
Shoots, I was expecting this video to blow me away! Sorry, but it sure fell flat!
Love the tire warmup procedure, torque vectoring at it's finest ^^
Why not show a side-view from a stationary camera position? There was zero sense of the acceleration from the views shown.
I don't know what's the biggest record:
- The 0-100kph time;
- The amount of edits used to show such record.
You have more footage? It's hard to see the speed in the video
Amazing job!
Very well earned.
When do you get your revenge? 😅
But a transit van would still win over first 10 feet
Let us know when you upload a video of the run.
Any normal camera angles?
Why show the launch in slo mo? I wanted to see the launch.
That's unbelievable. How the car was able to create the contract with the surface required to push forward, amazing....
I’m sure it isn’t easy but there’s no sensation of speed. I was hoping for more.
Thanks to the comment section I didn't waste my time watching a video with no pay off
Congratulations from Norway! What an achievement!
Is there a clean run from an observer in the entire video??
Thank you for the edit. Very nice for a school project. Tell your son i am impressed. Love aunti.
Congrats,
For these records it would be interesting to know the travel distance. That is almost more impressive than the time.
@@robato3991 Actually its not that easy, because you don't know the acceleration about time.
But I can say, it was round about 19m ;)
@@robato3991 that's not how it works
@@Zilz_unterstrich thx!
@@robato3991 distance in this case is (acceleration*time^2)/2, since the starting speed is 0
@@pc_screen5478 which only works for constant acceleration, which isn’t necessarily the case here :P
They've done it again!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRILLIANT
Really incredible vehicle, really frustrating video
from Barcelona, good Job!🏎️💨💨💨
Definition of anticlimax
Such poor cinematography, couldnt feel the quick 0-100 in the video at all
Because 100kph isnt quick at all and acceleration cant be filmed.
Lendas, grande grande!!! , Congrants from Portugal .
Kind of anti-climactic. Maybe a shot showing it go the whole distance from 0-60 would have better captured the excitement.
Congrats on the car, but you can promptly fire whoever made this video. You set a world record for acceleration and don't have a single clean mid distance shot of the uh, you know, accleration?
Hmmmm.....I get it but don't get it I guess...a...is it 0-60 spinning wheels or is it 0-60 in actual speed? Sorry I am confused I think it the way the video is put together? Help ha ha ha
Vehicle speed and its nor 60mph its 100kph.
Difference of around 0,2 seconds.
So 0-60mph would be around 1.2s
What a let down. The cinematography at the end gave no sense of speed.
It’s cool that everyone wants to hate lmfao. Y’all are beasts for this and I enjoyed the vid.
they didnt include an 1.5 sec unedited shot..m
@@realt0nse did you watch the same video I did because it looked to me like they included an unedited driver POV of the full launch.
Incredible achievement. Congrats from your friends at MAD! 😀
Please provide graph of speed vs time and acceleration vs time. :)
Extrem stark! Glückwunsch!
it only accelerated to 30kmh. How did it reach 100kmh? I dont see it in the video!
it's meters per second (about 300 cheeseburger per bald eagle, for americans)
You're refering to 1:27, right? It's m/s and not km/h. If you zoom into the picture, you can see the unit m/s under the number.
@@Zilz_unterstrich it does not look fast
I dunno, it looks really slow. (Pro tip: if you want to convey insane speed, don’t use slow motion on everything)
Congrats on the video editing.
Congratulations, but... It's hard to appreciate it from this video. A single static camera shot from a distance would have made it 10x more impressive.
Congratulations Greenteam! Awesome achievement!
can we see the run? from the outside. you know, that's the whole point
That is almost 2 g on average - insane
if this video was only 1.461s without all the edition bs would be so much better, anyway, great work fellas
Congrats from AMZ! Starke Leistung!!
Starke Leistung 🚀🏁
Prost Stuttgart
Next stop.. electric 1/4 mile record
that's a good challenge.
Amazing job. Auf gehts stuttgart!
Huge Respect!
Gratulation!
Amazing. How did you squeeze 1.4 seconds into a 1 min 56 second video?
Congrats!!!
GreenTeam still at it
Congrats!! But whoever edited this kind of failed, all we really want is uninterrupted shots of the acceleration happening in real time
Absolute mad lads. Unreal.
Well done!
Coole Kiste, Glückwunsch zum Rekord!
Also got the Guinness Book World Record for "most overproduced video that doesn't help convey its point."
From the dashboard it looks like it's launched from the slingshot
Nicely done. Would like to see what this beast can do 100-200.
As of now, it can’t because the gear ratio doesn’t allow going 200 km/h.
@@Black0Chief gears!? It’s electric
@@anaodaaldeia6159 it still needs gears... the car has a planetary gearbox
The length to actual time/distance video reminds me of the F&F movie's with their 5 minute 1/4 mile races...
I WILL NOT believe this until I see a static camera shot that has the entire run with no cuts, and no edits. I was expecting to see such a shot, but this entire content is seriously messed up. Is it intentionally done or the editor guy just went crazy?
1:27?
@@MJ-mw3ni the clip at 1:27 isn't as long as 1.46 seconds, then how?
@@Sleeperknot the clip is exactly the 1,4s long….
@@MJ-mw3ni the claimed run to 100kmph was done in 1.46s,m. The clip should be having some buffer too and considering the fps and all, so it should be slightly more than 1.46s, don't you think?
@@Sleeperknot why should it?
You see more than 28m/s on the dashboard and the clip is a bit longer than 1,4s :)
So awesome! The best engineering comes from Sttutgart! Congrats from Brazil.
Video starts at 1:14, save you the horror of watching the first two thirds of this thing
Doesn't seem like I share the opinion of the majority, but damn was that video cool ! Great renderings, amazing song choice, great slowmos, ... overall, 9.5/10, wished there was more of it!
Very impressive engineering! After watching the car with a fan on it to suck the car to the ground at Goodwood I wonder if such a modification would help you go even quicker? Or would the weight penalty be too much?
Ground effects helps in cornering, not acceleration
@@johngriffin4023 Ground effects when driving, yes, but with a fan you can get that benefit before you move off. You get the downforce but no extra weight. That downforce pushes the tyres in to the road surface giving you more grip, more friction working against the torque of the engines means you get off the line quicker.
Have a look at the fan car that was at Goodwood and see how quickly it launched off the line.
The car has fans for the described purpose. At around 1:15 you can hear them reving up, right before the launch.
@@theRoar1987 You made me go look at their website and now I see them! Thanks! They could probably do with making them stronger, the one at Goodwood you could see the car being sucked down.
Kudos green team😍🎉🎉
There is no video of it doing a 0-60 run. Just a Top Gear-esque montage.
1.17? ^^
Top , congratulations.
Teljesen élvezhetetlen film!
Heftige Leistung!! Glückwunsch
Incredible.
GG guys
So you’re showing the record acceleration using slowmo footage… I’m not sure about that…
Why would you include that much slow-mo footage of a world record speed event. It'd be like filming slow TV of 24 hours and then only showing a time lapse of 30 seconds of the whole event
It’s a tiny go-kart. I don’t see the point. A Tesla Plaid weighs 4,800 pounds and runs a 1.9 second 0-60 with seven seats and two sets of golf clubs.
I'm confused how this is a world record ... is it a record specific to an "electric" vehicle?
Because a top fuel dragster does 0-100MPH in 0.8 seconds (6G) in 20 meters of distance.
It is very impressive requiring a bucketload of effort/planning/design and kudos to the team!
It is idd a record for electric. Amazing effort from students!
When the editor feels like an artist, and the actual run is too profane to include fully...
Way to turn a 5sec clip into hard to watch 2min clip with bad music
Andy frost and Larry larson who both have had worlds fastest street legal cars will have something to say about that me thinks 🤣
I can’t almost understand how fast this vehicle is.
triitratralllalaaas wie sind schneller, ätsch bätsch! #ETH 😘
Wow!! Congrats!
This video could have been 1.461 seconds long.
