That period between the mid 80s & mid 90s was a magical time for television, when commercials were colorful, artistic, & nonsensical, & Nickelodeon & MTV were at their peek of coolness.

Thank you for putting these up. idk why these old commercials are so amazing to me but I really appreciate what you're doing. I hope you realize how awesome what you're doing is to me and many other people.

Always loved the animated Bumpers ABC had in the 80s and 90s. Both 2D and the stop motion ones.

AH! More wonderful commercials! Mmm, and I certainly remember Pac Man pasta. My mother will sometimes ask me, "Do you remember when we'd get you kids Pac Man pasta?"

Looks like Entourage actor Kevin Connolly in the Nerf Unidentified Floppy Object commercial at 8:54 ...he has quite a NY accent in the commercial ---gives it character though

Yup! Egon is my fav too! It was he and the whole Ghostbusters franchise that got me into computers and tech work field. x3

Yup! Whoever owns the rights to these shows BETTER release them in BLURAY!! But really it would be nice to have them in far better quality. Ghostbusters was well done but I've noticed in some instances there is some quality issues because its on a DVD. As for other shows like Ducktales, Disney better get it together because they FAILED to release the missing sets.

Isinia Mosienko Most of these DVD sets of 80's cartoons just use the interlaced broadcast masters that aired on TV back then. For anything better in quality you have to go back to the original film elements and make new transfers. Who knows how many of these studios had the foresight to save film elements for cartoons intended to air on standard-def TV 30 years ago?

I damned agree with ya! It would be nice to see some if not most of the work they've done behind the scenes instead of just throwing the episodes on discs and thats it. It would also be nice to have the other cartoon series which only had 1 season such as the animated Robocop or Karate Kid series. Sure they were rather corny but its something we grew up with. Well at least Karate Kid IS on Netflix.

If it weren't for the fact that he was nine when this aired, I'd swear that Frankenstein's Monster in the Reese's ad was Bill Hader.

I'm guessing that kool-aid commercial was the first of their wacky wild campaign.

Heeeey, I just watched the source video for this a few days ago. I wish YT allowed for the complete videos intact because this was a good block.

aczilla Has nothing to do with youtube, it's my personal choice to keep these videos around 10-15 minutes long.

Around this time I favored NBC's and CBS's Saturday Morning lineup over ABC's. They had the better shows IMO, and I remember having to flick the channel back and fourth from CBS to NBC because Smurfs and Muppet Babies aired at the same time. Here's the Saturday Morning lineup from that time.

Odd this was during the "War on Drugs" considering how many of the first several commercials look like the production team was using some sort of contraband.
