I suggest from my high level of forced induction knowledge that you use install an electric intake supercharger from amazon. They're only about 7 dollars and you can easily tape 5 or 6 of them together for maximum boost-y-ness. No reason for name brand superchargers or turbo chargers.
lol it's a production car underpowered from factory but with some tuning it's a little rocket, SEAT Ibiza CUPRA Bocanegra. SEAT is part of The VAG group Audi, vw etc same engine as the VW Polo GTi Basicly it's a little 4 cylinder with a supercharger and a turbo producing 180bhp and 186 ft-lb weights about 1200kg this that's 2200pounds? +Cleetus What you need dude, is big single turbo (because let's be honest, big singles make more power), nitrous (to help spool the turbo, will give chemical intercooling effect if used while on boost and power goes up exponentially when used on forced induction with a selected jet size) , E85 (cause your going to need all the octane you can get) and methanol injection (again, cause you want/need all the octane you can get- you'll end up with a cheap equivalent to race gas). You want a TH400 with a trans brake and a mechanical locker and the biggest set of slicks you can put on it. You could make well over 1000hp like this and with the weight difference between you both, he won't be able to touch Leroy. Get yourself a decent aftermarket block, use a 4.125 inch bore, a set of ported LS3 heads with trunion upgrade to rockers. Use a Holley High Ram and one of their ECU's or an MS3 Pro Gold Box for cheap equivalent. And finally put the best set of coilovers on it you can afford, double adjustable front and rear and spend some time dialling it in on a surface close to what your going to race on. Stay away from manual if you want to drag race this thing, with the turbo it'll just be a nightmare to launch consistently. This is a winning recipe. And hey, get a cage dude. You don't want to crash this thing without one
Yes, there is less energy in E85 than 112 octane race gas, but you burn more of the E85- so it doesn't end up making any difference. The same can be said for methanol, but you burn so much more of it that the engine will pick up 30+% power. The ONLY down side is that the extra fuel your adding is displacing SOME of the air in the inlet runners and cylinders, but again as long as we're not talking straight methanol it doesn't make much difference. I myself just ported my inlet runners about 15 - 18% larger than I would have had them for a gas powered set up. Easy fix, huh?!? And you only burn 25 - 30% more E85, so the slightly lower energy content is partly negated by the fuels own oxygen molecules. It supplies it's own air to an extent, they call it an oxygenated fuel just for future reference
And the E85 costs a fraction of what the race gas costs. E85 and meth injection can give higher octane than 112 race gas too. Meth injection alone can supply 116 octane using 91 as the base fuel
do a huge single turbo, it's cheaper, easier and a lot more reliable, could also make more power than twins, whatever you decide we'll all be here taking the journey with ya! Good luck, let the bald eagles fly, hell yeah brother
Put the biggest twin-screw you can find. Whipple and the like, I mean. H.C.I.E are mandatory. Make sure you have an iron block. Go Meth and E85, with NOS as well. THEN rout the exhaust through 100-125mm twin scroll single turbo. Forged everything. Titanium if you can. 15-inch wheels with the biggest, widest, thickest, stickiest wrinkle wall drag slicks you can find and fit. Skinnies on the front. Powerglide or no more than a 4-speed auto, either option must have a trans brake. High stall [4000-5000+] torque converter. Anti-lag for the turbo. Wheelie bar. Weight added to the rear for grip. Probably some rachet strapped sand bags or something. Devil's horns screamer pipes out the top like the 'world's fastest CTS-V' Let's see.... Am I missing anything??
devil037 Dunno. Depends on the tranny ratios and how fast the motor will turn. I think it'll have to be geared for 275mph with as much power as my proposition would make and I'm no expert, so idk if that'd even be possible with a powerglide.
Who woulda thought that in just 4 relatively short years ol' cleet would have several world records, become the owner of his own race track, shop, and have a house on a decent plot of land. Props to you man, I know that you've had a good team behind you but you've definitely come a hell of a long way
I guess at some point every UA-camr ends up explaining how they make a living. I'd rather be out and open then keeping it a secret, but Kyle went ahead and blew that door open for me anyway lol #TEAMCLEETUS #Leroyslilbitch
methonal or E85, supercharger, turbos, and nitrous! and do something to strengthen the block. Maybe cyro and sleeves? But seriously at the least do e85 and huge turbos. Maybe an air to water intercooler too?
Do Headers, cam or ghost cam with nitrous so u can hit a button and show them what it's about and exhaust then an all American supercharger... DO IT!!!!!
Daniel Brealey - A ghost cam is just a stock camshaft that has been tuned with a fuck ton of timing and AFR to sound like a big lopey cam. It's really popular with Coyote motors.
Bonus Option! You always learn during changing/tuning different set-ups. Knowledge about a "quick car" is better than a single proven build, only because all options provide different obstacles to overcome. You never become complacent, you continue to adapt.
What about twin charged? It's basically a combination on Turbos and Super Chargers. So you get the insta torque of the SuperCharger and the Hp of Turbos
theres no need to twin charge a mild ls turbo build, just added complexity. also, you'd be silly as fuck to do a twin charge setup and not run them series so it helps spool the turbo as well as compound charges the air. tuning isn't any different to any other boosted setup, would just take that little longer to tweak the tune to run under all load/rpm/boost conditions.
I was thinking that too. While I would like to see it, personally I don't think it's anything more than a glorified, show car, look at what I built thing. I think he can put as much to the tires, maybe not the ground if you know what I'm saying, running a well tuned twin 76 setup. I just hope he can hook it up. #TeamCleetus
Ever considered compound turbo setup? Be able to build boost faster and also have huge adjustability. Then toss on a water meth kit just before the intake to keep it cold and allow for more timing. I'm running snow performance and use -20 window washer fluid as my secondary fuel source, works really well.
I think turbos would be the better set up for this build. Because the car is so light you will spin like crazy trying to get off the line with a supercharger or nitrous unless you go progressive nitrous. While turbos would let you get off the line on mostly motor (launch and not spin) then come in for the acceleration once you're moving down the track.
There is no way he's 21. He said he lives with college friends. Unless he dropped out, he wouldnt be 21 since hes been making these vids for over a year. He's 25 minimum. 27 probably.
Cleetus, I propose NITROUS and TURBO(S). As you probably know N2O will be more effective with forced air in the mix. I propose a hidden N2O kit for a stealth 100 or 150 shot behind some twin-turbskies. Might just be the silver bullet necessary to put that Unicorn down for good.
the purpose of a twin-charge set up is to eliminate lag. the supercharger will give instant power at low rpms then at a high rpms the big turbos will take over, and of course it requires a clutched supercharger and electronically controlled bypass valve to directs air to the turbocharger, basically when big turbos are spool up the clutch engages on the supercharger basically bypassing it to let the turbos take over
ivank20r yes but a twin turbo setup is something different. that would require different sized turbos. what he said is a bi turbo setup. two 50 mm turbos wich both get exhaust gases have a similar lag like a 100 mm turbo wich gets all the exhaust gases not like biturbo where each gets just half the pressure
Dude, I think this would be cool but it would kinda loose Leroy's character, BUT IT WOULD HELP IN THE RACE, hear me out Full. Carbon. Fiber. Corvette. C5.
let the haters hate cleetus. as far as Leroy goes, everyone knows the LS makes enough bottom end, so a supercharger would only further the already present traction issues. nitrous and larger single turbo is the way to go. using the nitrous to help condense the air going in will help the large turbo spool faster and reduce lag. with plenty of adjustability and better top end, you'll have the advantage.
im know Kyle's vette is gonna have some power you should put a rollcage in the c5 and put some type of custom doors. that have like vents or something...that would be killer eagles for sure do everything for Dale😁
Austin Stone I wouldn't add doors to a car like that, its just adding more weight. If the car was being used more practically then I would probably consider doors.
I am so bummed missing out on the early stuff. I go back and watch, not the same. Got here with the 1000hp camaro that left skid marks while idling. Totally invested since.
To add something and quote Jay Leno, "It is much more satisfying to drive a quick car quickly, that to drive a fast car fast." It is true that there isn't alot of difference between the feeling of 140-180mph, mostly how quickly you get there. 0-100mph in under 10 seconds is fast by most reasonable standards.
You need to be thinking about how to get traction to the ground. LSA supercharger with or without turbo is not a good idea. Too much low-end grunt is just going to blow off the tires, especially with no weight in the back. Better off with a single large turbo or centrifugal supercharger that will build boost with rpm. Also, think about adding some ballast to the back for weight transfer and more traction. Might even be able to pull the front wheels. That would be "Doin' it for Dale" right there.
Mighty carmods did a great job of making a video for supercharger versus turbos. Pro's supercharger is no lag, con's are no boost by gear possible(at some point you are going to be need to switch to a drag radials or switch your transmission). Pro's turbos the provide noise dampening. Con's full exhaust system overhaul required. My choice is twin Garrett's GTX40 on flex fuel with rolling anti lag
maby have a look at a combination supercharger and turbo boost setup! the supercharger will make sure theres no lag and the turbos will compensate the superchargers power drain at high rpm but may possibly need a built block depending on the amount of boost run
Think like an Aussie, go fully forged 6L block stroked out with a 8/71 blower running on e85 with methanol injection with a 200 shot for the big end and a 2 speed powerglide.
screw these haters. there's no reason to give them a whole story cleetus. you know what you do and how you live your life. people judge before they know anything about another person. just because you work your ass off and have nice things at a young age doesn't mean your getting your money given to you.. keep it up bro.
Supercharging and turbocharging at the same time is the best option for taking full advantage of the big v8s low end torque and for pushing big hp at the big end just sayin
This video is awesome. A lot of people keep what they make, pay for, and owe and do for a living hush, hush. Takes a lot to put that out there man. Really admirable.
I've watched 1320 for years now, and I've watched Cleetus pretty casually for like a year, and I just now learned in this video that he worked for 1320. Thats crazy.
tbh, cleet ,rear mount turbo(s) doesnt have lag. ive had a 350z w/sts turbo kit and a 2002 camaro ss both are a beast!! spool up all day., i would put twins in the back , the sounds is brutal !!
Balance the crank and new pistons, rods, rings, bearings and arp hardware with MLS gaskets.... Stock cyclider heads flow pleanty of CFM, so leave them alone. Top it off with a choppy turbo cams for the twin turbos... Done!
run the LSA supercharger and 2 rear mounted 3576 turbos out back you'll have the torque to get off the line until the turbos kick in between 3500 and 4000 rmp
Sooo happy to see people young like me doing big things! I'm 21 years old with a Camaro SS.. It'll be pro charged in the near future. Keep working hard man!
Turbos make more power vs a blower on the same boost. Id go compound turbo or even big single if you can conquer the lag. Spend the whole time fine tuning a turbo setup, don't do a blower then change to turbo... Unless you run both🙂
You should call your Vette "The Unicorn Hunter" No need to explain yourself Cleetus. I don't care how you get what you get, I get the bonus benefits in video form. Thanks for the hard work
See if you can get Hurons competitor in the corvette market, UPP, to send you one of their turbo kits and tune it on E85.... Then put a 15" wheel on the back with a 28" drag radial... Simple and effective.
Sitting here watching these videos as my carpets get cleaned. You mention GForce Media and suddenly I remembered ordering a shirt. Check the tracking it says delivered. Just opened the "Hell Yeah Brother" 2.0 shirt package!
Thank you brother for opening up to the community, and representing us young entrepreneurs that know how to handle our finances! Being young and having desirable things will always bring us more judgment. I say show him who's daddy! Heads, cam, LSA, Nitrous, with cadillac badges. #DaddyLeroy
Obviously #4, hell yeah brother! Procharger, BIG cam, valvetrain upgrades (Pac valve springs), heads, and crank up the boooooosssssstttttt! Let the bald eagles rip broski! Do it for Dale!
I feel like it's going to have issues putting the power down, there's no weight over the back end, and it's going to have soo much chassis flex from the extra torque.
If you want to win, absolutely the fastest setup is a dialed in single turbo. Have someone knowledgeable size the turbo specs exactly to your head's flow bench results. You need to get your suspension and drivetrain really set up properly, (rolling and regular) launch control fine tuned, and no lift shifting. Dont do any type of supercharger, dont mess around with nitrous, dont do twin turbo, dont spend money on a supercharger setup AND a twin turbo later, nothing else. Also, keep in mind you are by far a better driver, and the worst thing an inexperienced driver can do is get behind the wheel of a high horsepower car. You could probably out drive him just on heads and cams. There is no way he will be able to gain the experience needed to pilot an 8 second MANUAL street vette. He might be able to make it in the 10's, maybe. Maybe just set your car up for easy, repeatable low 10's or high 9's. Do the math on what kind of horsepower and torque needed for Leroy's weight, and go from there. Good luck man, I will sure enjoy watching you make Leroy's Bitch.
Cleetus and Leroy, its good to see some good ol fashioned shit talkin where people like you guy's dont get butt hurt. Man live it up and push the limits. But leroy is gonna need some attention cause kyle is on IT! Best of luck man keep the good stuff coming
Keep living the dream, I love the vids... I used to street race back in the day with one of the founders of street car takeover, now I'm a boring CPA lol
as much as I love superchargers, a single turbo would probably be best because of how light the car is. instant boost with no weight in the rear would be an instant loss because of tire spin
Nitrous on a progressive controller with afr o2 bung hooked up keep you in the green run a 300 shot take the 500 feet pounds of torque extra you'll get and plant it with sticky tires
you forgot the 5th option, nitrous to get off the line and supercharged...till the two big ass turbos actually start to build boost. GO BIG OR STAY HOME!!!
I'm saying if you want to go a cheap route, Do a ported stock heads, get a nasty custom blower cam, get an LSA supercharger and have it ported, pulleys, e-85, and then do a 150 shot.
I suggest from my high level of forced induction knowledge that you use install an electric intake supercharger from amazon. They're only about 7 dollars and you can easily tape 5 or 6 of them together for maximum boost-y-ness. No reason for name brand superchargers or turbo chargers.
Do It With Dan DAN
Dan you used to be dope!
Leroy the salvage is pretty damn funny... no one can deny that hahaha
Cleetus McFarland you freaking awesome dude
Cleetus McFarland do a giant single turbo and spray it
Cleetus McFarland true
Maybe consider running a little spray to light a bigger single turbo. Might help you hook within your 60ft and come in heavy up top.
Alan Brock totally didn't see your comment. Cleetus do what he said haha
OPTION #5 Twincharged (Supercharged & Turboed) !!!!!
Craig Jack YES!!!!
My last car was twincharged best of both worlds
gotta have some nitrous sprinkled in there too ;)
Craig Jack that's freakin awesome my dude. I want to see one in person soooo bad lol
lol it's a production car underpowered from factory but with some tuning it's a little rocket, SEAT Ibiza CUPRA Bocanegra. SEAT is part of The VAG group Audi, vw etc same engine as the VW Polo GTi
Basicly it's a little 4 cylinder with a supercharger and a turbo producing 180bhp and 186 ft-lb weights about 1200kg this that's 2200pounds? Fitted with a dry clutch 7 speed DSG gearbox
Anyway remap upgraded intercooler, suspension work etc car was running 225bhp with 350nm or 260 ft lb
1/4 was around 12.8 something
Not bad for a 1400CC ENGINE!!!!!!!!!
2017 I'm broke AF
2019 I own my own racetrack.
2021 I own a toterhome and a stacker, and two 7 second corvettes.
The dude is stupid smart. He built a platform that allows him to chase dreams man. It doesnt get better than that.

And now an airfield!
What about BIG single turbo and nitrous to spool it?
jeffery walker exactly??
Don't forget to vote on the card in the video... #ALLTHEDADDYMONEYSSSSSSS
okay too far lol, kyle's vette is too nice to put Leroy's little bitch on xD
imo
Please cage the car.

Paul I was thinking he can put 10 5533's in it but I guess a big single works.
Sarcastic Fuck Why 10 5533's if he could easily do 500 turbo keychain whistles
Paul singles are nice but what he needs is something to spool quick, small twins would do well, or a medium size single and spray the hell out of it
LSX_ moe All this spool talk got me missing my friends supra 😥
Paul what a brilliant idea

Cleetus McFarland I bet your parents payed for your stuff throughout your childhood #daddysmoney
bwahaha yes they did!
Cleetus McFarland drag that shit bro. twins with heads and cam!!!!
Supercharger then small shot on top for gap insurance (and it cools the intake temps)
methonal or E85, supercharger, turbos, and nitrous!
and do something to strengthen the block. Maybe cyro and sleeves?
But seriously at the least do e85 and huge turbos. Maybe an air to water intercooler too?
Hey can you find a small jato rocket and strap it on Leroy? There is no way he can beat a rocket assisted twin turbo vette!
I'm 20, in college, and am nowhere near as set as Cleetus. Shit makes me sad.
Honest to who, I am the same. Except 30. And I dont work as hard as him
Dang going back and watching this it’s hard to believe Leroy has become the best corvette in the country lol hell yeah brother! God Bless Murica!
He works hard... who can hate that... this guy does an amazing job and is very entertaining
Do Headers, cam or ghost cam with nitrous so u can hit a button and show them what it's about and exhaust then an all American supercharger... DO IT!!!!!
Ghost Cam? Hit what button? What the nitrous button? I don't get that. Never heard of any cam that becomes badder when you hit a button...
Daniel Brealey - A ghost cam is just a stock camshaft that has been tuned with a fuck ton of timing and AFR to sound like a big lopey cam. It's really popular with Coyote motors.
My vote is Roots Superchager with a wet nitrous spray as an air cooler/lube for the supercharger then you get added combustion
please let this be a friendly competition.
GODSGUNSGLORY well he works for the guy, so it's gotta stay pretty friendly or he's fired!
yea i know, i guess ive been watching some other channels where "friends" get butt hurt over petty thing.

I second this, compounding boosting is the way to go
Cheap and twin charging isn't a thing lol. On top of that you're not gonna make any more power that route. I say single turbo vette.
Twin charged would be the best always staying In boost may I suggest a whipple
Twin turbo, supercharger, NOS and new ECU. Too much?
Plus straight pipes
Dan Records u can make ur own straight pipes
It's still good to move the hot air away from the engine bay via exhaust
Twin sts rear mounted turbos. No lag and no intercooler needed. The piping is long enough to cool the intake charge without an intercooler.
2020 this dude is a real life rockstar
you know what thats actually pretty cool for 21 your gonna get pretty damn good
oh i'm voting for team cleetus
This is what it means to do it for dale. hell yeah brother
Wait, Kyle isnt your Dad? I thought you were conceived on a cool summer night in the Stereo West parking lot

Have to go pro charger then twin turbskies!!!! That would be a sick experiment. #LEROYSLILBITCH
fuck I thought forsure you were like 25-30 lol. you don't look or act 21.
misk one foreals i tought he was like 35 haha
+Flako 214 how old are you kids to think he was that old?
HBC423 I'm 21 as well and thought he was 27ish lol
35s a bit of a stretch hahah! i'm 30 though, hence why i'm surprised.

With out a doubt you just need one BIG turbski. I think in the long run that is cheaper than running twins and you can still put out big ol' digits.
For an eighth mile a twin screw would probably be best so u have a strong low end for a better launch. Just make sure u got tires that can handle it
im know Kyle's vette is gonna have some power you should put a rollcage in the c5 and put some type of custom doors. that have like vents or something...that would be killer eagles for sure do everything for Dale😁
Austin Stone jeep tube doors would be sick
Austin Stone I wouldn't add doors to a car like that, its just adding more weight. If the car was being used more practically then I would probably consider doors.
DO OPTION 4: with twin turbo please that will be so cool!!
Like if you agree...
Louis Barningham but a big single will make more power
Louis Barningham yeah twin turbos are mostly for the wow factor, ive seen big singles perform better than twins on many occasions
Louis Barningham singles tend to make more
#4
Full tube chassis and kinda tiny sheet metal cart style body would look deadly on that, all satin black with hardware to match wheels
My choice is twin Garrett's GTX40 on flex fuel with rolling anti lag
maby have a look at a combination supercharger and turbo boost setup! the supercharger will make sure theres no lag and the turbos will compensate the superchargers power drain at high rpm but may possibly need a built block depending on the amount of boost run
looks like Leroy is getting some superchargers and turbos that should definitely be enough to Leroy Jenkins that unicorn
You should compound charge it! Both turbo and supercharger simultaneously!
super charger, for low end. big turbo for high end. and 150-200 shot of nitrous just click the heels at the 300ft mark
If done proper, you shouldn't deal with boost lag if it were twin charged so rear mounting the turbos should be all good.
Twincharged. M122 with remote rear turbos. run the turbos into am intercooler fed into the supercharger that has the a2l intercooler.
tbh, cleet ,rear mount turbo(s) doesnt have lag. ive had a 350z w/sts turbo kit and a 2002 camaro ss both are a beast!! spool up all day., i would put twins in the back , the sounds is brutal !!
If it's a stick go supercharger immediately boosted but if it's an auto go turbo so the turbos don't have to re-spool every time you shift
Balance the crank and new pistons, rods, rings, bearings and arp hardware with MLS gaskets.... Stock cyclider heads flow pleanty of CFM, so leave them alone. Top it off with a choppy turbo cams for the twin turbos... Done!
run a compound boost setup with supercharger and turbo. the supercharger would give you power off the line and turbo would keep making on the top end.
run the LSA supercharger and 2 rear mounted 3576 turbos out back you'll have the torque to get off the line until the turbos kick in between 3500 and 4000 rmp
Why not try twin charging, Use the supercharger for the extra power untill the turbo kicks.

Sooo happy to see people young like me doing big things! I'm 21 years old with a Camaro SS.. It'll be pro charged in the near future. Keep working hard man!
Is it charged?
Turbos make more power vs a blower on the same boost. Id go compound turbo or even big single if you can conquer the lag. Spend the whole time fine tuning a turbo setup, don't do a blower then change to turbo... Unless you run both🙂
the A&A supercharger system is pretty good for cheap! makes good power on stock engines
What if you did twin charging? Supercharger and turbo. Zero lag. Will be complicated but it is possible
Simple and effective.
you like to make a lot of noise the best sound you can get is twin rear mount turbo. I've seen a c6 with it and it sounds amazing.
Much respect to Cleetus. Thanks for clearing up the rumors not that you really needed to explain yourself.
heads, cam, zr1 supercharger cuz its bigger than the lsa..... should make a reasonable 700+ horse perfect for how light the car is
why not do a twincharging set up? have instant power of a supercharger and have the high end power of a 70mm turbo. just a thought.
The newer Precision turbos are really good. Probably your best route.
Twin Turbskis, but one belt driven. twin charged. One procharger (or equivalent) one driven by exhaust.
I feel like it's going to have issues putting the power down, there's no weight over the back end, and it's going to have soo much chassis flex from the extra torque.
saw you MC the takeover outside OKC in November. that's how I found this channel. keep it up
I freaking love how you named your car Leroy hahahaha, If i get a car next semester Im calling it Maria HAHAHA, DO IT FOR DALE!
I would go with option number 2. My dad has a 2010 camaro ss with a Hennessy supercharger kit. Keep up the good videos Cletus!!!!!
Keep living the dream, I love the vids... I used to street race back in the day with one of the founders of street car takeover, now I'm a boring CPA lol
lol I love this battle u guys r doing. genius to keep ppl interested and checking in on both channels. go team Leroy!
as much as I love superchargers, a single turbo would probably be best because of how light the car is. instant boost with no weight in the rear would be an instant loss because of tire spin
Be smart. Single turbo, boost by gear, tires, driver mod, and a hell of a tuner.
procharger with a ramped in shot of nitrous on top I think is the best route for this light weight of a car.
