Even though it is inevitable as we see Old Man Rex, Wolffe and Gregor, the Rebel cell of Clone Troopers are gonna give one helluva fight against the Empire.
Let’s go!
I mean this doesn’t mean all the other Clones died. These Clones could go on to create the beginnings of the larger Rebellion across the Galaxy because they come to a realisation that despite being a strong force to be reckoned with (bc they’re Clones some of the best fighters in the Galaxy) it’ll take a lot more than their numbers to topple the Empire
Seeing the clones fight back is a thing of beauty. These soldiers will not go quietly into the night after everything they’ve sacrificed.
Im gonna ruin that for you.
The empire last for another 24 years...we dont see any of the clones except for rex in Rebels...
THEY ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion even if they die it's still cool to see them fight back
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion he says they wont go quietly, which they wont
FOR THE REPUBLIC *dies to a wrist rocket after 12 years of training 12 seconds into combat* every mans dream
Hurrah
If you really look at it, the lifespan of the clones has been a lifetime war the four years of the clone wars gave them all the practice they needed for asymmetrical warfare. They were always fighting, a numerically superior enemy, had to always adapt, and always usually being the smaller guy on the field. Palpatine‘s greatest mistake so far is underestimating how many clones were willing to become for a lack of a better term, domestic terrorists.
Very good point. The battles of Umbara and Anaxes fully showcase this idea.
Crosshair, “Good soldiers follow orders!”
Post Order 66, “I regret it already.”
Rest of Clone Force 99: "Took u that long to figure out 🙄."
Plan 88.
Imagine fighting an enemy who’s seasoned in many conflicts, has literally trained your current forces on how to fight, and to top it all off they were specifically designed to be the perfect soldiers. The empire really messed up on that one
@Homer They were way more outnumbered during the clone wars.
If memory serves correct, in legends commander Cody was tasked with training the new recruits of the empire. However, he found them to be infuriating due to how slowly they took to becoming better soldiers. Be it with target fire practice or physical exercise drills. He considered them to be inferior to the clones, who we know were genetically altered to bring out better results
Scapegoats. Papa Palpatine is shown to rely on a bit of controlled chaos in order to solidify control and maintain his leash on the galaxy. He's beloved and trusted by most(humans usually) because he's seen as a great defender and even as a provider, it fosters absolute loyalty to him and his vision.
Its only when that chaos is not in his control that he involves himself in rectifying the matter, as with Maul and Savage. As with his offer to Luke.
Palpy was playing hundreds of simultaneous chess games in his head, so to speak, and he intended to win all (or most) of them. Odds are against him winning all of them, and some of those losses were a bit more important than others, which voided out several wins.
@@warmox1215 That's incredibly true but remember the only reason the fact there were so heavily outnumbered was never pressed due to global militias and the fact it was a manufactured war, intended to not crush the republic but to sweep away freedoms. Lots of parralels to the middle east if you think about it.
🇺🇸
My guess is, they didn't change the codes because they were so engraved in the republic military, which the empire inherited, that to change them would case too many problems the empire didn't want to deal with. They had no reason to change them... at least then. However, by return of the jedi, it appears that the empire realized keeping these codes was a bad idea and might have started to phase them out with new ones. But with a massive empire, it won't change over night so when a shuttle came to drop off supplies and techs on the forest moon of Endor they could still get clearance even though they were using these older codes. They still check out.
I'm honestly so worried just given the fact that we know Rex ends up on a random-ass planet in the outer rim with Gregor and Wolf, so their little clone resistance probably isn't gonna last
season 2 of the bad batch has been severely underrated. they are answering so many questions about the clones that I have always wanted to know. season 1 was ok, but this season has been incredible.
Agreed bit the filler episodes could be better
Season 2 should be called "The Bad Batch: Return of the Clone Army," (or something to that effect.)😉😄
@@skyden24195 how about “the clones strike back”?
@@user-wu6kj3yk3i how about “the attack of the clones v2”
@@user-wu6kj3yk3i that would probably be better than "return" since the clone army never did actually return, but evidently, they are seeking to strike back.
I see this as a bigger problem since you have units like the bad batch no longer under control. Even ten years in the future this is a problem since they can still be used to train the next generation of rebels. The rebel commandos won't be nearly as good or well equipped but they'll be unpredictable and good at improvising which is even more dangerous. On top of that some of the clones that left could still work as mercenaries before transitioning to some other related field of assistance.
At least it will be a fitting legacy for the clones to pass on what they had learned to the first generation of rebels.
It’s kind of fitting that the clones from the Grand Army of the Republic pass on their legacy to the soldiers that’d go on to create the New Republic.
I’m still concerned about the whole thing as from what we know in rebels, some clones were able to officially retire, if Rex was a part of the revolution he would have been flagged and terminated not recruited back or brainwashed back
He was originally marked KIA.
maybe rex is never captured and they all have different armor that they used during the rebellion or something like that
Maybe at the end of this season. Mt. Tantis and its experiments will get exposed in the Senate via Senator Chuchi, as we have seen her already being in contact with Rex. During this Palpatine will make an appearance and use this incident as way to get rid of Hemlock and at the same time accepts Chuchi's request to give the clones retirements benefits.
@@shariqhasan6220 plus, it seems that the assistant, who has been conducting interrogations on Crosshair under Imperial orders, she may have more sympathy for the plight of the clones than she lets on to her superiors. I believe she may, eventually, have a significant impact in helping the rise of a clone rebellion, if not a re-evaluation of how to treat the clones in order to deescalate the threat thereof.
@@skyden24195 Well you were right
It's ironic that the empire would be so incompetent early on that they basically handed the alliance the perfect instructors to train their forces.
It's pretty funny how the Empire didn't feel like giving the clones pensions when they literally would've died in 10-15 years of old age anyways lol
Tbf the empire was suffering a budget issue with having recently fought in a large scale war, the costs for its military restructure, and not to mention them rolling out the imperial era ships as well as Palpatine's obsession with moon shaped satellites. So the empire not wanting to pay for pension plans make some sense what doesn't make sense is how little the empire had in place to keep the clones occupied with once retired
I want to see more focus on the clone rebellion and less treasure hunts. I love seeing the Clones fighting against the Empire, it’s so damn cool.
As much as a side-show the treasure hunts are, they may be, or become, more important to the Clone rebellion than has been thus far indicated. Take, for example, the Bad Batch deciding after one of these treasure hunts to break off ties with Cid and end up on that remote island water-world, which may or may not serve as a base of operations, if not a rendezvous/rallying point-location.
Yea, the treassure hunts are a complete waste of episodes. Some are decent but most are filler. Bad batch is great but would have been amazing if more episodes were like ep 12 and 14(Mainly all episodes with crosshair).
Sir Francis Drake was a British Admiral in the Spanish British war. His discovery of the Sir Francis Drake channel lead to the defeat of the Spanish armada. As a reward, Queen Victoria knighted him and then basically fired him. Given that Drake and his men knew nothing but naval warfare for 20 years, they applied their skills as pirates. Funnily enough the British never took their flags back. Leading to unsuspecting British ships to get into boarding range and not knowing it until it was too late.
This seems too similar to be a coincidence.
That’s really cool
the clones are like having an entire army of navy seals
Nice profile picture
Rex ended up as a Captain. He was promoted to Commander, but Jesse demoted him.
If even as little as 5% were to rebel, they would do catastrophic damage in a short time. I don't think they'd last long but while they were operating on their own, they'd be devastating.
I thought that the Empire’s plan after seeing the Crosshair episode was to kill the clones off via hazardous deployments. They don’t have to give any concessions to the clones nor retire them, and they still get to serve until they run out of clones
If anything, the end of season 2 might led to the rebellious clones to discover about the project to clone the Zillo Beast and since they have no idea about the Death Star, they will most likely viewed an army of Zillo Beasts under the Imperial control as the galaxy's greatest threat. And they decided put a stop to this project once and for all.
I could just imagine that the island from the latest bad batch episode became a safe haven for clones and then the empire launched an assault on the island and then the clones banded together to help evacuate the island and then had a final stand lead by howtzer as they bombared island
I like the fan theory that Rex would ultimately go on to be the one bearded man seen in the assault on Endor's surface.
Now why they would give command to a smuggler who was just thawed from carbonite, instead of an experienced commander, I have no idea.
Nick Sant is Rex! Dave Filoni confirmed it
We know in the end the clones fail to make a dramatic impact, otherwise they would have figured in the movie series. Their story has to end in tragedy, in order to maintain continuity.
Not necessarily. Who trains and equips the early effective rebel cells? Clones are uniquely positioned to help organize and prepare the rebels for at least the first fifteen years of the Empire.
This is why the Kaminoan Clone Rebellion from Legends is awesome. Would be nice to see a version of that now in canon.
I’m really enjoying The Bad Batch and hope that you do more videos on the clones. I’m especially curious about Omega and what her her purpose is. Between this show and Andor I’m fascinated learning the stories of non-force users and how they lived and fought for the Rebellion.
I think her pure fett Dan is still sought after
Dna
@@GenerationTech Why aren't they hunting down Boba Fett then? No mention of that. If they were doing it off screen, Boba would/should have known (you know, from being hunted), so why he would still agree to take jobs/contracts with the Empire? Seemed like he was making a name for himself even during the Clone Wars, so it shouldn't have been too hard to track him down.
There actually were a few mentions in legends of clone rebellions. They were generally crushed and burried though
Coincidence? I think not. The idea and practice of continuing codes and protocols from the Clone Wars era Galactic Republic to the Imperial and Galactic Civil War era is consistent with something that had just recently been discussed by the UA-cam channel of "Oceanliner Designs" in which it is discussed the reason why a "modern" ocean liner (i.e., the RMS Titanic) would see its helmsman be ordered to turn hard-over to port in order to turn the ship starboard. That reason being that in the eras preceding the age of steam-powered shipping, (perhaps even the latter days of sail,) in order to turn a ship, (for example to the left,) the rudder's tiller had to be pushed to the right in order to move the rudder in the opposite direction so as to be able to maneuver the ship in the coinciding direction (left.) By the time steam engines had been developed and the helm wheel was mechanically improved to not only enable a single person to turn a massive ten-story, multiple-ton-weighing rudder, but also be able to turn the wheel in the same direction as desired of the ship, the doctrine of ordering a helm turn to port in order to change the ship's direction to starboard had been established for so long that changing the protocol would likely cause more problems than solve. This same concept can be applied to the transfer of protocols and procedures from the Galactic Republic era to the Imperial Era.
I know legends Star Wars cared for the clones a lot of even updating there armor to phase 3 aided by side with the imperial navy commando but they ended being phased out due to the true clone rebellion that happened on kamino , just imagine phase one clone troopers with green markings and some arch troopers vs imperial stormtroopers and some of them where the 501 so clone on clone war
Considering that in Rebel, we only saw Rex, Wolf and Gregor, I can't help to think the clone rebelliation last for long... Either that or whatever remained of them, 99% of them just literally retired or stayed in hiding on some remote planet.
I mean had the remaining clones had official joined the Rebel Alliance, they probably wouldn't has struggle so much as seen in the Rebel shows and in Rogue One film!
Like Rex I am at what my teacher used to describe as his "Ideal fighting weight" which is "Too fat to f@%king run!"
I waited for a new video to like and subscribe. Please forgive me, I have loved you videos for years, but just learned all that stuff helps you. I appreciate your efforts.
I am old ( I saw all 9 movies in the theater), so I didn't know! Please keep them coming!
I big portion of me is hoping that the clone network is based on the island paradise planet so they can live out peaceful lives if they choose not to fight
Same here. But I also hope that they don’t, because that’ll bring the Empire’s attention to Pabu, and then they’ll destroy it.
@The Texan Jedi for what ever it's worth, I just hope Disney does the Disney thing and just let's them live happily ever after. I dont think it'd be too far fetched for some hacking to be done and to either mark all of the clones as KIA or remove Pabu from the maps
I’m just surprised that the empire let Gregor (a clone with brain damage) train recruits.
Hey, the man's good at what he does, why not?
@@occam7382 because the empire is all about perfection especially when it comes to stormtroopers (the empires so-called elite troopers.)
@@Squiddy-go1du, (shrug). Maybe they just wanted as many commandos as possible. Who knows? I don't.
As far as Rex being a bit old , youth and exuberance always loses to old age and treachery .
i hope the bad batch season 2 finale shows the bad batch helping all the clones that are i prison on mount tantiss escape and start the clone rebellion
This is the best channel
That a lot of the individuality of the clones were due to interactions with the Jedi always struck me as poetic. All and all Palpatine’s victory against the Jedi was severely incomplete.
Imagine if the Clones managed to liberate a small Clone Wars Era Republic Battle Group.
I'm glad to see other veteran clones, we've all seen the clone captains, commanders, and jedi but very little of other veteran clones, I'm glad to see others take the stage, the star wars series has unfortunately greatly overlooked the countless other battle hardened clones. The bad batch series developers and writers seem to be fixing this oversight, I hope it continues. I would love to see teams of skilled clones rebelling against the empire.
I think we may find out that there was a mass clone rebellion. But, that the Empire dealt with it so brutally, that it was covered up. It might of become such a problem that they sent in Vader.
I don't think the Empire would resort to sending in Vader to deal with the clones, considering that he's still busy with the Inquisitorius during this time, and hunting down Jedi survivors.
@@spiderboy43 It really just depends on how serious it was IMO. Jedi or not, Vader was the emperors WMD essentially. If it was a situation that his pawns couldn't handle. The nuke that was Vader would be sent in. I could see Vader fist the 501st being sent in at the very least. clone on clone violence, brother vs brother.
I have a feeling that the clones rebelling will be an inspiration to those on the fence about their feelings for the Empire.
I suspect this may just end with Palpatine deciding it's easier to give the clones a pension after all then to have them rise up and rebel. If I recollect when Wolfe called the empire in Rebels the empire wasn't "Holy Poop! Clone insurgents" they were like "oh... We got a message from a clone"
I could see the Clone Rebellion being almost completely annihilated only to have Vader show up and order the rebelling clones be spared.
You mention at about 8:56 that there was no mention of a mass clone rebellion...perhaps. By this point the Empire was well on its way to controlling the means of communications and was spinning "news" in such a way that it could have been happening and the wider galaxy never realized it was going on. While it wasn't in the Legends lore, perhaps it's something that we will see added to Mouse lore?
I would think that a lot of things could be passed off as "Separatist holdouts" or other malcontent types, because if it became known that the clones were being screwed over, that could generate sympathy on the worlds that the clones liberated or defended.
One last thought...we don't hear much, if anything, about the clones in eps 4-6...what happened to them? Perhaps they left for the Unknown Region sometime ~10 BBY. This would keep them out of the Thrawn books... just a wild, and probably wrong, off the wall thought.
Very good thought
Loyalty that is rewarded with destitude is inevitably going to be met with retaliation.
As the Sith subversives who took over the galactic republic comes to learn
I wanna see gregor vs scorch
“Officially there was never a Clone Rebellion…”
Oh there will be.
There will never be once all (but Rex, Gregor, Wolffe, and Boba Fett) are dead and numbered….
No matter what happens, it’s most likely that a sizable percentage, possibly even the majority, of clones will remain with the empire, fading away within the Stormtrooper corp.
Some believe that there’s going to be this wide scale revolution and purge that sees virtually every clone fired and/or killed. While I’m more than fine with clone rebellion, I don’t support nor even believe things will go that extreme.
Loved your videos before but once you name dropped Foreign Internal Defense (FID) that Kenobi, Skywalker, Ahsoka, and Rex conducted on Onderon let me know you did your homework and know your stuff when it comes to military tactics and doctrine! Appreciate that so much
Really hope like the finale episode of the bad batch is going to be like a clone rebellion type of battle.
Where only a few clones survive, omega lives but the bad batch die off.
"season 3" is not beyond the realm of possibility.
The thing I think would be wild would be we find out that the clones are on alderaan where are organa puts them for safekeeping and as instructors training a new army.
I think it’d be interesting to see a Halo Wars 2 Banished situation, where the Empire were behind the scenes fighting a 2 way war, a more open propaganda driven front against the mainstream Rebel Alliance, but on the other hand a guerrilla warfare type situation against the clones where it’s not so wide scale but they’re winning a lot more battles against the Empire
But, about the codes Rex and Cody invented, its said in season 1 of Bad Batch, that all the clone codes are invalid. Was that for the base in the episode, or just classic SW era hopping storytelling?
It kind of reminds me of The Force Unleashed a little bit with Galen Marek being the catalyst for the Rebel Alliance. The clones are both the catalyst to the strength of Palpatine’s empire and its downfall. Except maybe more pragmatic than TFU considering the canon.
I love that bad batch is making Rex more of a rebel I'm the beginning makes him knowing the codes more believable
"Watch out everyone, they're gonna stun us death!"
😂
It’s an older code, sir, but it checks out.
I'm a bit annoyed by it that there are no good in-universe reasons for the Empire to completely discard the clones instead of continuing to use them as stormtroopers. It would have made a really interesting story if the Kaminoans had prevented the destruction of their civilization by telling the clones: "Execute Order Zero!" You know, a super secret code that makes the clones abandon the Empire and fight for the Kaminoans instead. That would have caused a genuinely dangerous situation for the Empire and given a good reason for Palpatine to create a completely new army. Also, it would be completely in character for the Kaminoans to think of such a precaution.
I'd say that imperial officers aren't being derisive of clones as they are being in a bad light as much as it's how the clones had loyalty while imperial officers were more "dog eat dog" mentality
Hey on the next video you should do is what is the separatist had human and near human soldiers
i think those clones from the lastest bad batch ep are going off into the dark trooper program
The clones could’ve had in the private security sector that would’ve helped with maintaining stability in the outer rim.
I have a feeling Vader is the reason the clone rebellion is no more 😰😰😰
The sad thing is that we see going forward in the timeline that the Clones themselves are completely forgotten by the galaxy, all the galaxy remembers is the war but not those who fought in it. They will make an honourable stand against the Empire but there is no defeating the Empire at this time, its too big and too strong for them to come out winning.
They will suffer a massive defeat in the Clone Rebellion that it will break them, if someone like Rex gave up the fight then it must be devastating because Rex is not the type to give up, not after all he has been through and lost......So what happened at the Clone Rebellion must have struck him to his core scarring him more than Order 66 did.
All we can hope is that some of the Clones we have come to love and cherish are able to survive the Empire and just live their lives free from their tyranny. Maybe some do join Rebel Cells to train them to fight the Empire but until that fateful battle at Scarif there is no turning the tide yet.
Sith vs Jedi is like a 4000 year blood Feud. There’s no rationale when it comes to destroying your enemies
Alright, now i wanna see a clone army of Keanu Reeves
To be honest i am suprised that Palpatine did not build in a fail safe in the form of a biological weapon specifically targeted to Jango Fett DNA and simply released it having the clones die due to a "mysterious" disease once their usefulness is at an end.
What do you think Mount Tantiss is doing? In the last episode Crosshair had a gassed used on him that knocked him out, but it didnt work on the Director.
I’d like to imagine an ending scene involving the elder troopers looking proudly upon the first uniformed regular rebel alliance troopers standing in formation. Maybe include some details of military traditions and battle cries to be carried for when the war officially comes. This proposed scene would serve as the farewell transition, one where the franchise recognizes the retirement of the clones being featured as the soldiers of democracy before the next generation of soldiers who are just as eager to fight for the rightful cause. The scene will go black before you hear a collective…
“FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!”
I think the clone group is more of a rescue operation to get as many clones out from imperial occupation as possible rather than it being a rebellion. Which would have it disband once they got most of the clones out.
I did often wonder why the clones we're not
fighting with the rebels.
I think this really speaks volumes about Palpatine's arrogance. When it comes to the Jedi, he couldn't really deny their power since they had forced the Sith into hiding for a thousand years, and that forced understanding made him act more strategically. But as soon as it came to areas where he wasn't forced to think about things he seems to routinely underestimate them. After all, he, the grand master of the dark side -made- the clone army, surely he would know if they were a threat, surely he would be so terrifying that no rebel cells would dare stand up to him, surely these rebels would be too weak against his mighty death star that he's safe personally building his office on in and having it exposed in a giant tower on the surface.
Palpatine's greatest enemy wasn't the Jedi, like so many other Sith before him, it was his own arrogance.
Clones must not of passed on the standing in the open part but to the troopers on space ships the ground forces used cover wherever they could
Reminds me of how the Vietnam vets led to an increase in paramilitary violence in the US like weather underground
Honestly I am amazed anyone signed up for the military after seeing how the clones were treated.
I can only imagine there's going to be a moment where the mass murder millions of clones to stop and uprising. I mean, if Palpatine can organize the extinction of thousands of Jedi who are on edge about the Sith, just imagine how fast he could kill clones that aren't aware of how much he truly despises them.
It's not just CF99 it's all of the fett clones, the bad batch
The Clones might have been another, if small reason, why the Empire abandoned most capital ships. Sure, knowing operational codes helps to infiltrate Imperial installations and ships, but the damage they can do is limited. If the crew a Star Destroyer notices an infiltration, the sheer number of Stormtroopers on board dooms them. Not to mention that the clones know little on how to get around in one. Sure, they might do that better than a Rebel that was never on a military ship, but it will still be limited. But a Clone that can teach others how a Venator or Acclimator is build and works in detail? A nightmare.
And there is one question. What would a Venator mean for the Rebellion and others? A priceless mobile Base that can threaten the workings of an entire sector if they station fighters and bombers with a hyperdrive. One Venator could sent out several attacks at the same time. Depending on the size of the opposition a Venator can send out up to 40 attacks with 10 fighters or bombers at the same time. If used correctly, the Empire would not be able to find the Venator, but it would bind a lot of Imperial resources.
A single Clone could plan the attack, lead an infiltration team that temporarily disables a few key systems and lead an assault to take over a Venator. Repair the disabled systems and gone is the ship.
Remember I said it's a small actor, but it meshes well with the Emperor's 'bigger is better' mentality and the Tarkin doctrine.
So Rex was made a commander and unofficially demoted and since it wasn’t on record he likely would’ve been KIA as a commander.
I am a big Clone Trooper fan especially my favorites are Rex, Wolffe, Cody, Bly, and Fives! I would be Commander Wolffe!
Imagine all those clones who survived long enough to join luke and leah, my God it wouldve been republic vs separatist all over again but this time only like clones worth the size of the 501st for example.. but it would've still been a force to be reckoned with

Had the clones had independent thought from the beginning without the chips. Palpatine and his, would not have lasted long.
Great vid . Been watching for a while ...
In this week's bad batch ...I find that there is no story for the clone commandos...
I thought clone commandos would have a more tactical commandos authority during combative. But the clone commando who was aborad the imperial froghter that was transporting clones seems to be taken out pretty quick....
Descension along the clone commandos would be a better filler episode than Riot Racing and Cid ....
Yeah I’ve been kind pissed off how the clone commandos are being portrayed. I might do a video aboht it
Yo. Isn't that blond dude with the beard in the assault party on Endor canonicaly Rex though???
They weren’t blond they were white haired, and according to people yes it was.
Ngl, I knew the First Order had tried to replicate what the clones were trained to be but the way they did it was of course not the same as the original. Not to mention they were even less of team players than even the original empire.
The clones will always remain as my favorite faction 👁
Um Rex isn’t an ARC trooper that was a legends story.
Isn’t the Darksaber shorter than a standard saber? That’s too long.
I believe the Clone rebellion will open the door and lead the way for the Rebels and ultimately be responsible for their success.
The Empire is likely to not acknowledge a full-scale rebellion in any capacity. It didn't even do it with the actual rebellion. And the thing is, the Clones are a ticking time bomb for the empire just as much as they were for Palpatine and the Jedi. The ticking time bomb is them realizing they are a slave army, and will eventually flat out refuse orders. At this point, we've seen a clone called "Wilco" refuse an order from a superior. Wilco is short for Will Comply. That clones entire personality was complying with orders that his brothers gave him that name, and he REFUSED an order that he thought was wrong.
Tarkin is correct in a New Hope, by that point they had swept away all vestiges of the Old Republic. Those vestiges also include the Clones, because Clones are soldiers of a "shining" democracy, and not an authoritarian empire, they're too honorable and un-corruptible to fit into Imperial society.
I think, the clones that got left behind, ended up meeting the bad batch at some point.
I love your mum tbh 🥰🥰🥰
i don't want to see these clones i've grown to know and love over the seasons we've had with them get slaughtered i think i'd be heartbroken
The Empire might be making a song and dance about decommissioning the clones in the more populated areas of the Galaxy, but face it -- the ass end of the Outer Rim's still going to get "used" equipment for a long time to come, including clone troopers. Not to mention there are *still* all the clones-in-training, the younger ones were were still kids when the cloning program was cancelled. I think it's far more likely that most clones will be reassigned to the Outer Rim (and maybe Thrawn manages to recruit a few legions' worth to the Unknown Regions) -- out of sight of the more snobby Imperials. Why waste perfectly good military personnel after all?
I think that would be cool if the clones train the rebels
Rex *should* be a Commander; unless they made it an informal thing (which i doubt, they specifically said they'd promote him, not just put him in charge; i like to believe that Captian Vaughn took Rex's original role) he died before anyone could demote him. It *might* be that his promotion wasn't gone through yet *officially* but for all intents and purposes Rex should be Commander Rex. Especially if Vader never found out he removed his chip.
OR The Empire went to great lengths to suppress any knowledge of a clone uprising to the point where hardly anyone would’ve known
I question the extent if there was a clone rebellion seeing that Rex and Gregor weren't wanted criminals by the empire. You would think a clone rebellion would mark all clones as a target. Thats something the empire would do.
