FIRST Global Airlines A380 landing at Prestwick Airport | 1st of May 2024

- An amazing visitor at Glasgow Prestwick Airport yesterday was this Global Airlines Airbus A380 registered 9H-GLOBL (previously it flew for China Southern as you can tell from the livery).
The aircraft is supposed to be flown to Malta eventually.

Incredible footage Jonathan! For years I’d hoped for an A380 to land at Prestwick….and finally it’s happened. Just a brilliant occasion with excited crowds lining the mound and on Monkton side too! Thanks for travelling to live stream the historic occasion. Just fantastic👌

Interesting to see this. I did a drive through Mojave last spring and saw a whole fleet of China Southern A380s in preparation for mothballing and wondered what would become of them in the future. Pleased to know they’ll have a new lease on life in the near future.
I wonder if China Southern had a say in flying it in their livery.

Reason for the gear down ferry is because airbus cant guarantee the gear will go up otlr come back down with having sat still for so long. The gear doors have to be removed as well for drag reasons. She will now need leg swings to prove integrity.

Yes it is one of the panels which looks like it was not secured.
Why do they keep the old paint of Southern if it s global?
It will eventually be repainted in Malta.

Yeah I agree, these kids needs to learn that this man is the OWNER of this video because he RECORDED it, he has every right to be pissed at someone for stealing his footage, even though he credited him, he did not wait for him to answer, i’m sick of these ice711 meatriders, and disappointed in ice711 too.

They didn't get repainted yet
Actually Global Airline Is Not Ready The Real Livery, There Want A Ferry Flight And Test Flight Is Made By Malta And There Still China Southern Livery And Operete Fly Air Malta
