    On a quadcopter/hex/octo you would test yaw/rudder by rotating it and the motors rotating the direction opposite of the way you rotate it should speed up. For example, if I yaw it by hand clockwise, the motors spinning counter clockwise would speed up.
    Correct me if I am backwards, but I think this is right. I am going to test it on my quad tonight.

    Now I wana NOTE there is a NEW beeper called VIFLY AND had a built in batt u plug into the TX if u lose link, toss a batt, ANYTHING it will beep up to 100 decibel and has light, even a sensor to stop beeping after sunset so it can beep again in the morning! A must have! @flighttest u should carry this or make one!

      Yes they are cheap but after you factor in the modules you have to add to it and a rechargeable lipo battery and a really good receiver, you might as well get a frysky taranis

    I am a late commer to the series, but have seen most and built several this winter. I am retired with a lot of time on my hands and BAD Hearing. The Turnigy BSEC Programming Card is a must when programming the Speed Control. I built the Tricopter and am waiting for the Programming Card. Hobby King has great prodicts but the shipping is terrable, even from the US warehouse.

    Rather than balance motors by adding more weight you may consider using a dremel and sanding very small amounts of the motors bell housing off. I cannot stress "very small amounts" enough but once done there is no slippage and overall you may shave a few grams from your total weight instead of adding to it.

    I really don't know anything about this very cool hobby other than watching vids. I am wondering if a design that pitched all three rotors toward the center would increase speed, response and stability.....

  • @marhar2
    @marhar2 13 років тому

    One more... make sure you install your stabilization board oriented properly. I put mine in at 90 degrees once, and as soon as you turn on the throttle it tries to correct itself by flipping upside down!

  • @NewTheLabel

    Sooo in davids v1-2 plans he cut out motor mounts and now he has the motors mounted directly on to the wood spares. He also has the yaw servo moved vertically underneath the arms. Is there any benefit for this? The ESCs are close to the props is that to help cool them, is that needed? i assume he does this for a reason of better performance

    Good work guys. The whole tricopter is really getting too me. But i do have one question, cause i'm pretty much a novice, if i build such a tricopter, what remote do you recommend ? How many channels, wich frequence and which button's to have full control over the vehicle? Bear in mind i'm only a poor student so my budget isn't that large. thanks! :)

    @UtRadioGuy You have posts up everywhere about it? Yeah, I think I read a few. Not trying to flame you but why don't you just make an anti-HobbyKing rant video or something. HK is a crap shoot, but you can't beat the price. When ordering from them, if it's insurance you want, my suggestion is buy two of whatever. It's probably cheaper than buying just one anywhere else. Please don't make everyone's mention of HobbyKing your personal complaint line. We all know the service (and QC) is substandard

I have posts up everywhere about it, and still nothing. They could care less about the customer. I left this here because HK supports you.
