@@NenadSapungin UK, I bought my long range in Feb 21 (march delivery) for £46,990, it was about the same in USD at $46,990, but the conversion rate at the time meant I've paid the equivalent of $65,000
You started by comparing Tesla to a BMW. You should have added an economic car like a Toyota Corolla or Toyota Prius. If you redo this with a cheaper car Tesla becomes much more expensive to own. You also don't factor maintenance for the cars. The difference in cost between a Tesla and an economic car is more than double or triple. The only way Tesla is cheaper in any case, is if you drive a lot of miles per year. Like 40k or 50K. And even in this case your maintenance cost will increase and you might need to replace something expensive. Also if you factor the cost of gas at $3.943 current national average Tesla becomes more expensive than BMW. Even if you use lower cost for KWH than Cali. Tesla still comes more expensive. If you drive much less than the national average miles per year Tesla becomes much more expensive. Tesla is overpriced piece of junk.
Yes, with an economic car that is roughly half the price of the Tesla, the Tesla is MUCH more expensive. The reason why I chose the BMW is to try and make to comparison a little bit more fair. Most people that are considering a Tesla are typically not deciding between a Toyota Corolla and a Tesla.. I did factor basic maintenance for the cars in there. Is there a source you can site confirming that maintenance is double or triple? I am assuming you are referring to if something breaks and needs to be replaced, not just general upkeep/ maintenance?
Hey Nenad! Great and detailed video! How could I access that spreadsheet? I would like to input my own prices to see the calculations.
Send me a message on IG and I'll send you a copy!
I was going to get the model 3 instead I bought the model Y, but I since sold it

I would say so! I was just taking the average here in California 😁
Interesting comparison!!! I for sure still want a Tesla after watching. :)
Not a bad choice!!
You're lucky, in any other country it's about 20% more expensive!
Definitely! Which country are you in? Is it more expensive where you are also?
