- I wanted to shine some light on a very cool project today: STALKER ANTHOLOGY. It's still a work in progress, but perfectly playable in it's current state and a pretty fun experience.
ANTHOLOGY aims at bringing into STALKER Anomaly a lot of new storylines from other mods (Valley of whispers, Spatial Anomaly, base game questlines etc...) into a unified & expanded open world which is first quite the task, but a very interesting concept at the same time. Basically a bigger Anomaly open world, fully customizable, with a ton of new quests, NPCs and storylines to engage with. Pretty neat.

Oh ok, so do you know what's the "Shadow of Chernobyl" you can select in the stories? I saw it in the possible options and I thought it was the base game storyline.

There’s also a STALKER board game coming to Gamefound mid-June from Awaken Realms that looks amazing!
It really is about time that all the *Lost Alpha* maps were added into *Anomaly*
- Plus more mission variety / more dynamic NPC+Mutant spawns on the maps we DO know - We've all played through the present dynamic missions 100+ times!
+ There are still many little mods that I feel are essential to (but not included in) Anomaly - Like Faction ID / Slow-Healing Campfires / 1 knife-hit box smash / 1st Person body etc etc
The lost alpha maps in anomaly? Do they act as replacements or are they separate ?

Oh man please keep us in the loop when a more stable release becomes available, and especially when it gets GAMMA smashed into it! Playing GAMMA with storylines would be awesome!
This sounds very interesting, I always felt like Anomaly and GAMMA get really boring after the 3rd playthrough. Anthology looks very promising with all the new places and stories to explore!
As stated in the ModDB description they also added some (maybe all?) of the Lost Alpha maps. I always wished they were part of Anomaly and now they are.🤩 Stalker moding community is just awesome!
I really wish that STALKER: MISERY had this kind of open mod options variety! - I'd LOVE to see a MISERABLE ANOMALY mod! (perhaps with GUNSLINGER in there as well!)
ANOMALY is a fantastic mod, but STALKER: MISERY mod is my (Stalker flavoured) jam!
There's at least like 20 new locations and a lot of the original locations are changed
@@zetetick395 Anomaly is already build on top of Misery though? Anomaly is an improved version of Call of Misery, which is Call of Chernobyl with Misery integrated.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. A way to play the stalker series but with updated everything. I’m definitely getting this one
Perfect timing - I uninstalled it last night because it kept crashing when trying to start a game 😂 This is pretty much exactly what I have been waiting for for years - I reckon I can wait a while for it to be properly stable and fixed before I dive in - I’ve waited this long 😅

Yeah, about 5 hrs in and it's amazing, but borderline unable to progress because of random uncontrollable crashes. For reference, I've only been playing Valley of Whispers.
A dream come true for me would be for RTTNs story and all these maps to be added into regular anomaly.

This is something i have talked about for a while and I happy to hear someone is making it possible. I think GSC should have done a Stalker trilogy remastered for PC and even Xbox to get people ready for Stalker 2. It would have given them more time and they could have even outsourced it to another developer. This project sounds like the closest thing we will get to that.

I'd really like to get the storylines from this into GAMMA.
anomaly's and gamma storylines are more or less the same i.g a more bland version of soc's story
also they are no where near as good as the storylines of proper story's based mods like Spatial Anomaly
so i really see no point in adding them when they are not going to add much
no disrespect to the guys making gamma but that's the true

As someone who's always wanted to write for Anomaly, yet never had the skillset to make my own dialogues in code, ANTHOLOGY sounds like what I've always wanted for the mod, just with a bit more polish.

I have a biog problem with anthology, i just saw your vid and desided to give it a shot, but it seems there is no PDA map?? i seem to not be able to open it at all... only have a minimap, but that's it?? also reload won't work at all, only if i change the ammo type it will reload?
seems like a great idea! hoping there will be a more basic port of just the story mod integration and the method for picking them in the future, though - i always prefer to build addons in a game from scratch, and anomaly is no exception. either way, i hope development on this continues without too many problems!
It comes from Russian modding side, and for all their great oddball creativity - Russian mods rarely prioritize 'User Friendliness' (in the past, at least)

Dude, the story of the first 3 games (especially SoC) + the variety, survival aspects, difficulty, freedom and choice of weapons/outfits from GAMMA? This has been literally my dream ever since I first played Anomaly. I really hope this takes off.
I stopped playing anomaly because I got bored with free play mode, and story mode didn't have enough content for me to really consider it worth all the effort and grinding, so I eventually moved onto just playing the original SOC, then I started playing Radiophobia. I'm going to start playing anomaly again just for this mod, because Anomaly had all of the freeplay and gameplay elements I loved about Stalker, but this adds what I've been craving, well-written stories that still allow player freedom.
I think they only have CoP storyline working for now

This is AMAZING POTENTIAL and a true testament to the insane feats the STALKER community has with the way it can breathe life into this decades old game series
I do think I'll let this stew more for another year or so. Let the devs fix the bugs, let the community make their patches, and have the translation be polished. As much as I appreciate our Eastern European Modding Kings, I'm a filthy ESL speaker, and I definitely will be enjoying this once a solid English translation and proper bug fixes and stability are present
Overall, this is joyful news, and it makes me so optimistic for what new things are in store for us STALKER fans
So uhh whenever i try to apply the mods in JSGME, i get an alert saying "Enabling this mod *may* have adverse effects on your game."

I really like anthology so far, but i have been struggling against controllers. I have no problem against any other mutants except controllers. I have tried equipping gear with high psi protection, but it is still hard. Do you have any tips for handaling controllers.
All I want is anomaly with all of the old battle music able to be turned on
this sounds super interesting, playing the og soc questline in a modern stalker world would be super nice. iam going to wait for now though
he was talking about CoP not SoC, but if you want og soc updated with great gunplay and really good visual try Radiophobia 3, it doesnt get much better anywhere else.
There's SoC too, saw it in the options but I haven't tried it.
You made me remember I really need to try Radiophobia one of these days! Still havn't gotten around to it.

@@FirelixGaming Actually you might be right ahahh, there is a "shadow of Chernobyl" available in the options but apparently its not the base game story, but I'm not sure what it is exactly yet.

2:57 Can you please tell me what main menu mod is this? I'm trying to find a nice menu mod for base anomaly that is a bit consistent with the main trilogy AND supports MCM. The best one I could find was DeadEnvoy's menu but it doesn't support MCM (it says it does but it doesn't seem to work for me)

There's at least like 10+ new maps. Also actual story in anomaly. It's everything the video makes it out to be.
Little over an hour into Valley of Whispers and it's really good however the cutscene for when we actually go to the Valley has no subtitles but it's in russian. There is also a ton of translation errors like "Leaving the game" and "Leave the game" in the menu.
Just when I thought Anomaly had nothing else to offer me and was ready to uninstall it for a final time. Some crazy slav lads release another interesting project. Guess when I finish my Sin run in GAMMA I'm going to jump into this.

@@estoyaqui5386 Make more buildings accesable and expand it to the east so that you would not be forced to deal with duty if you want to go from Warehouses to Garbage. Maybe an anomaly field and remove some of the most annoying Burning Fuzzes around the map.
Also make soldiers in barracks relaxed. I don't like how they just stand against the walls all the time.

I did all you did and in the menu i have ui_mm_continue instead of Continue and all the starting positions have similar names, luke 'ui_st_east_cordon_savan'

If they could merge this with GAMMA that would be really interesting. New to STALKER, but have been playing a ton of GAMMA for months and finally beat Shadow of Chernobyl a couple days ago, working on Clear Sky now. GAMMA is still my preference gameplay wise and I love it to death, but it does lack quests or more so story so merging it with new narratives and areas would be amazing.

I keep getting this weird debug info on the screen when I spawn in, says what items I have equipped and other stuff, anyone know a fix for this?
Anybody else getting like 32 bit X-ray performance? Started the COP storyline and it stutters just like the original game does lol. Framerate is high too like you expect. Is it just because of the world populating in the beginning mixed with story scripts etc running?

*Update: I just needed more patience. Once that side of the world woke up my download commenced and has now completed. I wasn't sure if there were possibly an issue with my software or firewall.

So... I could pretty much install this on top on 1.5.2 upgraded Anomaly which is vanilla besides Companions dont die + BaS -mods...?
I would recommend going with a clean install of anomaly and following the instructions in the video because the mod is new and isn't exactly stable when it comes to compatibility with other addons
Somebody should implement DrX Call to the Zone to Anomaly.
At the beginning of a playthrough you could choose: Vanilla Anomaly, DrX or one of the storydriven Mods.
thats the only thing missing from Gamma - a good storyline and immersive quests
how do you remove the clock in the top left?
For me trying to play any of the stories i get ctd as soon i press start and the game is supposed to load.
Still better translation than NZK project, which is really promising - hundreds of quests from Dead Air Revolution, Rebalance and NLC (which is like biggest ShoC mod on par with OP2).
It's only partially translated, sadly. And likely abandoned?

You're asking it the wrong way, it's does GAMMA works on top of Anthology :)
Some people were working on it (there's a discussion on the GAMMA discord), but it's on standby right now waiting for a more stable anthology update. So maybe in the future yeah!

I am so desperate to see playthroughs of the campaigns. I am playing them all but hitting critical bugs, get in touch with me if you have made progress or finished one of them. This is currently my favourite way of playing modded stalker, but it's not quite finished. I am DYING to have more and to have it work consistently

So I've played this mod for last two days now and I have to say that it is not that good in my opinion. I like the idea of Anomaly engine being used because it gives a lot of new stuff but mods that I played were too short to fully use Anomaly features like weapon repair etc. Also since this is still work in progress, mods are not fully translated and quality of translation is not that great. Some of the features of Anomaly like Disguise system can crash game to desktop (Valley of Whispers).Still this mod needs a lot of time to be really good. I would rather suggest playing these mods in their original form

Hmm its hard to compare, both are very different.
Anthology is more of an 'extended' anomaly... OP2.2 is pure, amazing, overbloated slav craziness

Just played a bit of OBT (open beta test) with patch 9 and Polish translation. It's really nice, but after playing a bit and finishing Brain Scorcher I've encountered "Not enough IDs" which pretty much means this playthrough is doomed. You have some tasks from original trilogy (covering Lefty in the factory at Yantar) or anomalous wheel for Beard. I still don't understand what's the deal with artifacts missions from medic/mechanic - you pick both artifacts and it's mission failed? Oh yeah - these and other missions from earlier versions of Escape from Pripyat are here. That includes "goods exchanges" between 2 factions.
My JSGME crashes when I try to enable ANTHOLOGY
EDIT: It works now, but when I try to start the game I get error about missing RPG7 model

This mod is a great idea, went and downloaded it as soon as I watched this video. That said, most of the storylines are basically unplayable. Totally plagued by game-breaking bugs preventing your progress. I know this mod just came out, but it seems to me there is a LOT of work to be done before it actually works.
Yep i ended up to the same conclusion, super excited about it on paper, but let's wait for A LOT of updates :D

No only Call of Pripyat, sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought SoC was in it too but its just a misleading translation.

@@dam8976 I would do unspeakable things to get the original trilogy playable in anomaly. That would literally be the PERFECT stalker experience for me

Nope, only call of pripyat apparently, but there's some other story mods in it as well

This is why I don't play modpacks, is there a difficulty addon for it? Also bugs me that you get a modding platform then all the good content comes in modpacks that prevent further modding to taste, there's so many weird mods I love.
Played The way through the Fog - Savan for 2 hours and i can feel that i am not a fan of running around Cordon
