Hi Megan! I am a Muslim mom from NewJersey. A few months ago I was visiting Lancaster and felt it was a great opportunity to appreciate all your hard work so I left a flower pot on your drive way and a note but I think it was soaked in rain. Just wanted to let you know that you are an inspiration and we resonate so well.
Back in the 70s, we used paper bags from the grocery store to cover our textbooks. We didn't have stickers back then, so the covers were a blank canvas for writing and/or doodling. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Hi Megan! I'm a southern baptist mom who sends her kids to public school. What we do have in common is that we are sisters in Christ who both love the Lord! I love your content!
I used to teach 2nd grade and to be honest (and this is not meant to sound rude at all!) I have found this new trend within influencers to push teacher gifts multiple times a year. This is something I never experienced as a teacher, besides Christmas or teacher appreciation week, nor have I done for my kids teachers. So I don’t think they’re necessary, but gift cards are probably the best option if giving one
We give straight-up cash 😂😂😂 I don't think they need my gifts. Once in a while it's an Amazon gift card but usually we give some green bills twice a year
One thing I wish I got more often as a teacher are fresh flowers or live plants for the classroom just to really freshen up the space! Succulents are great!
I love that my kids wear uniforms. It cuts down on the back to school cost since they can hand them down to siblings. It also eliminates the whining when they get dressed because they are picky with clothes. We'd never get out of the house if they got to wear regular clothes to school!
Yes - love a school uniform for those reasons too! Our kid's schools (in the UK) were pretty simple - a polo shirt in the school colour and trousers/skirt in black. There was a school sweatshirt with the school logo on it but you could just buy a plain one in the same colour. Everyone looked the same, which was nice, and the clothes were usually very robust and washed well.
❤ megan never stop being the awsome mother that you are. everything that you did for back to school for the kids was amazing. The teachers gift were so thoughtful and cute.
For me it's so wild to see all the supplies you need to buy for school. Where I live (Sweden) children get everything they need for their school work at school (including lunch). We do pay for it, of course, through taxes, but it does feel like a more efficient way to do it.
Depends on the area you live in. I taught at a school in a very poor neighborhood and we supplied all the stuff. More affluent neighborhoods have a school supplies list sometimes.
In the UK the state schools supply everything, tho free school meals are often means tested. However in private schools - like Megan uses - there's not even a pencil provided and you have to buy every text book too!

Megan, you look so well-rested and …maybe happier? I know y’all have been through the wringer with Fletcher and I’ve been worried for your health! I’m still praying for your little guy. But I just wanted to get you an “atta girl!” Great job, sister❤❤
My youngest has Chiari Malformarion and has had multiple brain surgeries. We decided to homeschool after his diagnosis due to long hospital stays. It has been the most amazing transition for our family ❤
Such sweet teacher gifts! I homeschool, but we go to a co op once a week where the parents take turns teaching and I always like to give a little gift to each parent who teaches. Loved the ideas!
You always have the most creative ideas. Thanks for the trip down memory lane covering the book in paper. We used grocery store bags and then doodled away! I hope your kids have the best school year!
Love the idea of home making fruit leather! You always have the best recipes 😄 come to think of it, I remember you doing whoopie type pies in a video some time ago that I forgot to try. I’d love to give oatmeal pies a go too. I’ll have to try and find the video. Would love to see a compilation of your top favorite recipes all together
I hope your school allows snacks with peanut butter a lot of schools don't now. But the fun of getting ready for the new school year is sure a part of children's memories as adults. Your making good ones.
I went to private school k-12 and I have to say, even as an adult, I miss the uniforms. Especially the jumpers. Nothing like a fresh ironed pleat on the first day of school 😂
I went to Catholic schools and had to wear a uniform; our dress had to go below the knees. Of course I hated it! But after having my own children who did not have to wear a uniform, I many times wished that they did, no choices just put it on! I was one of five children, so I am sure it made life a lot easier for my parents!
Such a fun back to school video. Loved their decorated water bottles! I miss shopping for all the back to school supplies for my kiddos. We only got to shop for kindergarten. Their school has been providing all supplies except a backpack.
Every kid deserves a good education. Christian private schools, homeschooling, or public schools. Having a choice is key. The more affordable the better. Education should be considered human rights along with vocational training after high school. Schools should teach more than the basics. Having a knowledge of the Bible is the most important education of them all. Salute to all the teachers this year including my Wife that teaches 3 year olds. 🏫
Definitely agree and love everything you have said. Especially the vocational part. Most school districts have pulled technical and vocational schools in my area and don't offer it after high school. Super sad because college is not for everyone.
I have to disagree about teaching the Bible if you aren’t also going to also teach about the Torah, Quran, the different Hindu books, etc. Not all children come from a Christian household.
@@pink071602 Jesus calls on everyone and offers salvation for those who receive it. Giving a kid a Bible in school and them reading it like other textbooks is a great way for not only them learning about Christianity but they can take it home and share it with family. 📖⛪
How exciting Megan💖. My daughter is starting a Christian preschool this year and so it is going to be quite the transition! Anyway, your family has been in my prayers thanks for sharing. Love your channel, Megan.🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
We have a college student, middle schooler, & a primary schooler this year. Love back to school but we might need to take out a loan to get everyone everything! 😆
Wishing you all a blessed school year! We’re starting our homeschool year on Monday with a 9th, a 6th, and a 5th grader! Time truly does fly-I’m not sure how they got so big!! 😭
I remember thinking a year was so long you can't even imagine where you'll be in a year. Now it feels like a couple months and poof, we're starting a new year again!
I love the video. Your pink t-shirt is so cute. As a homeschool mom I love back to school shopping, maybe even more than my kid. I always buy myself the cute stuff too 😅.
Watching this bought so many memories back to when my daughter was that little & the covering of books,I loved doing mine when I was at school & then of course my daughters. Vonnies face so intently Watching you cover her bible ❤ adorable. What a beautiful design on her bible aswell that cover will definitely have to go in the special memories box. Great upload Megan, have a wonderful weekend & I'm so pleased things are settling down for you all. 🙏 ❤
Hi Megan .. I sense a new sadness in you. So sorry for what you have been going through recently, unfortunately these bumps in the road are something none of us can escape. Try to concentrate on the positive, it will get better ..
hey girl- loved the video! 😁 great back to school stuff😉👍 Megan you are doing a wonderful job as a wife and mother❤ yummy food to😋 y'all have a blessed weekend🥰
As always, Megan, thank you for sharing. I have to try the granola they look so good. Hope everything is going well. You’re still in my prayers. God bless you and your family.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I give my kids' teachers Welly Band aids for a gift. They are fun & as an Elementary school teacher kids are always getting hurt & Band Aids Fix EVERYTHING!!!
I had a 2nd grader and kindergartener last year with two little ones at home as well, (at a private classical Catholic School). Now I can't believe, my little 4-year-old will be joining them at the preschool a couple days a week! They grow up so quick!
Hi Megan! For the stickers you think are cute, but say inappropriate things on them, you can just cut around the picture on the sticker and still use them. I cut the picture out, before taking the back off of them. That way you can still use the cute stickers. Just my thoughts... 😊
If it doesnt work out for your son to attend school you be a "homeschool" mom 🤭 I do hope he can go but homeschooling is so fun and allows for so much freedom (travel, family time with grandparents, ect..).
Thanks for the wonderful video! I am interested in the Wild deodorant. I went to the link and tried to order a pack which includes a case and refills. I selected a case, but the refills were grayed out and I could not select one or proceed with the order. I started exploring the rest of the site to try to find help and saw that the address listed is London - I think England. Do these deodorants ship from London, or do the they have a location in the states?
Megan you are such an inspiration to me! I hope Evonnie and Fletcher have a great school year! Please know that your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I wish you would go through the whole stack of ‘inappropriate’ stickers for us lol. I would be doing the same thing!! And I’m just nosey and want to see what you chose lol But seriously though, I can’t believe they would mix those Jeep ones in there! That’s CLEARLY a bag of stickers for young children. It’s like they were hoping the kids would find those stickers and use them without knowing the innuendo.

I'd love to hear some opinions on the Wild deodorant from people who have tried it. The native deodorant never worked for me but I want to switch to a natural one. Thanks!
I thought your teacher gifts were great, they might appreciate a sticker with their names as well. ❤Idk if it would work well, but that clear matte spray paint will take away the shine of lamination
I've never heard of having to give teacher gifts at the beginning of the school year. I always believe it's good at Christmas or end of school year.

Ummm, this is not ok. I know ur intentions were most likely good, but u can't just show up to someone's house uninvited.
Yes not good at all. Totally agree 100%@torimts

I remember doing this!
That was always so much fun. I loved decorating my books.
My school used to have them printed and gave them out at the beginning of the school year. I used to love folding them around my textbooks.
We did this in the 80s & early 90s too!❤
Some schools still do this! :)

I agree, those brushes are the best! My girls have thick wavy/curly hair and it works so well, no more crying when we brush
Pens, mechanical pencils and sticky notes are great usable teacher gifts
Such a fun back to school video. Loved their decorated water bottles! I miss shopping for all the back to school supplies for my kiddos. We only got to shop for kindergarten. Their school has been providing all supplies except a backpack.
Megan! For the school sign they have a matte clear can of spray paint to cut down on the glare! Try it out ☺️
Gotta make those fruit strips!!

Wow, the reusable cases on the deodorant is such a cute and unique idea!
I appreciate that you don't just buy new bts things just to buy new. If they don't need it, then hold off buying it.
I have a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe that uses dried cherries. Semi sweet chocolate with slightly tart dried cherries. Great cookies!!!

Great video Megan. I pray for Fletcher often. I believe he will be great in school. He's gonna be fine.
You could trim the words off the jeep stickers. I do that with stickers I love, but don’t care for the words or if they’re inappropriate.
Yes! I was going to say this too 😊 can just trim ‘em!
