she has a nice voice, and this song expresses a nice sentiment. my girlfriend, however, begs to differ. she says "she sounds wasted, miserable, and like she wishes she was still a little girl."
@ambrbeth: funny you should comment after all this time. i just heard this song on the radio last week (w/ girlfriend in the car!) and we both enjoyed it very much. and of course she has felt the kinds of emotions jessica's expressing here. do you think these emotions are so rare? no need to get in a huff because you love jessica so much. my girlfriend has a right to think this is a B+ performance. everyone has their own tastes, which are subjective.

Does anybody know what effects Richie is using for his guitar sound? Obviously delay, reverb and a volume knob/pedal. But which ones specifically? It almost sounds like a Boss RV-3 or something with that lo-fi tone.
