it weren't for MaximumAggro videos, guides and live's , I would have hit my head against a wall a long time ago, the game is good but very frustrating.
IMPORTANT TIP: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UPGRADE YOUR WEAPONS OR ARTIFACTS PAST TIER 5!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE ARTIFACTS OF BLUE RARITY OR RARER!!! Explanation: In Stalcraft, end game players do not meet newbie players. The servers divide players according to their kill/death ratio, their gear (be it blue (stalker), pink (veteran), or red (master) level), hours played, artifact rarity and tier, weapon tier, hours spent in game. Nobody knows how this server division works exactly. The devs don't publish this info just in case to avoid speculators and such. When upgrading your weapons beyond tier 5 (and artifacts), there is a chance you may by accident be thrown onto servers with players with higher rarity weapons. Before reaching the North locations you might even be happy because you'd be able to get more loot; however, when you'll reach Northern locations with your veteran level weapons and without a good artifact combination you'd be meeting players in full master gear with crazy artifacts. And you won't be able to do anything with them, you'll be instantly killed. You'll lose all joy from playing the game. You will suffer. Suffer. SUFFER Yes, it may happen to be that you'd be able to run with veteran gear with a 10+ tier and some extremely rare artifacts on veteran servers and be killing everyone left and right. Alot of people talking about PVP and getting your progress stopped by players. This was a thing at launch. But the game is really dead these days. I run thru every area and see maybe, at most, 1-2 players. In fact its so rare to see another player, that when i do get killed by a enemy, im actually surprised. What are most players doing then? Theyre either doing the event arena for their battle pass, waiting for a blowout to farm artifacts, OR they are all farming in the far north. The Bar may have been a PVP hot spot in the beginning of the game, but now its very dead, and farming Pickles is way way easy now.
@knifecz4754 There are still players who go back to earlier areas to farm for a attachment etc that they may of have missed, or complete some early quests. But still, the game is very dead now compared to launch.
@@1vINFINITY It can be fun. I was really hooked on it, but you start to realize how big the grind is, and how that grind leads to more grind. You begin to get burnt out, but its still fun to waste some time, run around collecting materials, doing a few upgrades, then logging out.
@@povotaknight2063 Yeah, apparently the new X update has added alot more new players. Im at this odd point where my gear is +10 Veteran, its not quite Master tier, but its also not quite bad either, so most of the time matchmaker just doesn't know what to do with me, and puts me in a server all by myself. As for PVP at the bar, it still happens now and then, occasionally some megachad in his Master gear will be "farming pickles", and kill the people on their way in from farming, but its only about 10% of the time.

So many great tips and as a fellow loot goblin, I've already had people send me my backpack thanking me for all the goodies they got off my corpse lol.
Here a tip for people. You do not need to go to the gear guy to buy gear. Just click on note on the gear bag. There it will tell you what it upgrades into. You can click on that and get your gear that way. Same with accessing the AH on your pda.
fun fact: in the old versions of the game, the tutorial featured the charge jump mechanic. (and when i came back to the game i actually somehow remembed it lol)
@@blackjacka.5097for real, 300 bullets of 5.45 to kill 5 dogs (mostly headshots) and 3 Stalkers (only headshots) FPS's arent good support for an rpg. Feels like shooting bb's. (Tho im pretty sure a dog would just flee after 20 bb's at blank point IRL..)
Played this at release and the game was pure chaos. From Cordon to the Bar, PVP ruled and it was insane to farm anything. If going to farm stuff was hard, imagine returning lol. But trust me, Bar PVP was so good that i didn't waste a single Ruble with ammo or health pack, i just scavegend bodies and grabbed whatever i could to kill 4-6 players before dying and someone do the same stuff lol. Good Memories...
also, when in a base you can open the map and click on any vendor and as long as you're in the base it will open the menu (ex. getting barter items while standing next to dealer in bar).
Another tip about factions. If you do not like the PVP aspect of the game i STRONGLY recommend not chosing a sub-faction or choose it once you grinded very high end gear. Not chosing a sub-faction result in fighting 3 factions. Chosing one results in fighting 4.
Something i noticed, or im just blind, none of the grips say they are compatable with the AK-74m, but i crafted the bottom one you're first able to craft, and it went right on
I got myself to late game and joined duty, and mannnnn do the grind really become a chore. Too bad there's not that many players on SEA Server so I can't really find any grindmate

Thinking about getting back into this game. I never got super far. I was sniping before but I hear that now it doesn't one shot kill to headshot? Is this true? I don't mind using other weapons but sniping was hella fun I'd run around quickscoping.
When I run the game through steam, it prompts Failed to start process: open NUL: The system cannot find the file specified. Can you tell me how to solve this problem? I have tried various methods, but I can't run the game.

I have a TKB-0146M assault rifle and I cant level it up because Im a bandit and it says I need a HIGHer Stalker level how do I do this if im a bandit not a Stalker?
Same... After The Bar the grind just gets horrible... Like the number of items dropped is super low vs the amount required for an upgrade... Like 2-5 items and you need 100-150 even with the "members boost of 10%" you are looking at like 1 extra drop lol

Stalker content always nice. i like anomaly and many stalker mods also amazing. But anomaly and Gamma not need gameplay perfecting mod anymore. Quality story mods in anomaly will be amazing. Like dream catcher, true stalker, wind of time style but with anomaly gameplay. Anomaly gameplay simply better then even todays smilliar games.
From what I experienced so far (white artifacts and absolute dogsh**t KDA, so we can take these out of the equation): Full Blue (Stalker) gear up to +5, I was matched with similar geared people. Sometimes someone with a veteran weapon, but very rarely. AS SOON as I got my first pink (veteran) piece of gear, no upgrades, I was matched with veterans with up to +10 gear. The change was brutal. I played a couple days like this to see if it was a fluke but no, so now I'm upping my vet gear, dreading the moment I'll be put in pre-masters :O
The server bracketing is ass I have killed a blue gear player In vet gear in warehouse only to get killed by a guy with masters armor and gun on the same server, anything past fools path and warehouse are pre masters and masters just full of guys 2000 hrs builds and nothing to do but pvp

When I played it I thought it was really something special combining STALKER, Tarkov and Minecraft. I love the art style.
AFAIK it stemmed from a Minecraft modded server.

PSI artefact can go till 1.5 and Frost till 1.0, anything else is 0.5 :)
