It is very interesting observing the puppies in unfamiliar and stressfull situation for the first time in their young lives. Wathcing them one after another in quick succession, it is fascinating to differences between their personalities. The 4th puppy will be the aggressive, barking and protective dog, the type of dog you hope your neighbours won't get. The last one in quick contrast and juxtaposition, you could see that she was more reserve and hesistant and definitely not agressive. Already showing signs of the type of dog 10 000 years ago who wanted to a pack member with humans for all the comfort associated with people. Where as the first dog would be the type of dog at the perimeter of human camps in the distant past, barking and protecting against wolves and other predators in return for food from humans. Those types of dogs can get pissed off when you start to baby them.

What excellent breeders to have them professionally groomed at 8 weeks. So good for their socialization! These pups are getting a great start in life. Breeder socialization is so important because owners don't get them until at least 8 weeks, and socialization prior to 12 weeks is so important. It's such a small window.
When I was a child my mother bred and raised Siamese kittens. It was the job of my sister and me to play and socialize them as family pets from the moment of birth. Nice work if you can get it. Those kittens socialized me in return.

They just require a good amount of exercise, I know a lot of people with German Shepherds who have so much pent up energy causing them to lash out (sometimes with my dog if he's around) because they aren't properly exercised and/or socialized.

Unforyunately, my male GSD was 7 months old when I got him- dropped him immediately off at Petco for grooming, and when I came back to pick him up they were scared SHITLESS... they had eyes as big as saucers and said "He DIDN'T like that!!"
Mine too! Especially today because I got stuck at home alone for Christmas because of a blizzard. I've no Christmas meal food stuff because I was supposed to be going away I'm feeling a tad sorry for myself, mainly because my Son who was online playing a game the same time that I was, didn't wish me Merry Christmas, yet both my ex in-laws texted me this morning, wishing me Merry Christmas! I divorced their Son 30 years ago and we still speak; the in-laws, not the ex-husband 😂

"That's easy!" the little girl says while you clip the puppy's claws. That is one brave little girl! I used to have a cat and would get terrified whenever I had to trim her claws. I always used a slow, low-powered, spinning file though, as I could make sure to not cut her quick that way. I would be WAY too scared to use clippers (but I'm not a professional).
I love that you let the little girl help you. Idk that many others would have for liability purposes. But this may have gotten her a jump start into the grooming world. ❤
Not a day nor a dog goes by without me thinking of Dixie, my grandmother's German Shepherd Chow-Chow mix who passed away 11 years ago now. I see her face in every dog I come across. But definitely much more so in any German Shepherd. I look forward to the day where I can have another dog in my life again. But I look even more forward to the day where after living my best life with all those I love both still to come and now gone, to be reunited with all those I've lost human and animal alike, as we can finally be together again for eternity as we all meet on the other side of that rainbow bridge. Until then, I'll continue to reach out and touch the lives of as many animals and humans alike so that we may all live our best lives happily. And I will protect those lives with all I've got so that that they too may have their freedom and happiness realized.
The long haired puppy was so cute! If I had him I'd save all his fluff and spin it into yarn. It sounds crazy but yarn made from shed dog and cat hair can be so luxurious and soft.
I had a black and tan plush coat as we call them here, retired show dog at 10 months. He was more of a homebody than a show dog. One of the smartest dogs I have ever owned!

I had a black and tan plush coat as we call them here, retired show dog at 10 months. He was more of a homebody than a show dog. One of the smartest dogs I have ever owned!
I love black dogs, long haired is a beauriful bonus! Home grooming is cathartic for me.
