Perfect. Perfectly imperfect. A true joy to listen to.
this so cool..im a Lea too =D she's effin talented! i just discovered her yesterday and big thanks to that SCOTT dude from my call yesterday who downloaded some mp3s in amazon.com. the guy has some cool music and this is one of em..lucky me! =D She's just awesome!
Saw her perform in a bar in Cleveland when she was 17. Became an instant fan. Went back the next month to see her again, she had skipped town to go on tour.
I LOVE IT
What a great version of a beautiful song.
Beautiful in appearance, vocals and as a person. I love her.
I like this... very good song!
@mobettagretta
I was at that show as well. I had never heard of her and I thought she was brilliant! What a great concert all together! I had only been to hip-hop concerts before that and this was amazing....real chill and great music the whole night! She is going to open up for the Avett Brothers this saturday (5-29) here in Columbus.
its so sweet to see u and ur brother 2gether huni i miss u guys
love her slow voice
One of my favorite songs
That ambient guitar is what makes the song great.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful.
This is a fine, fine performance. Yeah, that's brother David Mayfield with the beard and the bass guitar, also known as Bassboy in some circles. In other circles, he's known as the wildman in the band Cadillac Sky, whose Dan Auerbach-produced new CD will be released 6/8/10. Buy 3.
(Almost sounds like I'm in the band, but I'm just a Mayfield fan....)
such a great song
**BEWARE: This song will haunt your dreams.
Incredible angle. 💖
so lovely :)
I'm crying.
@ilovechugs
Hey man, the guitar is a Gibson LG-O, (1958-1974). Similar to the guitars you have descibed (Martin and Guild)
but look at the tuning keys (tulip). She plays this guitar most times so the guitar is readily seen on UA-cam (Gibson headstock). Hope that helps!
@Balertwine David Mayfield also known to sometimes play with The Avett Brothers.
Now how sweet was that?
Very nice tune and she looks good here too... (prettier without the nose ring)
omg huni!! i miss u and ur brother :)
aghhh amazing performance!
and I know this is super random, but I'm pretty sure the drummer in this video is the drummer for Samantha Crain now (she's also pretty amazing, you should definitely check her out if you like jessica)
Yo, that guitar sound is wicked!
I actually wondered if it was a pedal steel or what...
@is1this1it
No, that's her brother.
1:34 watch thelove in his eyes...hahaha
i feel ya man...
How is he getting that guitar sound?
@jumeau1 Same guy - Richie Kirkpatrick.
Not really impressed with her voice but the song itself is perfect. Do love the way the Avett Brothers do it. This isn't an insult just my opinion.
Hipster isn't an adjective. So hip--I believe is what you mean. A hipster is somebody that is into hip things. A video cannot be a hipster because it is not a person.
so hold me..but only for today...
who's the guitar player? looks exactly like a guy from a nashville band called ghostfinger.......
She's good. I bet she is a big Gillian Welch fan...
@is1this1it
No, it's her brother. He has just as much if not more skill than Dan does.
god bless dave and her band but...this song just should be her with her guitar nothing or no one else...they wreck the genius outta it...yea i said it.
The lead guitar is annoying , but the rest is nice.
i'm sorry, you guys will probably hate me for this, but this is awful. i mean she's talented, and i like this song, but she just doesn't sound good.. it gets too monotonous
I liked her before she got on the dental plan.
So hipster.
