Never had a composition take this long to “pop” for me, before completely falling head over heals for it. Musk Lave twisted me up 180 degrees and now I’m completely floored by it. Incredible!

Wanted to point out if I may that a dark perfume never stain white cloth if applied from a distance. Please watch my video on that subject where I heavily sprayed very dark perfume my white shirt and it was not stained at all.

Musk lave is good fragrance, and easy to wear, but the design of the bottle I prefer the design of war and peace.
This is a brilliant video - I was quite sceptical about this house before your videos, as it just seemed to be too obscure for its own good (expensive, hard to get, high shipping costs!) but you've really made me want to try them! They sound wonderful, and it was great to see how they'd developed over 3 hours. Really great reviews, and you've made them seem quite accessible. Musk Lave sounds amazing! I don't fancy the one that stains your clothes brown though!
For me, they're a very special house. Perhaps not for everyone, but I think Russian Adam is doing very special work.

I didn't get the sample set in time but judging from your review I'll probably be going fro Musk Lave and Santal Galore... these were the ones that were initially appealing to me so you've made it quite clear...

The 3 hour updates were wonderfully useful guys. Definitely keep up the format in future vids.
We did it for Areej last time. I don't think you can give enough of an impression from 'just' the first sniffs. Really, fragrances like this need MUCH more wearing to understand.

Another great review video guys big fan on the 6th collection I was real lucky managed to grab a complete collection on release was chuffed all blind bought so yeah but the disaster all European orders got confiscated by customs in the states I believe , Adam relased
Sorry to continue.adam released a video explaining the whole fiasco to end my drawn out tale of woe he never should have bothered going to other distribution points cause I,today just got stung for 280 euro by Dhl and customs to get my package released gotta be honest hope their as good as you guys think but this extra cost today and hassle has dulled my enthusiasm in afraid 😱

Yes, with a new brand, especially all natural, I would test on card, then clothes, then a small skin area.

Can’t comment on Areej le Dore but my bottle of Waft from the Loft arrived today and I’m thoroughly enjoying the first spray.

It's hard to judge Areej against Areej I think Santal Galore could be like a gateway drug to those who haven't found it yet, it's the most mainstream. As one to wear on skin Musk Lave is my favourite so far, but Agar De Noir is growing on me, Grandenia is the most feminine I think. But if I got any of them I'd definitely be pleased. After watching your video it made me realize you don't really need Cuir De Russie if you already have War & Peace, great video thank you😊

@@WaftsfromTheLoft Bizarrely enough, I have not had the opportunity yet. Since 1,5 weeks the parcel is stuck in a DHL cabinet with technical issues that make it impossible to open remotely. Apparently a technician have to make the three hour drive from Stockholm to open it manually, when now that will happen...

I got the sample set and it has blown me away, no one is doing what Russian Adam is doing. All of them take you on a journey, history, time and art in a bottle. Cuir de Russie is absolutely incredible, I put it on my jacket and I couldn't stop smelling it all day.
True works of art. I own several of his creations. Most from the second series, which I'll treasure forever!

Question for you two...do you think this collection feels like ALD? Everything I’ve had my nose on from 1-5 feels like ALD but not the 6th collection. I can’t figure out what it is but they feel like a different perfumer altogether. Do you guys get that too?
All of the collections have varied quite a lot, especially the last two. Musc Lave is very different from anything else by ALD. Agar de Noir feels the most familiar, with a strong connection to Oud Picante and Oud Luwak. We've often said that you get a big punch of ingredients showing themselves with ALD, and perhaps that punch is not as big here.

I hear Agar de Noir has some Spicy, amber-y notes. Kafka hinted it resembled Ambre Loup in a way. I’m so intrigued by it.
Yes, there is a relation to Amre Loup. AL always reminds my of Russian Oud
Does Musk Lave have any similarity with bogues mem? Wich one do you prefer?
On paper, you'd expect them to be VERY similar, but strangely they are quite different. The similarity I would point out is that although they are quite simple fragrances, a lot is going on! At this stage, I know MEM much better, and I can't really say which I prefer. I do know that I need to own them both.
On my skin, musk lave dries down with a lot of sandalwood, it reminds me of santal complet from fragrances du bois

I bought the whole collection. But I’m still waiting for the sample set
I’ve contacted the House of Le Dore, and they told me that the sample sets have completely sold out. In fact, they are concerned that they won’t be able to fulfill the orders that were already placed. Quite the conundrum. This means I will have to blind buy, which I hate. Which of these 5 fragrances would you recommend? Which of these lean more feminine? Thanks in advance.

That’s not true. They’ve fulfilled all orders so far. Just be patient they will have more samples available most likely.

We're lucky we got to sample first! As we said, in the past, by the time people received samples all the full bottles were sold out! So, at least they are trying to make this easier on the consumer. I think they had 1000 sample sets available.
Musk Lave is far and away my favorite, too.

I'm experiencing the set. Santal Galore blew me away. I just wasn't ready for what hit me. Not a sandalwood that fits the stereotype. With all of these, it'll be interesting to see what develops in the bottle over the next few years. Thanks for a fabulous episode..

Yes. And also Musk Lave. If you wear SG on one arm and ML on the other, and smell ML first, the SG smells very rosy and floral. As a woman, I love both. As a child, my mother had a lacy fan carved out of sandalwood that I loved,....and broke....

Yes, there's definitely a relation once the coffee kicks in. Also, Oud Picante.
I have chosen CoR for notes and style, the heart with rose, jasmine, violet along with birch tar and musk make up the most classic composition in the collection, vintage materials for the most vintage perfume in the collection. I didn't smell the other 4 and bought CoR blindly. And yes, I'm going to use it on my skin, a cloth is not going to do justice to the pefume in my opinion

@@WaftsfromTheLoft I already have my bottle and I can only say that it is not what I expected, I have to be honest. I hope this changes in the bottle somehow. From what I've seen and read nothing in this collection seems to be what it is. Last time I blindly bought a modern. In vintages I know that two and two are four, with modern ones I feel that is not the case. Btw, Sofd is Bois des Iles the vintage cologne, obviously it's not the extrait blend and concentration but there is certainly authentic Mysore in this edc of the 60s, I'm sure you'd like it. My fav surprised me as it was the one I was least expecting which was Gardenia, I liked Musk Lave I got quite a carrot seed vibe which I know isnt listed but it reminds me a lot of Loewe 001 Man but far better of course.
Likewise I've been singing it's praises. Grandenia is a must for me. It fills that summery white floral thing that I've been wanting that has some balls to it

Goodness what great reviews , could not afford a full bottle. I have been aching to smell the anointing oil of Charles 1 as discussed by Mandy Aftel 's "Essence and Alchemy"..time travel is the only solution !

This is his worst most boring collection yet. I’m beyond disappointed. The only one I like a lil is the Grandenia . I wish you ppl would stop hyping perfumes that are just crap. It makes your audience not trust you ever again.
I’m sorry you don’t like them. These are our honest reactions. It’s a first impressions, so it should be clear that they are honest. I went on to buy Musk Lave, and it’s one of my favourite purchases of 2020.
